05/01/2026: Excellent bakery in Matera, also open on Sundays. Very welcoming staff and delicious products. We tried the bread and the "scorsette materane" (a real treat, especially the orange one). Highly recommended!

29/12/2025: A typical Lucanian restaurant serving traditional dishes in the beautiful city of Matera. The waiters were incredibly friendly, and we asked them for wine and food recommendations. Excellent dishes, highly recommended! One detail we noticed was that the menu wasn't very extensive, as the ingredients were repetitive across the side dishes, first courses, and second courses.

We visited as a group and tried several options: the meat was truly excellent, top-quality, and cooked to perfection. The pizza was also very good, as were the pasta dishes, which were tasty and well-prepared. The service was friendly and the atmosphere pleasant. A place definitely worth a visit, we highly recommend it.

18/01/2026: We attended a tasting to sample the food from my son's wedding reception. The reception hall is large and spacious, and it's comfortable. I recommend the owners find some acoustical solutions to dampen the reverberation of the chatter of two hundred people. The tastings went very well and gave us good advice on the menu choices. The staff was friendly and professional.

27/12/2025: We came to visit Matera and were looking for a place to stop for lunch. We couldn't have chosen a better place; we opted for seafood. They were truly excellent. The quality-price ratio is unbeatable. Highly recommended.

25/11/2025: Today at lunch, I saw all the positive reviews that inspired me to try this restaurant. I can say that the quality of the ingredients and the preparation are truly excellent. We had two portions of cardoon pie, one parmigiana, and one fried artichoke, along with three bottles of water for €24. The dining room is welcoming and clean. You can use the restroom. Highly recommended.

14/11/2025: I've known the restaurant for a while now and I highly recommend it. The location is perfect.

27/10/2025: The restaurant is located in the busy Piazza del Sedile, and we stopped for dinner by chance. The somewhat retro style of the place might please some vintage fans. There were two of us and we ordered a pizza and a second course: the pizza arrived with only some of the requested ingredients, while the second course, listed on the menu as "roasted suckling pig with roast sugo" (roasted pork with roast sugo), consisted of two thin slices of pork with an unidentifiable sauce drizzled with balsamic vinegar (it all seemed to have been reheated in the microwave). After asking about the missing ingredients on the pizza, they were brought to us on a separate plate just after the meal was over. Furthermore, despite there being two of us dining, the dishes were brought to us 15 minutes apart, as they had to be eaten "separately" to prevent them from getting cold. Unfortunately, we don't recommend it.

29/12/2025: We had dinner for two last night (December 28, 2025) after finding the restaurant featured in the Slow Food guide. We had a great time: a wide selection of traditional dishes, generous portions, and friendly service. In particular, after I mentioned that my girlfriend is lactose intolerant, the waitress immediately suggested two small changes to the appetizer selection. The only downsides were the volume of the music and the €3 cover charge per person, which seemed a bit steep, but overall, a very positive experience.
