04/05/2025: Disappointing experience at Rifugio Serot – not recommended for families We went up full of enthusiasm, with our one and a half year old child, but the welcome at the Serot Refuge was cold, if not non-existent. Not even a good morning: as soon as we arrived we were immediately advised not to let the child play near the tools, in a tone closer to reproach than courtesy. We ask if it is possible to let the little one eat outside, at the tables, with a plate of spätzle. They tell us that they cannot serve outside. When asked for a simple fork we are told, curtly: “Take it”. No sense of hospitality, no care towards those traveling with children. The long-awaited spätzle arrive in two minutes flat: evidently preheated. No attention to quality, no empathy, no desire to make customers feel welcome. A refuge should welcome, not reject. And this, unfortunately, is a place to avoid – especially if you have children with you.

03/05/2025: Excellent experience, our students (we have a gym where combat sports are practiced) gave us a weekend in this corner of paradise because they know that we love the tranquility of the mountains. The place is run by young, very kind and caring people. A huge compliment for everything and a special praise to the chef, we ate DIVINELY. Really good.

13/06/2025: Very nice restaurant, great location, and pleasant ambiance. The staff was friendly, courteous, and spoke English and a little German. Great. We were there as two families (four adults and four children). Regarding the food, we unfortunately can't confirm the many positive reviews. The price-performance ratio is definitely not right here. Almost all the restaurants nearby offer more for the money, without compromising on quality. None of our four children finished the mini children's portion. The lasagna was edible, but nothing more. Spaghetti Bolognese was simply not good. Spaghetti with tomato sauce was even better. The staff should have noticed that. The traditional appetizer platter was good, but there should have been more for the money. Our fish platters and ravioli were good, but neither the taste nor the quantity justified the price. The pizza we ordered for the kids so they had something to eat was again good; everything was just right here. The selection, quality, and price of the wines are also good, and the other drinks are okay. We won't be back. All in all, it's a real shame.

02/04/2025: Really nice and well-kept restaurant. Friendly, nice and very helpful staff with requests. Really excellent food and reasonable prices. Ample parking. Nearby there is a beautiful walk that passes through several farms. Highly recommended!

02/06/2025: We spent three nights in this hotel managed in a very careful and attentive way, every evening we had dinner in the structure and I must say that the proposals were all prepared by their chef with fresh local products always delicious, a special mention deserves the breakfast with fresh products always prepared by them, the rooms are very clean spacious and with an excellent view. Highly recommended!

02/06/2025: As cyclists, we booked the Alt Spaur at short notice. The ultra-modern rooms, which aren't often occupied, and the excellent storage and charging facilities for our e-bikes impressed us right from the start. The restaurant on the ground floor, run by the owners themselves, was another pleasant surprise during our stay. Highly recommended; unbeatable value for money!

24/05/2025: Malga Bocche is a truly spectacular mountain hut and to get there I took a 3 kilometre long trail that was really beautiful, with landscapes so beautiful that I have never found them again. FOOD: I can't really say what the food is like, because I brought a packed lunch from the residence (I brought sandwiches) but I think it's good. SERVICE: The staff was very kind and sweet with the children, they took me on a tour of the farm and a ride on a horse. LOCATION: The location was really beautiful, it was on the top of a mountain with a view of other snow-capped Dolomites. It can be reached on foot, but on the way back you can go back on horseback. It was a beautiful experience ❤️ ❤️ thank you for everything!

08/09/2024: Malga caratteristica con prodotti propri di ottima qualità. I gestori sono simpatici e il servizio veloce. Purtroppo non è per tutti in quanto per raggiungerla bisogna fare un ripido sentiero che sale c.a. 300 metri di dislivello dalla parcheggio situato sotto Malga Prabon. Per chi non ha problemi di cammino in salita, la Malga rappresenta anche il punto di partenza per la bella ma lunga escursione del giro dei laghi che passa per il rifugio Cevedale.

04/09/2024: After an intense activity on the Zuffalspitze we return down in the late afternoon tired and hungry. The kitchen is closed but the guys try as best they can to please us to help us recover our energy and they do it in the best possible way. A special thanks to the owner who took us back to the valley by car after closing...pleasant chat. Come and visit them, special place!

09/04/2025: Mandatory stop before reaching San Martino di Castrozza. The Lucian pastry shop is really nice and welcoming, convenient to stop even if you are passing through. Once inside, I immediately saw a counter full of desserts and baked goods that were truly inviting, so much so that I would have tried everything. The staff is really kind and well trained. You can see that there is passion and quality behind so much work. The brioches we tried were fantastic, risen to perfection, tasty and unique. I will definitely come back when I'm in these areas!

30/04/2025: Ho soggiornato una notte in suite . Spettacolare. Nulla da dire. Personale gentile e disponibile e pulizia impeccabile. La grande delusione sono state la cena (avevamo la mezza pensione) e la colazione. Buffet verdure imbarazzante . Pomodoro mozzarella come antipasto e valdostana con patatine ( che poi era una fettina impanata con una fetta formaggio fuso sopra) come piatto principale, in un ristorante che ha un menu alla carte di tutto rispetto è inconcepibile. Ritengo che in sede di prenotazione sarebbe opportuno chiarire in cosa "consiste" la mezza pensione .Credo sia il rifugio dove ho mangiato peggio in assoluto.
