We spent eight days of serenity, excellent food, laughter, peace, and kindness, which are certainly not to be taken for granted! The people who work at this hotel/restaurant truly put their heart into it, caring for and nourishing both body and soul. The rooms are always spotlessly clean, the staff are always available, and the dinners are excellent, featuring truly exceptional local products, all homemade! The pizza is a MUST TRY! The hotel is very close to places like Rocca Calascio and Campo Imperatore, and several beautiful nature trails start nearby. The hotel also welcomes pilgrims on the Gran Sasso Trail, offering overnight tent accommodations and a secure, covered bicycle storage area with charging included. Covered motorcycle parking is also available. The hotel features a spa, an indoor bar, a spacious breakfast room, a large restaurant/pizzeria, terraces practically everywhere, a large private parking lot nearby, and a regional bus stop (TUA) nearby. Furthermore, the hotel, which enjoys a pleasant view of the hill opposite, is just a stone's throw from the village. A 10-minute walk takes you to the center of Castel Del Monte, which is truly beautiful! So you can enjoy the serenity of being "out of town," just a short distance from the town center. In short, convenient for amenities, central to places to visit, fantastic food, excellent staff... The question we're asking ourselves is: when will we be back? We'll definitely be back soon! 15/07/2026: Great place, quiet, I don't give 5 stars for some reasons, I was in a "pigeon loft" and in the room as far as I'm concerned I found two "flaws" 1 the shower box which for my size is too small and 2 the balcony not clean for the rest for me it's ok

03/05/2026: The Duca degli Abruzzi deserves 10 stars, but it's a shame they can only give it 5! Everything was perfect: spectacular welcome, very nice rooms. For those traveling with little luggage, even the attic rooms like ours are more than adequate. The real highlight, however, was the breakfast: as you can see from the photos, it was simply exceptional. A perfect start to celebrating my 🎂 birthday 😜 Highly recommended 🔝😍

01/03/2026: We stayed here for 3 days with my daughter Giulia and my partner. We had a wonderful time. The room was super comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and varied, the hotel was very central, and the owners were very kind. My daughter couldn't wait to come down for breakfast every morning. 11/07/2026: The location is ideal for a snack just a stone's throw from the Carsoli highway toll booth. The service is friendly and helpful. The meat selection is good, with cuts cooked over a wood-fired grill. The interior is rustic, with many details reminiscent of Abruzzo.

14/07/2026: Great place to enjoy local craft beers of different kind for reasonable price. Food was tasty, we tried pinse with mushrooms and salsiccia. Staff is friendly and helpful. Over the weekend the square can be crowded, then it can be hard to find a table outside.

06/06/2026: The beers are my favorite among the various breweries in L'Aquila. The pinza is good, as is the hamburger. You can have dinner as well as drink one of the many beers available.

11/07/2026: We arrived in Pescocostanzo eager to have lunch at this restaurant, given the good reviews. Unfortunately, it was already 2:20 PM, but they welcomed us warmly, as they did with other customers who arrived much later. The lady who runs the place gave us excellent advice: after offering us bruschetta with radicchio and melted cheese, we ordered two first courses. The ravioli with ricotta, gorgonzola, and pears were delicious, as were the tagliolini with cacio e pepe and truffle. Delicious! Then, to finish, we ordered dessert: a tiramisu and a tart with cream and peaches. Everything was delicious again. You definitely need to book, but we were lucky to find a table. The village of Pescocostanzo also surprised us with its characteristic beauty!
