05/08/2026: San Biagio restaurant did not disappoint. We had a great table with a beautiful view of Sassi. The food was delicious. Our server was very welcoming and made some great recommendations. Definitely an amazing spot in Matera.

10/08/2026: I ordered beef carpaccio and it was thickly sliced and very fatty, and then a mixed salad, and in the bowl I found rotten arugula and the rotten ribs of the green salad.
28/07/2026: Simply the best in Matera. All the classic dishes are perfectly executed, with quality products. Da Nico is a "Presidio Slow Food", and when you eat there you understand why it deserves it. Amazing wines at very interesting prices. Excellent restaurant!

18/07/2026: A delightful four-day stay with half-board. This agriturismo perfectly embodies the spirit of hospitality and pampering, from breakfast to dinner. Kudos to Chef Salvatore. It's also strategically located, just inland from the Lucanian coast and its beaches.
19/06/2026: A beautiful, family-run farm. Besides the organic vegetable garden, there are also many animals to discover. The hosts are very welcoming; we and our children immediately felt at home. They cook with great care using their own organic produce. The homemade cakes at breakfast are especially delightful. We would come back anytime and highly recommend the farm.

18/07/2026: Good food in decent portions. The Fioroni fig jam paired beautifully with the cheeses. We loved it and returned for another dinner.

The pizzas are EXCELLENT. The price is reasonable. In fact, given the location overlooking the Sassi, I'd say EXCELLENT.
Congratulations on the excellent turnout for a quality product.
15/08/2026: As soon as we arrived in Matera, we went to the terrace here and were so impressed by the view. Now I understand why other reviews mentioned going twice. The food was delicious and the view was great.

The degustation and wine pairing was sublime.
It's very rare I give a 5 out of 5 for food but this place was stunning. I only gave 3 out of 5 for the atmosphere because there were not many people in the restaurant when we dined and the decor had a conflict of personality. I would have like to have seen more classic Italian decor to suit the 16th century dwelling. But please do go, it's amazing 🤩
