16/08/2025: Excellent boneless, fat-free rib-eye steak, cooked rare. My wife had a generous roast beef, all served with a side of fries and grilled vegetables, two desserts, coffee, 2 liters of water, and 1/4 cup of sparkling white wine. All for €57.

06/08/2025: I found the Osteria by chance, while I was out on my motorcycle, when I saw someone coming out and noticed a rustic feel. I wasn't wrong; the stone restaurant is very homely. The gnocco fritto and mushroom risotto made for a truly wonderful lunch. The gnocco is made according to Emilian art. Oh, and don't forget to pick up the excellent honey and a can of Galup, which are fabulous and you'll be amazed by their deliciousness.

14/09/2025: Place to be if you are in Modigliana. Good pizza and cosy tables in a small alley. Friendly staff, but they don't really speak English. One star less because we couldn't pay by card, only cash.

06/10/2025: Great hotel in the inner city of Bologna. The rooms are not the newest and the wall to wall carpets could be exchanged for proper flooring but because the walls also have fabric on them it is very quiet in the room. The staff was very friendly and all relevant amenities were given
05/10/2025: The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring Bologna. It also offers a secure on-site garage, which we greatly appreciated and was a key factor in choosing this hotel. Our room was very large, as was the bathroom. The breakfast buffet is very extensive by Italian standards and offers something for everyone. 26/10/2025: We visited the Paltrinieri vinegar factory in October 2025. Our guide (Anna) was very knowledgeable and available to answer our questions. It was very interesting to learn how balsamic vinegar is made and to see the barrels in which it is produced. The tasting of the different types of balsamic vinegar was also excellent. At the end, we also enjoyed a delicious aperitif consisting of crescentine, various cured meats, Lambrusco, and Grana Padano with balsamic vinegar. Highly recommended!
