Arriving in Fontecchio on our Celestine journey, we ate at this restaurant. The staff was very friendly; they were closing and gave us a chance to eat. Authentic dishes, from the first to the second course, generous portions and well-cooked. Excellent value. There were three of us: A plate of pecorino cheese, A portion of gnocchi with meat sauce, Two grilled chicken breasts, A plate of grilled vegetables and a plate of fries, and finally two amari. Water and house wine. Total bill €40. Highly recommended!

Everything was excellent: homemade food, very good, generous portions, excellent house wine. The place is clean, the service was punctual and attentive, despite being full for May 1st. I have to be honest, I didn't have high expectations, but it was actually a very pleasant discovery; we'll definitely be back. Finally, the bill was very fair.

We were on vacation and found this place almost by accident. A place from another era, with excellent food and a friendly welcome. The typical Abruzzo dishes are delicious, and the bill is fair. Let's hope it stays that way.

A great discovery: authentic cuisine and a warm welcome! We visited this restaurant with a group. The dishes have that authentic, home-cooked flavor you always look for: from the pasta dishes to the meat, every course was a perfect match. Despite our large group, the service was surprisingly fast. The staff was friendly, approachable, and always attentive to our every need. All this topped off with excellent value for money. An ideal destination for groups and those who love good food. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

14/05/2026: Absolutely one of the best restaurants we tried during our stay in L'Aquila. Starting with the restaurant itself, it goes without saying that it's exquisite and carefully decorated. The owner is fantastic: knowledgeable, kind, and you can tell he loves his job. He puts so much passion into serving you. The dishes: each one better than the last, because in addition to being traditional, they feature top-quality, local ingredients, something you don't always find in small, village restaurants. Another positive note: the owner explains the origins of the products used in the kitchen and takes you on a culinary tour of the Abruzzo mountains. We recommend it to anyone who wants a real experience, beyond just a meal. WE WILL RETURN!!!

27/06/2026: My wife and I had a lovely time here, even though there was a slight language barrier, google translate made the ordering food and engaging in a little conversation, quite easy. The food was gorgeous, the atmosphere and location perfect. Thank you to the ladies at La Sbarra.
