08/05/2026: We walked in and it was kind of empty (cause Americans eat early haha) but we were greeted warmly and we got some different foods to try as much as possible and our waitress(the Mexican-Italian one) was super amazing, she recommended really good foods, wines, and was super attentive despite having many other tables once it started filling up. Definitely would go back again.
04/05/2026: This was one of the best experiences we've had in Florence. We had a group of 7 people and they were super accomadating. Pamela was our waitress.
We were immediately greeted with prosecco for our table. The restaurant had everything for all of the group to find something to eat.
Our group had for starters: mixed salad, eggplant flan. Then for second course we had: pici pasta (the garlic and the ragu were the favorites). For main course, the cod was the favorite and the steak was okay.
Favorite dessert was the coconut pudding (like a flan), we also had the tiramisu and creme brulee.
Would totally come here again. Absolutely delightful.

04/05/2026: The atmosphere was pleasant and the servers were friendly. The lasagna was good and plentiful, but not exceptional. The touch of limoncello was a nice addition.
04/05/2026: I absolutely loved the restaurant! We were very warmly welcomed and had a wonderful experience.
We tried the burrata, cacio e pepe, and spaghetti, and we also had the house wine — everything was delicious!
I highly recommend it, and I only regret discovering this place on my last day in Florence. I hope to come back one day!

08/04/2026: We had a great lunch here! Food was incredible, great wine selection, excellent service and a amazing atmosphere. We also had our two month old with us and the staff was very accommodating. Would absolutely recommend.
We ordered the timballo rustico, pici ragù, and lamb with the side of the day (seasonal asparagus).

We tried gnocchi alla rosticciana and ravioli mugellani al ragù, both well-seasoned with rich, flavorful sauces. The fresh pasta is a plus, and the dishes are quite generous.
The appetizer of Tuscan crostini is also good, simple but in keeping with the restaurant's style.
Overall, it's a very good place, ideal if you're looking for authentic Tuscan cuisine. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing.

13/04/2026: A typical trattoria just outside the walls of Volterra. Excellent for enjoying authentic, traditional dishes. The waiter who served us was very knowledgeable and helpful.
We enjoyed excellent pici with duck ragù and spectacular pappardelle with hare ragù, all washed down with a delicious house red.
Highly recommended for a tasty and affordable stop.

We were in the area for a short vacation, and we had dinner and lunch at this wonderful place. From the courteous, friendly, and professional staff who guided us through our selection of dishes, to the fantastic dishes, to the quiet and meticulously maintained, yet comfortable, location surrounded by greenery... without a doubt, you must try it and return! As we will every time we're in the area. Thank you!
30/04/2026: A proper Tuscan countryside restaurant: no frills, no tourist traps. The bistecca is the main event, and it delivers. Handmade pasta is solid too. Warm, family-run atmosphere that feels genuinely local. Worth the drive from Siena.

07/05/2026: Trattoria Mario’s bistecca alla florentina is the BEST steak I’ve had in my life. It’s a must if you’re in Florence. We went at lunch and it was quite packed, so plan ahead! Great prices as well.

Best Florentine steak in Florence, tender, well seasoned, fantastic! And very reasonably priced.
Quick and attentive waiters.
The restaurant is over 70 years old and endures thanks to the quality of its dishes.

18/04/2026: We always return with great pleasure. We're regulars, and when we pass through Florence, it's our only stop, as it's the last bastion of Florentine cuisine and a place to enjoy a quiet dinner, laughing with the owner and experimenting with flavors.
The owner is a delightful gentleman, friendly, smiling, welcoming, and a true Florentine. He explains the dishes with love and always has the right advice.
The dishes are limited; don't expect a 200-course menu, but in my opinion,
A place that offers "little choice" is because it knows what it's doing and knows what it's preparing for you, and trust me, it knows what it's doing.
If you're passing through Florence, in my opinion, it's a must-see.

20/04/2026: We were staying in the area and had dinner at this trattoria. We ordered three fillets and asked for a tomato-filled picio for my daughter.
Everything was delicious, cooked perfectly, and the meat was tender! Even the tomato sauce for my daughter's picio was expertly made (which isn't a given when you go to a restaurant and ask for a dish off the children's menu).
Special mention to the waitress; she was kind and attentive throughout the service.

19/04/2026: The Florentine steak melts in your mouth (the wild boar pici is also excellent), the prices are very fair, and the hospitality and friendliness are excellent. A true trattoria, as it should be.
