Despite the crowds due to Easter, we were welcomed without a reservation, without difficulty and without waiting. Excellent and abundant dishes, served with care. Compliments !!!!

The place is charming, as is the staff. Good service, exquisite treatment and good food at reasonable prices.

The Borghetto was beautiful, the dish with the 6 types of tortellini was delicious. The lasagna was also very good. Very good chicken. Excellent tiramisu. Excellent Bardolino wine. Courteous staff.

We went for lunch on Monday, really good food and perfect service. Then eating with this view is even more beautiful. Very recommended restaurant for those visiting the village. Definitely worth returning.

Location, raw materials, cuisine and service equal to expectations. I come from Milan, but when I pass by, I also extend the journey and always stop in this bomboniera (the valeggio hamlet). Come on guys and congratulations.

This restaurant is worthy of many praises and, unfortunately, has one big drawback that has not been corrected for years. Let's start with the good. The best location in Borghetto, wonderful scenic view, tables available right on the river bank. Great! The quality and quantity of dishes is also very pleasing. I would, of course, recommend tortelli with truffle and veal cheeks in wine. The rest is also very tasty. But! The service will remain at an extremely low level over the years. After the appetizers, we waited for primi piatti for almost an hour (cook a dozen ravioli?). The waiters always forget to bring the required number of cutlery. Meals are often served in groups at different times. Today they brought me a broken plate - disrespect for the guests. I always see different faces of the waiters there. Why don't people stay there?

Sono stato in questo ristorante molto carino in domenica di fine gennaio, a pranzo. Il posto è sito davanti al ponte che porta nel centro del Borghetto, con molti posti auto vicini. Abbiamo mangiato tortelli al radicchio rosso di Verona con gorgonzola e noci, tortelli al tartufo, polenta e salame, e luccio con polenta. Tutto buono, ma menziono in particolare il luccio, che è stato un qualcosa di meraviglioso. In aggiunta, due calici di vino Custoza e caffè per tutti (tot circa 120€). Personale molto gentile e veloce. Che dire, stra consigliato.

Ho visitato La Vecchia Bottega per il Cenone di San Silvestro 2023. Il menu proposto (io ho scelto quello a base di carne, ma ne era presente uno anche a base di pesce di mare) era molto allettante. Ogni piatto figurava accompagnato da un calice, come nelle migliori cene di degustazione, e le mie aspettative erano alte. Il prezzo proposto era super onesto, addirittura modesto rispetto a quanto offerto. La realtà che mi sono trovato davanti ha superato ogni aspettativa. Qualità dei cibi eccelsa; una cena dove faceva da padrona la cucina locale (finalmente un Capodanno dove il ristoratore non tradisce le proprie radici), con portate generose e molto ben presentate. Continui cambi di bicchieri e posate. Vini proposti ottimi, con qualche eccellenza. Personale, dal più esperto al più giovane, attento e gentilissimo. Ambiente all'apparenza piccolo, ma capace di accogliere molti ospiti in diverse sale che si snodano all'interno. Un locale da rivisitare anche durante l'anno per provare tutte le proposte normalmente in menù. Ovviamente il tutto nella splendida cornice di Borghetto sul Mincio, in posizione strategica.
