03/04/2026: We visited Osteria del Maso twice during our stay in Molveno, including a birthday dinner, and the experience was consistently excellent.
The food is clearly based on high-quality local ingredients, with a strong focus on traditional Trentino cuisine. The venison we had was excellent, and the lamb chops were equally well prepared—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The homemade pasta also stood out, and the desserts were just as good.
The atmosphere is warm and authentic, exactly what you would expect from a proper Italian osteria. Despite being busy, the service was attentive and professional.
Overall, a very reliable choice in Molveno if you are looking for genuine regional food done right. We would definitely return.

20/03/2026: Terrible! The waiter was extremely rude! He packed 9 of us into 2 small connected tables that could fit 4 people. When we said in English that we couldn't eat like that and that 9 dishes wouldn't fit, he cursed at us quietly in Italian, not knowing that some of us spoke Italian. I wanted to spread his teeth on the floor, but he ran away and hid behind the bar.
14/03/2026: Nice service, good food. Restaurant at a high level, they have good not only pizza but also other food. As a bonus, excellent prosecco.. prices are not exorbitant. I recommend. It is better to book seats in advance in case of larger groups.

01/01/2026: The atmosphere is very refined and charming, the service is efficient, and the staff is friendly. The food overall is good, especially the char. I have to criticize the Uruguayan sirloin because, based on how it's described on the menu and the price, I expect a bone-in cut, which would objectively be more prestigious. Instead, I felt like the long description of the cut only served to justify the price.
Overall, I recommend it because we ate well.

We didn't eat, but we stopped for a break from cross-country skiing in the afternoon.
19/11/2025: The location struck me as very charming, nestled among the mountains with a relaxing view of the valley. As soon as I sat down, I noticed the very friendly and helpful service: the waiters were attentive and patient.
The menu offers typical dishes from the Aosta Valley: I ordered a well-prepared polenta concia and their exquisite homemade gelato (photo), both well-executed and with distinct flavors. I also appreciated the platters of local cheeses and cured meats.
The atmosphere is rustic and welcoming, with an outdoor lawn where you can relax after your meal. The restaurant can get crowded outside, but it still offers a sincere and informal welcome. I recommend booking at least the day before.
In short: if you're looking for a quiet lunch with local dishes and attentive service in a natural setting, Chalet MontDolent is a very good choice.
