03/07/2026: Local restaurant atmosphere just off the main square, which made it quiet but central. We had a superb meal which was very clearly made with care and attention, bruschetta to start followed by pasta, steak and a side salad. The food was served by lovely people who were very attentive. The owner even took the time to have a short chat after dinner. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking delicious Italian food and a very pleasant atmosphere.

10/07/2026: I came hoping to have the fish dish on Friday, but it seems they don't have any. So I ordered chicken, but that was a mistake. I should have ordered beef. If you're coming for lunch, I recommend arriving 20 minutes early.

30/06/2026: My husband and I are at Due Cippi dal 1976 in Saturnia. A tall, bearded young man in a black shirt — Lorenzo, the Meat Master and co-owner— approaches our table carrying a heavy rustic wooden board. On it rests an absolutely magnificent raw Chianina steak. He places it gently in front of us with a proud smile and gestures toward the meat with an open hand. I lean in for a closer look. The steak is over 2 pounds and thick-cut, easily three fingers high. Its color is a deep, vibrant cherry red with beautiful, intricate marbling of white fat running through the muscle. A thick, creamy-white fat cap runs along one edge, promising incredible flavor once it renders over the oak fire. The meat looks incredibly fresh, dry-aged to perfection, and full of promise. Lorenzo stands there patiently, letting me inspect every detail before it heads to the historic “due cippi” fireplaces. This personal presentation makes me feel completely involved in the experience — it’s not just a steak, it’s a conversation between the kitchen and the guest. We nod with a big smile, giving our enthusiastic approval. In a few minutes, this beautiful Chianina will be transformed into one of the best steaks of my life. The anticipation is wonderful.

15/06/2026: The pasta is good, but nothing extraordinary. It's a pleasant restaurant, and you'll probably eat well, but knowing it has a location in New York tells you it doesn't have the same authenticity as some other places out there.

13/05/2026: We ordered the four course tasting menu. It started with 2-3 appetizers, all of which were delicious. My wife is vegetarian and they didn't have that option on the menu for the four course dinner, but the chef Barbara creatively improvised each dish to give my wife the vegetarian version of each course. We were both super happy with the food, the service, the setting and the congeniality of the family who runs this restaurant. We highly recommend it! And we will return for sure.

04/07/2026: This was our second time eating here. There's a rather small outdoor seating area, but it's cozy, even though cars drive by and lots of people stroll past. The service was very attentive, provided by a young woman who was very friendly both times. 👍🏻 And I think the food is excellent, whether it's the salad (very fresh), pasta dishes like the filled ravioli (menu del giorno), or the gnudi fiorentini di ricotta (no picture) – everything is delicious! 😍 The meat dishes are also highly recommended.

12/07/2026: Truly excellent. Not to be missed. The atmosphere is elegant, with beautiful windows overlooking the valley, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is excellent. We had three different dishes, all perfect. The owner, Mr. Pier, is a truly affable, pleasant person, and passionate about his work. Worth the trip.

08/07/2026: We came here just for one last wine and in the end ordered insalata caprese and chocolate desert. Their wine list is more like a wine book, bit wine by glass was delicious. The salad and desert also great. View is fantastic if you manage to sit by the window. Excellent service, very polite.
