02/11/2025: Exceptional, excellent service. The lady in the dining room was very helpful and welcoming, making you feel at home. The food was superb; we chose the six-course tasting menu, which guests can choose from, as long as they share the same dishes for the table. Each course lived up to expectations, even more. We also really appreciated that the homemade bread, which was delicious, was brought only with the main courses, so we didn't have to fill up first and could fully appreciate each course. The wine pairing was recommended by the lady who proved to be extremely knowledgeable. High-end dining with excellent value.

02/11/2025: After passing this restaurant for a long time, we decided to try it. It didn't disappoint: excellent cuisine with unconventional dishes, a good appetizer featuring local products, two excellent first courses, ricotta and walnut ravioli with grated black truffle, and tagliolini with black garlic, bottarga, and lemon zest. For the second course, grilled lamb, but what surprised us with its flavor was the scamorza cheese with pears, hazelnuts, and honey, truly delicious. For the side dish, Roman-style artichokes. We finished with two coffees and a homemade gentian. Don't be like me and wait too long; if you're in the area, I highly recommend it!

11/11/2025: An institution in Magliano de' Marsi! For over 40 years, we've been going there for their excellent pastries (the classic ones with cream or chocolate are fantastic!), delicious coffee, and everything else. Try it and believe it!

14/10/2025: We were able to eat lunch there... everything was excellent! We stayed there for one night in a van. Very good location with a shower available (hot water is available for a fee). Very pleasant staff. I recommend it (20 euros per night with water and electricity in October).

Nestled in the greenery at the foot of Mount Velino, it exudes a sense of peace and tranquility that permeated us throughout our lunch on the terrace. So we decided to celebrate our son's baptism here. Giusy was incredibly kind and helpful, helping us choose dishes and arranging the tables; she catered to our every need! We had the dining room with an adjoining garden all to ourselves. The food was excellent and the portions generous. We made a great impression on our guests, who complimented us on both the setting and the food. Furthermore, the young woman who served us was delightful, always attentive and quick to ensure we were well-stocked. Finally, the price of the menu per person was fair for what we ate and the quality of the ingredients. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much, and see you soon!!

16/10/2025: Such a nice authentic experience! Perfect service, kind people overall. Maurizio, the pizzaiolo, was very kind and even played the accordion for us! The food was great and the local wine was excellent. 100% recommend.

Had a lovely conversation over fantastic food and great wine and even got a private concerto on the accordion by Maurizio himself! Couldn’t recommend more! A must visit to anyone in Capistrello! Only got to take a photo of the antipasto because we devoured everything else right away!

08/11/2025: I had lunch with a group of friends and we had a wonderful meal. Disclaimer: as a vegan, it's not easy to find places like this in Abruzzo. The appetizers and side dishes were delicious, and there were several legume-based entrees. Even my omnivorous friends had a wonderful meal. The desserts were all delicious (unfortunately, none were vegan).

02/11/2025: I went for lunch yesterday with my husband and in-laws. The restaurant is located just a few minutes from Santo Stefano di Sessannio, an ancient village worth visiting. It's small but very welcoming. From the stove that pleasantly warms the room, to the friendly staff who greet you with a smile as soon as you enter. The menu is seasonal to ensure the use of fresh, local ingredients. The dishes were truly delicious! Flavorful legume soup and gnocchi, a triumph for pumpkin lovers. For our main course, we had grilled lamb with sautéed vegetables and baked potatoes, all delicious, and an unexpected treat: fried tripe accompanied by a mayonnaise-based sauce. The dessert, however, was what took us back to childhood: a chocolate bread (soft and light) with butter and jam to spread on top. The price, in my opinion, is more than fair. In conclusion, if I had to associate one word with this place, it would be "family": the location and the dishes I ate took me back to when, as a child, I would go to mountain restaurants with my relatives, eating, drinking, and feeling welcomed and pampered by the staff. I will definitely be back to bring my parents.

06/12/2025: A very interesting trattoria-restaurant serving local and traditional cuisine. The pasta e fagioli (pasta with beans) and the cacio e ova (cacio e ova balls) are excellent, and the pizza is also worth a try. The dishes are flavorful and a little above average. The prices are very reasonable. The staff are very courteous, attentive, and always smiling.

03/10/2025: We spent two evenings in Scanno and two dinners at Caminetto because, having had such a great time, we thought: why change? The food was tasty and authentic, making us feel like we were at home, thanks in part to the friendly service and the delightful conversation with the owners. The Montepulciano was excellent, and I especially loved the cacio e ova (cacio e ova) and their traditional gnocchi with turnip tops... we had them both evenings! Well done!

02/11/2025: Never again! Cold place, we waited hours for our dishes while they served us others from other tables and as we were leaving, after more than 2 hours they told us that the last dishes were coming out and they came out after another half an hour and wrong!

31/10/2025: It's easy to review a restaurant like this: an elegant location in the heart of Tagliacozzo, a simple menu, and delicious dishes. The service was prompt and friendly (we happened upon it on an August evening during a festival, so we expected a few inconveniences, which, however, were not the case). Even the bill, which we feared might be a bit high, was absolutely average (in fact, given the quality of the service and location, perhaps even a bit lower than average). The experience was truly enjoyable, and I can only recommend it.

10/11/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance and were pleasantly surprised by the truly delicious and authentic food, the excellent service, and the equally authentic atmosphere. I recommend the fried meatballs, as the frying oil is excellent—not truck-fresh, used for weeks (as often happens)—and the wild, delicious sautéed chicory. The bruschetta is also excellent. They were also courteous with our Golden Nebbia 🐶 Thanks for everything, and see you next time.

01/11/2025: Everything was excellent... The staff were wonderful... very good
