18/11/2025: La Fedda Rossa was our base for a 2-day vacation in the beautiful Matera. We were blown away by the exquisite dishes and the quality of the ingredients used. Below are photos of the dishes: breathtaking cruschi pepper cones, incredibly delicious meatballs with a lemon potato sauce that I can't even begin to describe; the pasta dishes (strascinati and orecchiette alla materana) were phenomenal, not to mention the Ciccio bruschetta and the berry cheesecake. I highly recommend the place, especially for the kindness of the waiters, who made us feel right at home!

17/09/2025: We stumbled upon this ice cream shop by chance. I was struck by the elegance of the place and then by the ice cream. The flavors are different from the usual and delicious. Delicate yet enveloping. Go and savor these delicacies, you won't regret it!

04/09/2025: Located next to the Antico Frantoio restaurant, it's one of the best gelaterias in Bernalda. We had granitas there the two nights we stayed there. It's well-maintained and has an attractive display case. Prices are reasonable. Both the gelato and granita are definitely worth trying. I highly recommend it.

12/11/2025: The service wasn't up to par for a refined establishment; the waiters were unprepared, distracted, and unprofessional. Out of three courses, only one was adequate (a mixed fried dish), while the fusilli (good) was undercooked, while the cozzmorr tasted only of grilled meat, and the offal was stringy and rubbery.

12/11/2025: Might be cause of low season but there was plenty of space outside to watch the sunset and Campari spritz + pizza slice at 12 EUR which is pretty affordable compared to next door

31/10/2025: How wonderful to find out we'd paid an extra €5 because we sat on the terrace: it wasn't marked at all, we weren't even warned, and besides, we couldn't see a thing because it was dark. There were two of us, and one of us even had his back turned. LIKE STEALING MONEY FROM PEOPLE.

10/06/2025: I'm from Matera but I've lived outside for many years. I emphasize this because going to Anna's means tasting the TRUE FLAVORS OF LUCAN. Out of this world lasagna, broad beans and chicory, orecchiette turnip tops, fried breadcrumbs and crusco. Braciole, sausages and so on and so forth. It's all stratospheric! Well done and kind ❤️

02/11/2025: For the first time, I came to Pomarico, a stone's throw from Matera, for work, and on the recommendation of some acquaintances, I was directed to this restaurant. I couldn't have given better advice. The food is truly excellent. The veal tagliata is spectacular, with a side of country-style potatoes. Even though one of the house specialties is horse meat, whose cuts are processed in various ways, including the diaphragm, which is very difficult to find, both for veal and horse. The only flaw, if I may say so, but it's not so much a criticism as a recommendation, especially since I stand by the five-star rating, is the bottle of Primitivo di Manduria. It can't be served chilled; it's blasphemy. Otherwise, everything was excellent. I hope to return. Highly recommended. See you next time.

02/11/2025: An evening with friends in a welcoming and charming atmosphere, with excellent food. Good value for money. Definitely recommended.

01/11/2025: We ate very well. The platter they gave us was very generous. There were four of us, and the platter for two was more than enough. The starters weren't very generous at first glance, but they filled us up in the end. The waiter was very kind, and the service was very efficient. The atmosphere was very beautiful, typical of Matera. The path to the Tibetan Bridge is nearby. All in all, it was a wonderful experience.

10/10/2025: Don’t miss this spot when you’re in Matera! Our sandwiches were incredible (burrata, mortadella, pesto) and the service was warm and inviting. Highly recommend!

06/10/2025: It's worth deviating a bit from the main road for the best panini we've had in Italy. The ingredients are fresh and delicious, and the tiramisu made by the owner is one of the best we've had in the region. Definitely a place worth recommending :)

15/10/2025: It's fantastic. It's mostly locals who order here, so the pizza is top-notch. I just hope the pizzeria's distance from local attractions doesn't turn it into a viral attraction for the Instagram crowd.
