23/03/2024: A very nice environment with pleasant and attentive service. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was below expectations and did not justify the price, making us miss good traditional trattoria cuisine. I took the tasting menu. Except for the paccheri with lamb, which are more than good. For the rest, a good but very tough suckling pig, a decidedly bland egg cooked at a low temperature, and an appetizer based on mushrooms and potato cream, beautifully presented but not exciting. Even the tiramisu, very light, didn't tell me anything. From what was supposed to be a masterfully revisited Lucanian cuisine, I definitely expected more.

03/03/2024: Piacevole domenica trascorso in un bel locale dove abbiamo mangiato molto bene ad un prezzo più che giusto. Ottima anche la torta preparata da una pasticceria locale.

03/11/2023: Excellent reviews encouraged us to try this grill not far from the historic center of Bernalda. The restaurant is on two floors, with a butcher's shop on the ground floor and a grill on the first floor. There is an elevator reserved for disabled people and people with reduced mobility, otherwise the upper floor is accessed via a staircase. The furnishings are very simple, I expected something more. There is a counter, not particularly large, where the available meat is displayed. There isn't a lot of choice, but the grill attendant is very helpful in providing explanations on all types of meat. We opted for a Marche rib eye, a Tomahawk, onion bombette, classic bombette, pork ribs, carpaccio, spicy sausage, chips. The two excellent steaks, very tender and tasty meat, perfectly cooked. Onion bombettes a must try. The crusco pepper offered was very welcome. Fast service compared to the average in the area. Prices are quite high when compared to the grill restaurants in the area, but taking into account the excellent quality I would say that the approximately €150 that we spent for 6 people is a fair amount.

06/04/2024: It is a take-away rotisserie - pizzeria with a few seats. They are all hard workers. The products are made with local flours and fresh ingredients because they work hard. The queues of people on Saturdays are a sign of the large number of their customers. Moderate price. Highly recommended

01/04/2024: Siamo stati in coppia con mia moglie per il pranzo di Pasquetta. Abbiamo mangiato alla carta. Antipasto della casa molto buono e scialatielli con porcini, tartufo e crema di pistacchio eccezionali. In chiusura due dessert, un babà e un tiramisù buoni. È stato offerto una pastiera e un caffè dai proprietari. Il tutto innaffiato con un buon vino locale. Esperienza positiva. Lo consiglio e da tornarci. Bravi ragazzi.

Genuine products of own production, traditional dishes prepared with skill and professionalism by Mrs. Franca. The place is hospitable and comfortable, the service "personalized" and the price very honest. We will be back!!

24/03/2024: A very cool vibe. We went for both aperitivo/ light meal as well as in the evening when the place becomes more of a bar. Interesting menu options and drinks - the b-tschips are the best!

30/03/2024: Around Matera we found a cave-style restaurant, where we ate some very good pizzas with local products! I don't think they are the best pizzas in the area, but the space, the service and the good product make a perfect pairing!

01/04/2024: Highly recommend - delicious pizzas, friendly and helpful service and fair prices! We had daviola and stracciatella and speck - amazing ingredients, generous toppings and so tasty. The room is calm and cosy and the severs very friendly.

06/04/2024: My experience dates back to Easter and I can't say anything bad about the environment which, as expected, is very beautiful and evocative, in one of the most beautiful spots in the city. The food was quite good, although not as special as described in the reviews, but the service unfortunately left a lot to be desired! The room manager was kind and welcoming, unfortunately she left us in the hands of a waiter who I don't even know how to define. To get water we had to ask for it several times, giving up the last jug due to exhaustion. Ditto for the wine, almost as if it were a favor (among other things, the second bottle was not the one we chose). The glass from a broken glass that was not ours remained under the table for the entire lunch despite our repeated requests to remove them. But what's worse is that we also paid for dishes that never arrived at the table and unfortunately we realized it too late. It's very sad because those who are local certainly won't come back...

06/04/2024: I stayed 7 days in Matera with my wife and we tried the "Ai Palmenti" restaurant, we had a great time, friendly and helpful staff, splendid location located inside a typical local cave, delicious food prepared with the freshest raw materials first choice and attention to detail, during our stay we returned a second time.... highly recommended.
