10/03/2026: We chose Agriturismo Il Pago in Rotondella to celebrate our wedding, and we couldn't have made a better decision! It was truly a memorable day. The banquet was exceptional: the food was plentiful, and every dish was absolutely exquisite, a true triumph of authentic flavors. Special thanks go to the staff, who were impeccable, professional, and attentive to every need. To prolong the magic of the event, we also stayed at the property for two nights: the rooms were very comfortable, welcoming, and spotlessly clean. Waking up was made even sweeter by an exceptional breakfast: special thanks to Chef Salvatore, who delighted us every morning with a different cake, not to mention his fantastic homemade plain yogurt... a true delight! We'd like to emphasize that this place is a true paradise not only for events, but for any family day out. It's especially perfect for those with small children, thanks to the beautiful play areas and the many animals that delight the little ones. It's the ideal place for anyone to unwind and spend quality time immersed in nature. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Agriturismo Il Pago for making our day so special. Highly recommended! A very charming place among the Sassi... clean and quiet. The atmosphere is lovely. The young man who served us was courteous, kind, and friendly; it was a real pleasure dealing with him. We ordered a local appetizer, a plate of orecchiette, a sliced ​​meat, and a dessert. Everything was excellent and with attention to detail. Prices were completely reasonable. Service was prompt. Quick enough and welcoming. I recommend it and hope to return!

29/03/2026: Overall Impression We were welcomed into a restaurant with minimalist, elegant decor. There was no excessive background music. Everything was elegant and tidy, just like the location. An interesting detail: there's a place to hang your coats so you don't have to put them behind your chair. Menu The menu, like the decor, was minimalist, but with just the right amount of dishes. There was no confusion. Furthermore, the menu included a brief historical description of the restaurant (a great idea!) There were two of us and we ate two appetizers and two first courses, accompanied by a bottle of still water and two glasses of wine (white and rosé). Furthermore, instead of the usual bread basket, they served us a beautiful tasting plate consisting of four slices of local bread, two filled focaccias, and two breadsticks, all elegantly served. Final Impressions I'm not a culinary expert, but I still managed to notice the attention paid not only to the cuisine of the dishes, but also to their aesthetics. The waiter was very courteous and carefully described the dishes and recommended excellent wine pairings. 5 well-deserved stars. I recommend it to everyone!

02/02/2026: Spectacular welcome. Excellent food. I recommend the meat, which is exquisite. In the summer, it should be wonderful with outdoor seating. In the winter, it's cozy and tastefully decorated. The owner's father welcomed us with a smile on his face... perhaps because we were with a dear friend of his? But I don't think so... both he and his son are truly wonderful.

31/01/2026: From the outside, it doesn't look very appealing. It's a bit out of the way, to the point that if they hadn't suggested it to us, we probably wouldn't have even entered. For a moment, we wondered if it was really open and if we should open the door. And finally... fortunately we entered. Inside, the space is beautiful, warm and fits perfectly with Matera. They took us upstairs, where there were already customers, and from there everything went very smoothly. The boy who served us was friendly, relaxed, willing to explain without style, without rushing. The food was what you expect to eat here. Local cuisine, well-cooked, with flavor and substance. Nothing supposedly touristy. The wine was an excellent choice. It was called Akratos, a reference to ancient Greek tradition. The pure, undiluted wine that, according to the ancients, only Dionysus could drink. Strong, full, with character, and perfectly tied to the dishes. And the dessert came at the end simply and properly, without exaggeration, closing the meal beautifully. An experience that stays with you. We would go again without a second thought

The dishes, I'm speaking from what we ate, are all top-notch! The stuffed potatoes are a must-try, delicious! The sliced ​​entrecote, truly exceptional, I hadn't had one like that in a long time! The pizza, a simple margherita, a delight! A Sicilian cannoli, my taste buds truly exploded with joy, sublime! The draft beer was also excellent! Finally, considering the high quality of the products, I think the bill was average, maybe even below! But the quality of both dishes was exceptional. Not to mention the menu, which is simply heavenly, and which we hope to have other opportunities to try.
