I had the pleasure of lunch at this little restaurant in the center of Castel di Sangro. The atmosphere is small but comfortable, well-decorated, and the staff is friendly, kind, and very helpful. Dishes off the menu are also available, and I took advantage of the opportunity to try the spaghetti alla chitarra with truffle. The complete house antipasto, generous with cured meats, fried foods, and cheeses, is meant for two people, but we ate it for four. The cheese and egg balls were a little rubbery, but I think that's a common characteristic of the local dish. The gnocchi with ragù were very good!! The pasta with Orapi and sausage was good, but the pasta was quite overcooked. The spaghetti alla chitarra with truffle was good, but the "umami" flavor from the glutamate in the broth took over... I didn't give it 5 stars for the reasons of the two first courses described above, but La Rimessa is a good choice for lunch or dinner, sampling their typical dishes.

Small but well-kept restaurant. They were full and asked us to wait, and luckily we did. The girls in the dining room were very kind, welcoming, and professional. We ordered a house platter, which to say the least is lavish. Followed by tartare, fillet, and tbone of the highest quality. Dessert and coffee served with a tozzetto on the side. Excellent value for money... we'd go there every day. Thank you, and we hope you continue like this in the future.

We truly enjoyed this restaurant. Prices are fair, perhaps even lower than the local average (the "locale" meaning Sangro, Roccaraso, and the surrounding area). The food is well-prepared, entirely artisanal. The service is courteous and attentive, and the food was delivered in perfect time. Finally, something I'm getting used to, they gave us a slight discount on the bill to make ends meet. Small things, big impact on the customer. If I were in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to choose where to eat.
