23/03/2026: My friends and I went there 🥰. It's a lovely place, the owners are kind and professional, the food is good. I recommend the bruschetta 😍, all delicious, made with excellent local ingredients.
I recommend buying the peperone crusco, it's delicious!

The prices were very fair, especially considering the quality of the food and service. A must-visit if you're in Matera. Highly recommended!

07/06/2026: I wanted to rest after a long, tiring day. I chose Basilicata as the location. After searching online, I booked this property. From the photos, it looked like a perfect place for me and my family. A true discovery of colors, flavors, and kindness. There were also many animals, all cared for with care and love. Clean air, open spaces for children's play, and tables in the large garden. Mrs. Piera and her family were at our disposal, meeting all our needs. The breakfast was plentiful, and all the desserts were homemade. Dinner was also plentiful and delicious, and the white wine was excellent. Well done, 5 stars because I can't give them any more.

As soon as we arrived, the owner greeted us with a big smile and chatted with us for a while.
Needless to say, everyone was very kind.
Excellent food, from the appetizer to the cake... high-quality ingredients, fast service, and truly professional waiters!

I discovered this lovely place in Policoro and was pleasantly surprised by the food.
Both the presentation and the flavor combination were excellent.
I had the cacio e pepe with red shrimp, and the two flavors paired beautifully.
The dishes were also very generous in portions.
A lovely discovery.

Some forced orders.
05/08/2026: Il Poeta Contadino never ceases to amaze: in addition to quality pizza and meat, they've also started offering truly exquisite aperitivo. If you're looking for a quiet place to spend a pleasant afternoon, this is definitely a place I recommend. Kudos to you for the quality and atmosphere!

A special mention goes to the warm bread served with the olive oil, which was truly excellent, as well as the homemade tiramisu, which was truly memorable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat traditional Matera cuisine in a refined, modern, and elegant setting.
