08/07/2026: We had a great time! Excellent food, excellent value! The Florentine steak was truly top-notch!

08/07/2026: This is our second time at Da Bule, and it's truly special! The menu is extensive and offers many traditional local dishes, all carefully prepared and truly delicious. We tried several dishes, including carne salada (salted meat), meat tartare, tortelli, pici (typical Tuscan pasta), tagliatelle (typical Tuscan steak), fried vegetables, and, to finish, cantuccini (typical biscuits) with vin santo (sweet wine). Everything was excellent, with generous portions and quality ingredients. The restaurant is simple, yet precisely for this reason extremely characteristic and welcoming. The staff is very kind and helpful, and the service was attentive and pleasant. Da Bule will definitely be a regular stop every time we return to this area. Highly recommended!

12/05/2026: The atmosphere is welcoming, well-kept, modern, and warm (with the kitchen and dining room staff's artwork and names). The service was prompt, prompt, and friendly. The grilled octopus was simply spectacular. The scallops and tarte tatin were also delicious.

28/04/2026: We had a superb last evening with our family in Gastone. After all the lovely but meat heavy diners we had in Florence so far, this was a perfect ending of our trip. The quality of the food is outstanding, as well as the service and the atmosphere. They take food serious here. We wanted to share starters, some pasta’s and a main. They were really flexible in accomodating our wishes and the waitress made good suggestions on what to choose and how many portions would be enough. They also did good wine pairings and let us taste some wines we did not try before. Every dish from starter to dessert was simple, but of outstanding quality, just made with good ingredients and care, like you want Italian food to be. Can recommend the scallops, dry aged fish sashimi and the pasta with bottarga - some very special dishes for real fish lovers you would not easily find somewhere else. Although having a full dinner with multiple dishes is pricier than the average restaurant in Florence, we thought all in all the price/quality ratio is very good.

09/05/2026: My cousin Luca and I decided to take a motorcycle ride together, leaving from my house in Fauglia to head to San Gimignano. Beautiful roads, a blooming season, a sunny day, and... a million people who had made the same choice as us, going to San Gimignano. Having motorcycles didn't do us any good; we ended up getting a fine for "parking" them in a corner where they weren't a nuisance but weren't in a "permitted" space. A bit of anger toward a city council that doesn't understand that, when access to the city is limited, a bit of flexibility is needed. After all, we're there to bring in tourist money. Well, that aside, we chose a slightly less central restaurant to avoid the crowds: "Il Pino." Elegant, with tables on a side street with no traffic and not too many people. We sat at unattractive tables and chairs without tablecloths, which didn't match the high-end restaurant prices. Fortunately, the food is excellent, with a wide selection without being overwhelming. The staff is very friendly and close-knit, which is evident from the fact that it's a long-standing family business that also includes a B&B. I asked permission to photograph and tour the place, and they very kindly said yes. The rooms are very beautiful and include a beautifully renovated former stable. All in all, a very pleasant experience that I recommend. The only reason I didn't give it full marks was the lackluster nature of the table.

05/05/2026: We stopped by on a whim and pushed open the door because the menu looked so tempting. We were so glad we did for lunch. The asparagus and truffle risotto was excellent, and the stuffed pigeon was sublime. The wine pairings were superb! Kudos and thanks to the waiter for his generosity in sharing his regional specialties.

01/04/2026: It's a typical Tuscan place, but one of the real ones (I say this as a Florentine). The food is really good and the house wine is amazing. Plus, the staff is friendly and helpful.

The setting is magnificent and fully contributes to the gastronomic experience. The wine list is remarkable, with top-quality pairings that enhance each dish. A huge congratulations also to the service: professional, attentive, and warm. Special mention goes to the handling of allergens, managed with great seriousness, care, and kindness, which is particularly appreciated. An exceptional restaurant that I recommend without the slightest hesitation.

06/07/2026: In June, we visited this restaurant at 7:00 p.m., never imagining we'd be there to witness one of the most beautiful sunsets in Tuscany. The view made the experience even more special. As a courtesy, they served us a fresh and delicious tomato and basil appetizer. I ordered the duck ravioli with orange, and for dessert, a chocolate and pistachio cake; both were spectacular. Without a doubt, a place I would recommend for both the food and the ambiance.

04/07/2026: We had a fantastic experience at Ristorante La Dispensa del Palagetto. The food was absolutely delicious, and you can really taste the high quality and freshness of the ingredients. Every dish was prepared with great care and full of authentic Tuscan flavor. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit, making us feel right at home. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food and service. On top of that, the restaurant is located in a beautiful setting with stunning Tuscan views, making the whole experience even more memorable. Highly recommended – we'll definitely come back!

20/06/2026: When you drive past, you think: "who would want to eat there?" But when you go inside, you are warmly welcomed and excellently and hospitably 'taken into the culinary world of Valdarno'. The menu is offered to you in English, and the dishes were so delicious that we dined there again two days later. What nice and lovely people work here!! Fluent English/French (hostess) and the host does his best to speak some English, but his Italian is much better... A well-oiled machine here.

21/05/2026: The restaurant looked very promising on Google — lots of photos of grilled meat and it clearly seemed like the owner cared about the place. Google also showed it as open. Because of that, I walked an extra 4 km to get there. Unfortunately, when I arrived, the restaurant was completely closed. I ended up continuing on hungry and honestly quite frustrated. Please update the opening hours to avoid wasting other people’s time.

06/07/2026: Delicious florentine steak and brilliant service. Staff were so lovely and down to earth. Had pasta as first course and this went down a treat, felt special but rustic at the same time.

11/07/2026: Magical sunset dinner – the ultimate Tuscan experience! Having a sunset dinner at Le Tre Terrazze was the absolute highlight of our trip! Sitting outside on the terraces as the sun went down over the rolling hills of Tuscany was an unforgettable, breathtaking experience. The atmosphere is purely magical. The food perfectly matched the incredible view. It is authentic, homemade Tuscan cuisine at its absolute best. Every dish tasted incredibly fresh and was paired perfectly with local wine. The service was warm, welcoming, and very attentive. Tip: Definitely book a table in advance to secure an outdoor spot for the sunset, and park at the bottom of the village. The short walk up to this hidden gem is steep but absolutely worth it. A true 10/11 experience!

07/07/2026: A wonderful discovery! In all our years of visiting Amiata, we had never been there, even though we had heard about it... The place is delightful, welcoming, and very well-kept despite its simplicity. The food is excellent, well-cooked with quality ingredients. The service is very friendly and fast. The entire management is family-run, and this, in my opinion, is the added value!!! Fair prices. Reservations are essential on weekends, and not only, especially in the summer.

01/07/2026: Beautiful al fresco restaurant in the middle of the woods. Superlative homemade ravioli, not to mention the livers, the best I've ever eaten in my life! Very friendly service and more than fair bill. Well done!

27/06/2026: One lunchtime, when it was 37°C outside, we received a very warm welcome in a large, cool room where we had a wonderful time. The service was impeccable, and the dishes were generous and authentic. Good value for money. The chef even came to check on us, which is rare these days. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely be back.
