Excellent and friendly service (in English upon request) explains the menu in a friendly manner, ensuring the best pairings without any hint of arrogance. A fitting highlight for a visit or vacation in the region!

17/05/2025: Stavamo cercando da un po’ di giorni un’osteria in zona Chianti che potesse racchiudere buon cibo ed atmosfera e devo dire che la cena ha rispecchiato appieno la ricerca. Buon cibo con piatti tipici e produzioni artigianali ma quello che da uno sprint in più è stato tutto lo staff. Sempre simpatici, disponibili rendendo la serata divertente e conviviale.

28/04/2025: "Super" During our stay in Florence we had the pleasure of dining at Buca Poldo, an authentic hidden gem just a few steps from Piazza della Signoria. The atmosphere is incredibly romantic, thanks to the suggestive position in a characteristic alley which offers a truly unique experience. We started with a simply delicious first course, which immediately conquered the palate, followed by a truly superb Florentine steak: cooked to perfection, tender and tasty, one of the best I've ever tasted. The service was impeccable: quick, attentive and very professional. The staff also proved to be extremely knowledgeable in recommending an excellent wine to pair with our dishes. Special praise goes to Luciano, the owner, who welcomed us with great warmth and courtesy, making us immediately feel at home. Finally, the value for money was excellent, especially considering the very high quality of the dishes and the overall experience. In summary, Buca Poldo is an unmissable stop for those seeking authentic Tuscan cuisine, excellent service and an unforgettable atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Even now, under the new management, we enjoyed our meal immensely, and the service from the two gentlemen was fantastic. We were very pleasantly surprised that we could speak a little German. 01/05/2025: A normal, homely, unpretentious pub with good food and a Tuscan view. We ate well, we recommend it, we will come back :) The male side ate a well-prepared steak, the female side ate pasta with truffle sauce, all tasty and at affordable prices. Stuffed with good tiramisu.

05/05/2025: Nous avons découvert cet excellent restaurant sur recommandation de la propriétaire de notre gîte. Une cuisine de grande qualité a des prix très abordables. Le patron parle français et anglais. Nous avons essayé la pièce de bœuf à la Florentine, un régal. Nous étions tellement satisfaits que nous y sommes retournés le lendemain.

06/05/2025: We stayed one night in this property with a group of friends, a particular hotel, a bit rustic with slightly old furniture, but overall not bad, but the dinner was very positive with a variety of first courses all of excellent quality and the waiter Stefano was very sociable and attentive to our requests, as were all the other people in charge of the restaurant, even the manager was a very kind person, we will definitely be back

30/05/2025: Sono stato a cena con un gruppo di ex colleghi, siamo stati benissimo, servizio cordiale, attento e simpatico. Eravamo in otto, abbiamo ordinato un antipasto misto per tutti, con salumi, formaggi, crostini di polenta, e classici crostini di pane. Tutto eccezionale. Io con altri due commensali abbiamo ordinato una bistecca fiorentina cotta sulla brace, tenerissima, succulenta, gli altri hanno optato per le tagliate con vari condimenti, tutto ottimo. Per contorno abbiamo preso delle patate arrosto (l'unica pietanza non all'altezza di tutto il resto) e poi porcini e fiori fritti, un tripudio di sapore, croccanti e soprattutto non unti. Buoni i dessert che abbiamo assaggiato. Conto assolutamente in linea con quello che abbiamo mangiato. L'unico appunto è sull'odore di cucinato che purtroppo rimane addosso una volta usciti. Per tutto il resto siamo al Top.
