15/07/2024: Five stars are not enough: This is the best place for vegetarian food in/around Verona! I enjoy my time in Agiturismo Dongili whenever I’m in the area… The place itself, an old villa on a wine hill, is unique. The vegetarian menu is always a delicious experience. Even for those, who are not vegetarian - it is incredible what the chef, Gianluca, can create out of “only” vegetables. (Make sure to save space for the sweets!) And definitely have a drink in the Chiringuito, downside, right at the entrance gate of the property. This is a really refreshing place, especially in the hot summer nights.

05/07/2024: La recensione è per il chiringuito appena sotto al listorante, ai piedi del castello, in location suggestiva, tra le vigne e piante in genere. Un apericena d'estate con 3 panzerotti fritti e un'ottima fetta di torta salata con caponata, due buone birre, spesi 24 euro. Non metto 4 pallini perché l'uso dei bicchieri, davvero eccessivo, di plastica va evitato.

09/08/2024: ho consigliato ad amici di fare una serata in questo stupendo posto e siamo stati tutti contenti, Orietta e i camerieri simpaticissimi e disponibilissimi, ottimi taglieri, ripasso favoloso , focacce superlative tutto molto buono in una location molto famigliare e suggestiva, la consiglio a tutti

15/08/2024: We ate pizza in the evening. The pizza was very very tasty. One of the best we've had in Italy so far. You can easily recommend them. The service was a bit slow and inattentive. Overall, the food was very good and the price was reasonable.

14/08/2024: I stopped by to eat alone the day before Ferragosto. The restaurant was full. I had a mixed fry and a glass of Lugana. Good food! Fast times and helpful waiters. A nice restaurant with a lot of attention to detail! ADVISED

01/09/2024: Absolutely not. We got a spot/parked relatively quickly. You almost had to insist on a simple drink order. I'll say straight away that in the 45 minutes that followed, we weren't asked what drink we wanted once. The glasses stood empty on the table for a long time. The starter, melon with ham, was a long time coming. For 14 euros 3 balls of melon with ham and wilted lettuce leaves and dried orange slices as decoration. The food was also ordered along with the drink order. We felt uneasy for the first time when almost all the guests around us had already received their food. After 45 minutes our pasta (quite simple for any kitchen) still wasn't there. We asked for the bill and paid for everything except the noodles. We received a small apology -> yes, there's a lot going on today..... and many of the tables have already been re-set. A shop like this doesn't deserve to serve such a beautiful location. Do yourself a favor, go two meters further into Tropical. That all fits.

31/08/2024: Risotto ai frutti di mare molto buono e ricco di pesce ben lavorato. Servizio molto attento e piacevole. Veranda ben ventilata e ombreggiata, nonostante il caldo torrido.

04/02/2024: Siamo stati a pranzo invogliati dalle belle recensioni viste nel web Devo dire che le aspettative sono state ampiamente soddisfatte. Qualita delle materie prime sapientemente trasformate dallo chef. Cortesia e professionalità del servizio hanno fatto il resto . Una menzione speciale per il dessert… Torta delle rose tiepida con zabaione veramente buonissima…

09/07/2024: Top service, drove by without an appointment because one of my car's headlights was broken. Immediate repairs were made and the water and oil levels were checked without prompting. Very friendly and competent! Recommended without reservation!

06/07/2024: Small bakery with very fine bread products. Price/performance ratio is perfect. We always bought our breakfast rolls there when we stayed in a holiday apartment in Bardolino.

25/07/2024: Certainly can say that the BEST pizza I have tried, was at Pizzeria Bixio 194 in Villafranca di Verona. We were on our way to visit the Garda Lake and passed by this lovely place for a pizza bite. It is really nice that they have pizza at slice and you can try different pizza types. We were welcomed by the lady that works there, Irina, such a lovely service she provided, smiling and her recommendations in terms of pizza were WOW. It was our second day in Italy and the previous day we tried some pizza in Verona, but this one here at Bixio was something different! And the prices are so affordable, we were surprised! 🙂 We will definitely return there and highly recommend to everyone, it’s a MUST! Thank you Irina!♥️🍕

22/08/2024: Let's start with the end, the tiramisu is excellent. The tortelli with truffle and the one with ricotta spinach were also very tasty. The antipasti are an absolute must, really really good. We had a bottle of Custoza with our meal, which was also good. The waitress, the owner's niece, is quick, friendly and very accommodating and speaks English very well. A really good place outside of the hustle and bustle.

29/06/2024: It has been a disappointing experience unfortunately. The Antipasto Misto was excellent. We were undecided on what to choose as a main course. When asked, the waiter indicated that the steak would be a thick one, which suggests it to be a decent beef fillet. However it turned out not to be a beef fillet but some kind of scotch fillet. We asked them to be medium rare. One was medium and the other welldone. We've asked to have this corrected and we received a rare steak which was not of great quality. The potatoes had clearly been in the microwave as well as the spinach. The tiramisu dessert was not that great either. It was a bit bland. The waiter was in a constant hurry and didn't take the time to listen properly, forgot to bring steak knives and a few more mishaps. The garden setting was quite nice though. We might just have been unlucky because the other reviews are quite good. But we won't be coming back.

17/08/2024: Cozy restaurant with polite and helpful staff (the owner is very nice!) Malga gnocchi (or gnocchi sbatui!) absolutely the best in Lessinia. Advised!

29/08/2024: Courtesy and friendliness, the dishes satisfied us and the pizzas are also excellent. Close to the lake and convenient to the beach, it has some parking spaces for cars/motorcycles. Advised

25/08/2024: Unfortunately, my Pizza Vegetariana was a mess. No tomato sauce (maybe it was on the menu, but I missed it), raw vegetables were carelessly thrown on top, which made it taste bland, no aubergine on it like it says on the menu, tons of cheese so that after 2 pieces of pizza you were already full. Other pizzas/dishes around me looked good/better. It could be that I was just unlucky with my choice. My partner's pizza was better, but not amazing either. Service was quick and competent. Prices were good. Wouldn't go again.
