05/12/2025: Sadness.. disappointing strudel!

02/12/2025: The superior quality of this pastry shop can be divided into three categories: First, in the product: all artisanal, with excellent combinations of classic and innovative flavors. Raw materials clearly carefully selected and expertly crafted. A delight for the palate. Second, in the presentation and the attention to detail and cleanliness of the premises. A delight for the eyes. Third, in the kindness of the girls who always welcome you with a smile... A delight for the heart. Three delights squared deserve 6 stars... Alas, we can only give them 5 and add... BRAVO!

10/09/2025: Followed the access road from Val Noana. A steady climb, with sometimes challenging but never impossible sections. The route near the waterfall (a spring of very fresh water) is fantastic, where the road follows a section carved into the rock. Read the explanatory signs! Arrival at the refuge in an idyllic setting amidst flat meadows and dense surrounding woods. A warm welcome awaits. Excellent menu (a trio of delicious dumplings and spätzle) enjoyed at outdoor tables. Prices more than match the setting. Before setting off, weather permitting, sit outside, overlooking the valley's sunny meadows, sip a glass of herbal grappa and... meditate!

01/09/2025: Unfortunately, I didn't sleep there, but the location and food were excellent! And without overtourism.

21/11/2025: I was greeted with kindness and courtesy; given the chill outside, they showed me the warmest places to warm up quickly. Without a wait, they explained the menu and the day's dishes. I waited a while to choose, got answers to my questions, and ordered. Everything was amazing, homemade (including the bread), and generous portions. Definitely worth a try! Reasonable prices for the perceived quality.

22/10/2025: Exemplary service and attention. The food was delicious. The pizzas were excellent, and the carpaccio was also delicious. The lasagna was delicious, everything was great, we loved it!

19/10/2025: We dined at this pizzeria restaurant two nights a week. The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was comfortable and family-friendly. The pizza was excellent.

07/11/2025: Excellent pizza and a warm welcome! Pizzeria Rio in Povo is now a guaranteed success. Yesterday we had dinner with their usual excellent pizzas: the "Bomba," a ham and ricotta pizza, and a zucchini and ricotta pizza, and we tried a delicious speck with gorgonzola and caramelized onions. The real surprise was recognizing the owner, whom I had read a newspaper article about some time ago. Young, cheerful, and genuinely friendly, he perfectly embodies the spirit of the place. 🌞 The pizza, with its soft, well-seasoned dough, always confirms its quality. A well-deserved five stars, we'll be back soon.

06/10/2025: We only stopped for a short break during the Sasso Lungo/Sasso Piatto loop. The view is truly fantastic. It's worth stopping just to enjoy the view. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed with the pretzel I ordered. It was probably frozen and they microwaved it for too long or at the wrong power. The fact is, it was burned inside in some places and toasted in others.

13/10/2025: What a hotel! We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon, and from the moment we arrived it was absolutely stunning. We were greeted and shown around and given the choice of 2 rooms which was such a pleasant surprise but a tough choice! The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking and we never tired of it - waking up in the morning to the Dolomites was something else and seeing the silhouette of the moon was equally as impressive. The location is great for various ski lifts as well as numerous hikes. Just as impressive as the view has to be the food that's served as part of the half board. Everything that is served is fresh, tasteful and so well presented, it's safe to say this was our favourite place we ate on our honeymoon. There was a choice each night of a meat, fish or vegetable option so you could always be happy with what you were getting. One day we will be back as the service, views, food and room were all second to none and we absolutely loved our stay!

10/09/2025: This is a small, family-run hotel with a good number of facilities but stunning views of the mountains. As with most families, we stayed half-board and it was great. I'm a somewhat fussy eater but when a dish contained something I didn't like (coffee or celery for example) they could exclude it. The Michelin chef clearly knows their stuff as every dish was delicious, if not a little fussy. The menu changes each night. Breakfast was a served buffet affair and absolutely fine for what it is. We had a junior suite on the top floor and although we suffered a fair number of bangs to the head (being well over 6' doesn't help) the room was lovely. We didn't draw the curtains as waking up to the mountain view cannot be beaten. The town has a few cafés and restaurants if you are looking for a meal away from the hotel. It's a 100m climb (around 2km to the centre) but a fairly gentle slope up. Would happily stay here again and indeed plan to.

28/10/2025: Excellent home-cooked dishes, a rustic atmosphere, and truly reasonable prices. The menu is generally fixed but includes a bit of everything. The potato tortelli are excellent, the braised meat is delicious, and the ribs are exceptional. We had a great time.

27/10/2025: If I could, I'd give it 10 stars! I used to come here when I worked in these beautiful areas! I returned with family and friends after a few years, and it feels like time has stood still! The owners are incredibly sweet and kind; the lady cooks divinely, and the gentleman is not only sweet and helpful, but incredibly tender! The cuisine isn't superb, but more so: plentiful and of exceptional, superior, unique quality...typical of a mountain refuge! The prices are more than fair, €30 per person including drinks for a menu that never ends. The appetizers are incredible: the meat is fresh and tender, the beef is firm, and the carpaccio is something you'll remember for a lifetime. The first courses are exceptional: the canederli are traditional Trentino dumplings (the cheese ones are a delight!), and the second courses (for those who haven't had enough before) are exquisite; the braised beef in Barolo is so tender it melts in your mouth! The grappas are excellent, also strictly handmade! When we pass by these places again, we'll definitely stop here! Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends; they're not always open during the week. It's family-run! Update: We returned at the end of October 2025 and I can say that the quality is still the same, as is the kindness of the staff and "Mr. Baffo," who remains the star of the place! The price of the full menu has been increased by €5, now costing €35; still, it's a more than fair price for the quantity and quality of the products.

A menu prepared with quality ingredients, excellent presentation, a courteous and professional welcome, all combined with a TRUE experience of integration and inclusion. A THANK YOU to everyone and a special recognition for the passion that makes you, on the one hand, a restaurant and, on the other, a community where we immediately feel like friends. We'll be back, and back, and back! BRAVO

02/11/2025: By far the best Rifugio we stayed at. The food was spectacular. It was a great launching off point for multiple hikes. And it was an absolute delight to have a hot shower. I highly recommend staying here.

02/12/2025: We stopped here for a quick lunch during our stay in Moena. We ate well; the dishes were simple but tasty. The place is very small, so unfortunately, it can be difficult to find a seat. The prices are perhaps a little high, but overall, I would return.
