30/06/2024: Burro Salato is an elegant restaurant, in the most 'correct' sense of the adjective: the menu items are gourmet but are not an exercise in style as an end in itself. The territory and tradition are present in the dishes, as is right in a very ancient city like Matera, but interpreted in a modern way. The proportions are not restaurant-like, but not molecular either. The hostess pampers you without being cloying. The environment is refined and welcoming. The wine list is extensive, the liqueurs and spirits are exceptional, the service is impeccable. An experience certainly worth repeating!

29/06/2024: Extremely welcoming, kind, patient, warm, and helpful staff. Their response via messages regarding the reservation is super quick and nice. The food, service, atmosphere, wine,...it were absolutely amazing from the start to the end, and I would definitely recommend it. We were 2 people ordering 1 appetizer, 2 main dishes, 2 desserts, 2 glasses of local wine, and a bottle of sparkling water for 87€. It's absolutely worth it!

10/06/2024: Excellent spot for gelato. Server recommended coffee, which as a coffee lover, was perfect. A good amount of bitterness. Balanced well with pistachio, which was so flavourful. Would go again in a heartbeat. Well priced at 2 scoops in a cut for 2.50 euro.

09/07/2024: I had read all the amazing reviews and was not disappointed we arrived early the lovely owner opened the shop and we chose from many delicious options spicy sausage with spinach pasta meatballs spicy artichoke etc a bottle of white wine !!! All home cooked absolutely mouth watering went home and ate on our roof top terrace

10/07/2024: What a wonderful restaurant on the edge of the Sassi, with a great view. Friendly service and good food. You can eat inside or on the small terrace. Make a reservation if you want to be sure of a nice spot on the terrace. Restaurant is highly recommended!

10/07/2024: The food was good but we wanted to have a table at edge(eith view) and the service guy told us that is for 3 persons. After 5 minutes that tables for 3 persons was ocupied by 2 persons and i feel discriminated. I think they have something with some kind of people. So take care when you reserve because they act like being racists.

The beauty of the room is matched by the professionalism and availability of its owners Nunzia and Giuseppe, the director Mino and all the staff and waiters. Attentive to the needs of individual guests and the spouses themselves. Precise, transparent, kind, capable of giving you unique emotions. High quality dishes and a menu capable of satisfying every single preference. I have been to many weddings in this room and the quality has always been very high and refined. We couldn't ask for anything better, a true corner of paradise. Getting married here is like feeling at home, in a family with the same warmth and magic. 30/06/2024: I don't know if they have the best pasta I've ever had, but if not, it's close. All dishes were delicious, including the panna cotta for dessert. Incredible!! Attentive and friendly attention, all cozy and spacious to enjoy a unique experience. Price, for the quality of the dishes, also very good. An absolute 10.

11/07/2024: Piatti gustosi e raffinati anche per i palati "fini" dei bambini. Bella location in pieno a centro a Matera e molto buono il servizio. Consigliato se visitate questa città.

30/06/2024: Un posticino in mezzo ai Sassi dove ci si sente a casa come quando si viene invitati a pranzo da familiari. Abbiamo preso ziti al forno, polpette al sugo e friggitelli e sembrava di mangiare dalla nonna: buonissimo, casareccio e abbondante con ingredienti a km0 che provengono dai terreni dei proprietari. Eè vero che cibi sono preparati prima e riscaldati prima di essere consumati ma il locale nasce come cantina (anzi, brunch bar) non certo come ristorante stellato.

08/07/2024: Excelente comida y atención. Un maravilloso restaurant en una cueva, esmerada atención de Giani, todas sus recomendaciones de platos y vinos fueron espectaculares. Volvimos a la noche siguiente, nos hicieron sentir como en casa. Felicitaciones.

16/06/2024: Beautiful setting, little tables outside but don’t be fooled. Inside many more tables. The most adorable waitresses, very attentive and a big plus for us was that they spoke English. I know we should know more phrases in Italian, our bad. The pasta I found too al dente for me but maybe that is how they cook it here. Lovely experience overall and highly recommend.

06/01/2024: Such friendly service. I got the best Moscow mule ever here. The menu sounds fantastic. Unfortunately we couldn't eat here because our chauffeur went to the campsite to pick us up again. Very unfortunate. The place is also very cozy and played cool music So a restaurant in Matera that I highly recommend grace
