La Montanara Ristoro In Calascio

It's been a long time since I've been to a restaurant like this. The atmosphere is very pleasant and clean. The food is truly excellent, but what really stands out is the owner's passion for what he does. Last (but not least!) note: during the evening, the owner's father started playing the piano. It was all truly perfect. Unfortunately, I don't live very close, but I'll definitely make sure to visit again. THANK YOU!

The restaurant has only a few tables, but it's delicious and spotlessly clean. Excellent food and impeccable service. And our compliments to the owner's father, who treated us to a delightful piano performance during our meal. Well done. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent food, welcoming atmosphere, the owner (or at least I think so) who plays the piano... Everything was wonderful!

Arriving in Calascio for a weekend, we had lunch at this small and cozy restaurant. We were truly impressed. The dishes were excellent, from the organic cured meats to the cheeses, simply delicious, not to mention the lasagna with sausage and saffron... sublime! A delicious glass of red accompanied everything, and to finish, we had zabaglione with crumble, chocolate cake, and two coffees. Impeccable service and very kind staff. Excellent value for money. I recommend it!

A delightful discovery. We went for dinner at a lovely restaurant overlooking Calascio. It's family-run with very welcoming staff. We really appreciated the owner's explanations about the dishes we chose. The prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended!

Yesterday for lunch, we had the pleasure of discovering La Montanara, a family-run restaurant that won us over immediately. We were warmly welcomed by Luigi, the owner, who truly made us feel at home. The atmosphere was made even more special by the presence of Luigi's father, a wonderful person, who provided us with a touching experience by playing the piano live. A unique and refined touch that made the experience even more memorable. We enjoyed simply delicious tagliolini with truffle: fragrant, perfectly creamed, and prepared with top-quality ingredients. A dish that alone is worth the visit. We left with a smile, a light heart, and the certainty that we will definitely return. Congratulations to all the staff for the passion and attention they put into what they do.

This is 5 stars all the way. Absolutely fabulous place, great food, unique views of Calasico. You are made feel part of the family as soon as you walk in. The food is probably some of the best food I have eaten in Abruzzo. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
