11/10/2025: Que went there after MateraMi didn’t take us in because we didn’t have a reservation. This place DID NOT disappoint. The food was amazing and the service was great. We totally recommend it! If you are in Matera don’t miss this place!

10/10/2025: I tried it for a business dinner and was thrilled by the kindness and professionalism of the staff, the elegant atmosphere, and the exceptional traditional dishes, thanks in part to the fact that the owner personally makes the pasta, including these unforgettable berry taralli! 28/09/2025: The rock church is beautiful. The visit was excellently organized. But I will remember my stay at Casal Dragone first and foremost for meeting, over an excellent lunch, exceptional and kind people like the estate's owners and their friendly friends and collaborators. A heartfelt thank you, and see you soon.

03/11/2025: We stopped on for a glass of house wine 3.5 euro on Sunday night. Most places serve dinner after 7:30pm, and we had just finished a tour a 6:30, so we came in from the cold to warm up with wine. We sat in a corner cave and enjoyed the cute place. We will come back for a meal.

05/10/2025: As a couple, we loved it. The food (octopus, pork, etc.) was all delicious. The wine And the service, the staff were lovely. All in a super nice indoor setting. While it doesn't look like much from the outside, it doesn't look like much.

22/10/2025: A meticulously maintained setting in the heart of the Sassi di Matera. Authentic cuisine, with thoughtful reinterpretations that don't distort the essence of tradition. A top-notch wine list. And a special mention to all the staff, all extremely kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

21/10/2025: We spent a lovely weekend at Pago. The atmosphere is very rustic and decidedly clean, with locally sourced cuisine using top-quality ingredients. We had the opportunity to dine and have breakfast on the property, and what can I say? All the ingredients were excellent, with generous breakfasts featuring yogurt, fruit, nuts, jams, and homemade desserts. Dinner also included a selection of simple and elaborate dishes, all unique and delicious. We also visited their farm several times, where my daughter was entertained by many new animal friends. It's conveniently located between Nova Siri, Rotondella, and Policoro. Definitely an experience worth repeating and highly recommended.

18/10/2025: We felt like royalty at the Il Pago farmhouse. We met Piera by chance, and she immediately became a friend, extremely helpful and professional, humane, and a good adviser on what to do in the area. She was a welcome I've never experienced before. She's an animal lover, and she made us feel at ease right away. We let our little girl play with the farm animals, and we met so many wonderful people, not to mention her brother, who is a whiz in the kitchen. We were so lucky to meet them and will definitely be visiting them again and again. Highly recommended.

29/10/2025: The place is truly welcoming, the staff are very friendly, and the meat is obviously of high quality. The same goes for the typical Brazilian cocktails, which are very good and varied, with a wide selection of both fruit and spirits.

12/10/2025: Worst panna cotta of my life, and I’ve had a lot of panna cotta. I’ve also never been ignored for so long while sitting at the table. Left feeling incredibly dissatisfied despite a steak that was cooked perfectly.

12/10/2025: Don't be fooled by the number of reviews, like I was :) You don't have many options for food, I came specifically for the pasta. The place requires reservations, we went in without because there were only 2 of us, but it's not worth the wait or the disappointment of not having a seat. Overall, in my opinion it's a very overrated place. Popular doesn't mean good.

23/06/2025: Didn’t even try the food, I believe it’s good no doubt. But the atmosphere from the waiters, to be specific the tall skinny dude with glasses. That dude got mad because I lifted my hand when I called him, and asked him to come so I can ask him face to face something about the menu. He didn’t came even tho he looked at me, and crossed our table couple of times. No response, then the other waiter came a girl and was nice. But me and my girl didn’t like the emptiness inside and weird energy we got so we got up and left. Didn’t order anything, just looked at the menu for 10/15min inside. Then when we got up to leave. That dude, called up on me while we were leaving and said stuff like, where are you going, you looked at the menu outside, why did you even sit. Then when I started explaining myself with literally one sentence. He interrupted me and said why do you lift your hand when you call me. Bro like mind your business … then he started to be even louder and told me people are waiting outside to sit inside. Just to clarify the room we were inside had 4 more tables with nobody sitting, also other rooms with free tables. Outside the restaurant maybe 8/12 people were waiting, but they were waiting to sit outside… Id very much like that dude to mind his own business and act like a waiter who needs to sell the italian story and be polite. I hope the owner reeds this.

21/06/2025: It was the jazz music that drew us into this restaurant. And it was a great idea! The interior is cozy, with a few tables, and the staff is adorable. We can't even mention the menu. We LOVED IT! A truffle pasta dish—how can I put it? Delicious! One of the best Parmigiano cheeses we've ever eaten. That's saying something. Everything is refined, flavorful, and delicate. We finished with a deconstructed but incredible Canolo (Sicilian dessert). In short, a wonderful evening 😋

04/10/2025: The San Biagio Restaurant in Matera is a true gem. The elegant and welcoming atmosphere is enhanced by beautiful paintings themed around Matera, creating a unique atmosphere. The view of the Sassi from the outdoor area is simply breathtaking, perfect for an unforgettable dinner. The menu offers refined and delicious dishes. We started with exceptional appetizers: a fresh tuna and squid carpaccio, the typical and flavorful cruschi peppers, and artfully seared tuna on a delicate fava bean puree. For our first course, the risotto was a true delight: creamy, with saffron, shrimp, licorice, and a touch of caviar. Next, fish... the turbot with mashed potatoes was perfectly cooked, light, and flavorful. To round things off, we tried a mille-feuille with Chantilly cream and berries, a dessert that capped off this culinary experience perfectly. The service was incredibly fast, impeccable, and professional, always attentive and courteous. If you're looking for a place to eat well and enjoy a wonderful view of Matera, Ristorante San Biagio is the ideal choice.

03/10/2025: Wonderful! A friend who lives in the region recommended it to us, and we loved it. The food was delicious, the wines were good, and the service was excellent. The waiter who served us was super friendly and attentive. And he knows Cádiz very well! Haha, highly recommended! ☺️

08/09/2025: An ideal place for a quick meal without sacrificing quality, both in service and food. Professional and helpful staff, and a friendly and welcoming owner. The fried flowers with mozzarella and anchovies are delicious, while the spaghetti with mussels and green beans is flavorful and plentiful. If you're passing through or staying in Policoro, it's definitely a must-try.
