We arrived in Pescocostanzo eager to have lunch at this restaurant, given the good reviews. Unfortunately, it was already 2:20 PM, but they welcomed us warmly, as they did with other customers who arrived much later. The lady who runs the place gave us excellent advice: after offering us bruschetta with radicchio and melted cheese, we ordered two first courses. The ravioli with ricotta, gorgonzola, and pears were delicious, as were the tagliolini with cacio e pepe and truffle. Delicious! Then, to finish, we ordered dessert: a tiramisu and a tart with cream and peaches. Everything was delicious again.
You definitely need to book, but we were lucky to find a table. The village of Pescocostanzo also surprised us with its characteristic beauty!

We were greeted by the owner with a smile and great kindness. The restaurant is nestled in the historic center and remains in its original state, creating a unique atmosphere. The food is meticulously prepared: good quality and beautifully presented. The wine, even if available in bulk, is of excellent quality. We will definitely return to taste authentic Maremma products.

A typical restaurant with a warm welcome from the very friendly owner.
The food is all very good, especially the fresh pasta, all made to order. However, the prices are high in our opinion for first courses (taglierini with cacio e tartufo, practically without truffle, for €20).

Ristorante da Paolino in Pescocostanzo is one of the most delightful gastronomic surprises in inland Abruzzo. The cuisine is authentic and genuine, featuring traditional mountain dishes prepared with top-quality local ingredients: homemade pasta, flavorful roasts, and local cheeses and cured meats. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a typically Abruzzese welcome that immediately puts you at ease. The service is attentive and friendly. A complete gastronomic experience to combine with a visit to the beautiful village of Pescocostanzo.

Everything was superb, from the food, to the service, and the welcoming atmosphere! Everything is worth trying, from the starters to the desserts. The half-portion option for starters is a great idea, giving you the chance to try more! I highly recommend them.

Everything was excellent, the atmosphere was familiar yet elegant. Reservations are essential, and even a few days in advance.

Our dinner at Da Paolino was excellent: Roberto and the owner's welcome was warm and genuine. They knew how to recommend something based on your preferences and pampered you with sweets and artisanal liqueurs at the end of the meal. The polenta appetizer was delicious, though very rich, as were the pork shank and the chitarra pasta with chestnuts. My son's taccozze with butter and parmesan were also delicious, very creamy. Overall, the fresh pasta was excellent. The village was deserted but very charming. It's worth stopping for a glass of local red wine and then definitely heading over for dinner. They also accept walk-ins, but availability is always limited, so it's best to book well in advance. Thank you for the wonderful experience! We'll definitely be back :)
