Everything was very good, even the service. The space is divided into two L-shaped rooms; the larger one is crowded, while the other is significantly better, except for the table near the internal door, which definitely needs to be eliminated. A bit overpriced, especially for wine: a glass costs €10-15...

We came from Mexico, arriving in Matera hungry and without a reservation (many places in Italy require one). We went in here and it was fantastic. Even though I come from the American continent where we eat a lot of meat, I can assure you that I ate the best meat of my life at this restaurant—so much so that I ordered seconds!

The food was absolutely delicious, authentic, and full of traditional regional flavors. The care and quality were evident in every dish, especially the pasta, which they make themselves by hand. The owner even gave us some pasta at the end of the meal, a gesture that made the experience even more special. We tried two tasting menus, and they also perfectly adapted other options for a celiac and a vegetarian, ensuring that everyone enjoyed the best of the local cuisine. The typical regional bread, olive oil, pasta, and wine were spectacular. The service was excellent, friendly, and unhurried, allowing us to enjoy the evening at a relaxed pace and feel truly well taken care of. A highly recommended restaurant for anyone wanting to discover the authentic gastronomy of Matera.

After a pleasant visit to the Sasso Caveoso, my school and I stopped at this restaurant. We were warmly welcomed by the owner in a refined, family-friendly atmosphere. Everything was delicious, highly recommended!

They took us quite late (2:30 pm) and for a restaurant chosen on the spur of the moment, it was very tasty, with many specialties on the menu including the famous lamb pie! I recommend it.
