Their steak is brilliant and their service is top notch too.

Florence is overrun by tourists these days and so most restaurants have become over-commercialized and cater to the YouTube crowd; indeed most serve the famous Bistecca Fiorentina.  This one is an old family eatery which I remember from my old days here and hasn't really changed; good home cooked meals in a cozy friendly atmosphere.   I went there with a couple of old Florentine friends and had a wonderful lunch.  I had the chicken pate bruschetta, but also a cabbage soup and a vegetable starter.  Main course consisted of a couple of different pork chops done extremely well and juicy; as well as a beef tongue entry.  Sides were simply chickpeas cooked in traditional Tuscan style.  Of course we also enjoyed a bit of house wine.  By any measure a great meal and not fancy.  Grazie.

Cosa dire? Locale che trasmette tutta l’autenticità e la veridicità della cucina fiorentina. Servizio ottimo e nel pieno rispetto della tradizione locale. Piatti fantastici. Consiglio ribollita e paccheri al ragù! Assolutamente da provare e da rispettare per quello che realmente è nella sua essenza e tradizione.

rispetto ad altri posti pettinati paghi meno e mangi meglio. sempre pieno bisogna prenotare, davvero eccezionale. grazie
