Inside the restaurant you immediately feel a magical, almost fairy-tale atmosphere, welcomed by the warmth and passion of the owners and all the waiters. The setting is extremely evocative, the environment is enveloping, familiar and with attention to the smallest details. To conclude this magnificent culinary experience, there is a strategic space used as a cinema where clips of films shot in Matera are played. The evening was flawless!

Restaurant in the historic center of Matera, the "Sassi" where you can taste excellent dishes typical of the city's culinary tradition, from the appetizer, through the first and second courses, to then get to the desserts, a dive into the flavors, the smells in the taste of good food, all prepared with care and dedication by the chef, Mrs. Paola with the help of Mrs. Rosa. There are various courses to choose from from the menu with the possibility of choosing dishes outside the menu, such as "baked ziti", a typical dish of Matera's festive days. It is a duty to thank all the kitchen staff, the dining room staff who, in addition to their professionalism, meticulously describe the dishes served to the guests. Thanks to the owners for their hospitality and advice to anyone who wants to taste the typical dishes of Matera, to go to "La Lopa".

We traveled with two little girls. We called half an hour before they closed in case they made room for us. The food is exquisite and the service exceptional. We are looking forward to returning without girls. Thank you La Lopa family!! And congratulations!!!

Enchanting, fascinating, evocative place. Antonella has created a perfect location furnished with extreme taste, enhancing the construction characteristics of the place. The cinema room is beautiful, the descent to get there is enchanting. Shall we talk about food? Top quality raw materials, homemade products, care in the service with explanations from a super Mimmo, good, competent and friendly. Unfortunately mine was a work lunch, fleeting and I regret it but the promise I made to myself is to go back in the evening and then experience the emotions of the city at night. I recommend this experience to everyone

Lovely place, high standard food and extraordinary staff.

This is a really interesting place and the food is delicious. It’s worth noting that the portion sizes are small. We loved the downstairs cinema and the service was fantastic.

Bellissimo ristorante fra i sassi di Matera dove non solo si cena con ottimi prodotti tipici (peperoni cruschi, formaggi, zuppa di cicerchie, dolci della tradizione, ecc) ma, dopo cena, è possibile vedere alcuni spezzoni di film ambientati a Matera nella sala cinema incassata fra i sassi. Il personale di sala è fantastico. Bellissima esperienza da ricordare. Bravi

Leckeres Essen und nettes Ambiente. Ich hatte die lokalen Nudeln mit Salzfisch, was ich noch nie gegessen hatte und was mir sehr gut geschmeckt hat.
