This is hands down the best homemade bread you can find in Italy! The rabbit leg and pasta were absolutely amazing. Sadly, as a young couple, our appetites were too small to try more, but we sincerely wish we could come back to taste the rest of the menu. On top of that, the restaurant’s decor and paintings are beautiful—the elderly lady who runs the shop has incredible taste in both food and interior design. Highly recommended!

Had a super delicious meal at Trattoria Papa Re!!! We both had the tagliatelle alla bolognese, because why else would you be in Bologna. For dessert, my daughter went for the homemade gelato di crema and I for the semifreddo alla liquirizia; 5 stars for this cozy restaurant that is run with a lot of love in an authentic Italian way.

09/08/2026: The atmosphere is super welcoming, the traditional Bolognese dishes are truly delicious, and special mention goes to the super kind, helpful, and friendly waitress. I highly recommend them.

23/07/2026: Loved, loved the seafood pasta and another seafood dish at this restaurant with Amalfi roots/ties; beautiful ceramic plates from that area, also; they took us in even around 30 minutes before closing; service was great; will definitely go back
