27/06/2026: This restaurant is highly recommended. The region is naturally over-touristic, and in many restaurants, you notice this negatively in the quality of the food and service. Not here. This is truly still a place where you feel welcome, where you can eat well, and where the service is good. We are satisfied customers and will return.

01/08/2026: We dined at Osteria Puntara tonight. Chosen by my love, based on the 4.7 rating on Google Reviews, but of course also after a thorough inspection of the menu. It is well-organized, by the way. But as is so often the case: that also means better. Because what a wonderful evening we had. Three courses of honest, original, and fresh Italian food. From primi to dolci, everything was equally delicious. As was the smooth and simple white wine (Traminer) from the region, which held its own proudly with all the dishes. We ate a very original and super tasty spaghetti with a sauce of anchovies, breadcrumbs, raisins, and even more tasty ingredients, and a delicious caprese as a starter, followed by butter-soft beef stew with a red wine jus and a tender ribeye as the main course. For dessert, we shared a crème brûlée that was much tastier than in an average French restaurant, and a panna cotta with apricot sauce and fresh peach. And as delicious as the food was, the welcome was just as friendly, attentive, and hospitable. We could tell from everything that this business is run with love. The hosts of Puntara gave us a fantastic end to our visit to charming Verona. Grazie mille e vediamo!

15/05/2026: We've been talking to the owner, and it's true, the tortellini are handmade every day!! They're incredibly good; the tasting platter with lots of different kinds is highly recommended. The grilled meats are also excellent, and the desserts are just as good. The staff is super friendly, and everything is spotless. And they offer takeout!

06/07/2026: Even for people who don't eat seafood! First of all, we hadn't made a reservation, which wasn't a problem for the four of us. The mussels were delicious, and the advice and service were excellent! (Also in German!) The server immediately explained that all dishes could be served without mussels, as she had noticed that someone in our group didn't eat seafood. They also have real potato gnocchi!

There is a bathroom dedicated to people with disabilities, spacious and easily accessible even with a wheelchair. The presence of a baby-changing area is also much appreciated. 🤝 Service Kind, professional, and always smiling. It's a real pleasure to feel pampered and chat with the staff, who are knowledgeable and know how to best advise customers. Their suggestions rarely disappoint. The most special is Celestino, having waiters like him. 🍽️ Food Excellent quality. The house specialty is mussels, offered in dozens of variations, each one better than the last. It's definitely worth experimenting and trying different options. A tip? The slightly spicy mussels all'amatriciana: truly exceptional! The seafood spaghetti is also excellent, well-prepared and full of flavor. 💶 Price We spent €105 for three plates of mussels, two seafood spaghetti, three waters, a Coke, a Spritz, and a coffee. It's certainly not cheap, but the price is in line with the quality of the food, the service, and the location. A few euros less would have been perfect. ⭐ Conclusion Overall, this is a restaurant definitely worth a visit. If you love mussels and seafood, it's a must-visit. I'll definitely be back!
