30/03/2024: Very welcoming atmosphere and excellent cuisine. Often coming from Rome to Abruzzo we stop here in the evening for a stop in the pizzeria. It has become a very pleasant stop because here at Casale the pizza (but not only) is truly excellent. The environment, recently renovated, is pleasant and very welcoming, well furnished and heated in the cold months. The staff we have known for many years are very kind and friendly. It is recommended

25/03/2024: During a trip to the village of Aielli, (known for the murals and works created by some famous or less famous street artists), we decide to have lunch at the "Il Casale" restaurant. Located approximately 1.5 km from the center of Aielli. Surrounded by greenery, there is this ancient farmhouse. Easy to reach. It's impossible not to have it, because it's a very bright red colour. The facility is very large and well maintained. Large car park adjacent to the structure. An outdoor garden. It's clear that the owners care. It is also used as a room for various occasions such as weddings etc. At the entrance we are welcomed by one of the 3 owners (the restaurant is family-run and run by 3 brothers) who, with a big smile, makes us sit in one of the rooms. The rooms are well cared for, few objects cover the walls. Some are very old. but positioned in the right place. The second brother approaches the table and, after having ascertained the various allergies and intolerances, takes the orders, carefully describing the dishes to us. - Homemade appetizer (cheeses, cured meats and vegetables. All zero km). - The first: Trofie asparagus and lemon. The trofie are al dente, covered with fine asparagus and a cream probably made with an asparagus smoothie and a touch of lemon which creates a wonderful combination. Ravioli with walnut cream....... without words, to taste, savor, smell and enjoy. Even if someone says that "it's not polite".... to do the slipper, it is a must to clean up the dishes and finish the delicious cream that surrounds them. - Seconds: Local sausage with vegetable side dish. The meat, cooked just right, not too spicy, soft and really good. The vegetables tasted like freshly picked vegetables and not plastic or derivatives, as often happens when bought at the supermarket. - The wine A red. Collefrisio Cellars - Appassimento. Grapes 60% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, 20% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot. Harvest / Second ten days of October for Montepulciano and Sangiovese, second ten days of September for Merlot. Ruby red color with light violet reflections. On the nose, dog rose and wild violet, fruity with red fruit in alcohol and ripe plum, a light hint of spices. Complex wine, with excellent structure, soft and enveloping. Persistent on the palate. - The coffee: (Usually in restaurants, coffee is a big risk, for those looking for a real coffee, creamy, that is not burnt or watered down, that coffee that tastes great and leaves the cup stained just right) We are also in this We were satisfied because the coffee was really good. Finally we stopped to have a chat with the owners. Lino, Enzo and Gianni, who told us about the passion that their father, who returned from Canada, had in opening this place about 40 years ago. Today they are the ones who carry on this tradition, with so much passion and dedication. The products are from local or zero km producers, and you can feel it. The farmhouse is not only a restaurant, but also a pizzeria and I hope to be able to return soon to try that too. Finally, one of them suggested some other hidden corners of Aielli to visit and admire. Then we discovered that one of them is the artist who created the work "the arch of books", at least that's what we wanted to call it. A staircase inside an arch, where the roof is covered with books, fixed to the ceiling with rivets for the installation of the plasterboard. 30/01/2024: There is no point in trying to explain the wonderful environment you find when you enter this bar, with the owner Simona and all the collaborators. Possibility of having lunch with fresh, good quality dishes, honest prices, availability of everyone towards those who, unable to leave their workplace, call for home delivery. Highly recommended, especially in the morning with a vast variation of croissants, cakes and biscuits.

01/04/2024: My favorite pub despite the publican's football faith. Delicious pizza and excellent craft beers, even the kebabs are above average. Typical football pub atmosphere, with all matches broadcast live.

27/03/2024: Happened by chance one evening after my husband took the wrong road returning from Rome to Terni...at first I didn't take it well but eating in this restaurant made me change my mind and it was absolutely worth it otherwise I would never have eaten meat better! Congratulations and we will absolutely return and a special thanks to Pamela who hosted us with such kindness!

26/02/2024: Absolutely worth going back to. Excellent roasts like everything else. I recommend the walk to the waterfalls, not even 10 minutes on foot and you find yourself immersed in nature. Tagliacozzo in the love.

03/04/2024: Excellent inn in the center of the village. The place has tables only inside. It is advisable to book, especially during the busiest periods (Christmas and summer). The crumbled artichoke is exceptional, as is the meat. The staff is courteous and helpful

10/03/2024: "Non posso che elogiare l'esperienza straordinaria che ho avuto al ristorante i tre frati a Pescocostanzo . Dal momento in cui ho varcato la soglia, sono stato accolto con un servizio impeccabile e un'atmosfera super accogliente. Il menu ricco di prelibatezze, primi atomici, prendere le chitarre al tartufo un sapore unico, mi ha deliziato con sapori intensi e piatti perfettamente preparati. Ogni boccone era un'esplosione di gusto e la presentazione dei piatti era impeccabile. Il personale super cortese e attento ha reso il mio pranzo ancora più piacevole. Consiglio vivamente questo ristorante a tutti gli amanti della buona forchetta, è un'esperienza che non deluderà le aspettative."

06/04/2024: We ate bruschetta other than the classic ones, made really well and with a lot of imagination. Super roasts both from sheep in the larger format and from Angus. The desserts are also very good. Normal price for a place that offers the quality of the product.

29/02/2024: Super friendly staff! We were welcomed and seated even though we hadn't booked. Welcome scone. We ordered a first course with mushrooms and one with spectacular venison ragout, including a tasting of a first course with delicious pistachio cream and bacon! For the second course, a portion of sausages. Portions more than right and a magical place!

25/02/2024: ABSURD PRICES, NO MENU, LITTLE CHOICE...We ate what they wanted because the menu wasn't there and they only had two choices of first courses. 2 people: 2 first courses, 1 lamb, 1 scamorzina, 1 side dish, 1 water (first courses not very desired but there was no choice) TOTAL €78 without receipt!

29/02/2024: Si stava abbastanza bene. Il locale semplice, poco originale, senza carattere, togli i tavoli e fai una palestra. Niente di elegante o romantico. Semplice ma pulito. Il cibo comunque è buono. Servizio veloce, disponibile e gentile. Qualità prezzo = BUONA. Peccato davvero per il locale senz’anima. Si potrebbe attirare e guadagnare. Si vede che per il proprietario o la proprietaria va bene così. Chi si accontenta gode. Ci tornerei? Forse si… se se vorrei fare una bella figura con gli amici forse andrei altrove. Ripeto… peccato!!!!
