10/12/2025: I'd say awful... three adults were seated at a table in front of the door with a constant stream of people waiting their turn... we ordered a tagliata... stewed wild boar... and Sienese ossobuco... dessert and coffee, we opted for a coffee maker... the icing on the cake was the €97.00 bill with no receipt... what can I say!!!

09/12/2025: We're giving the food 3 stars because the meat was tender and the porcini mushrooms were flavorful. Otherwise, however, the execution of the dishes was disappointing: the tagliatelle were overcooked, the salad was truly sparse, and the bread seemed days old, not to mention it looked like it had already been passed around. The staff welcomed us, yes, but it was clear that the management was poorly coordinated. We waited a long time despite the waiters rushing around, not caring for their own tables. The atmosphere was also rather sad, and considering that neither the service nor the cuisine were up to par, we can only say we made a mistake in choosing to eat at Boccon del Prete.

15/09/2025: Restaurant: The food in this restaurant is undoubtedly very good – you can immediately tell that the chef really knows what he's doing. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is completely out of whack. For a small restaurant in a tiny and relatively unknown town like Montisi, the prices are completely exorbitant. There are only two flat rates for primi piatti and secondi piatti – this means, for example, that you have to pay a whopping €22 for a tiny soup that definitely won't fill you up. Even €12 would be quite high for that, but €22 is truly outrageous. The bigger problem, however, is the ordering policy: After we had already ordered a drink and actually only wanted one main course, the waiter informed us that we had to order two dishes per person. The information about this is only mentioned in very small print at the bottom of the menu. This means that guests are either forced to eat more (and pay significantly more) than they actually want – or leave the restaurant. That's exactly what happened at the next table: The guests got up and left because they couldn't afford or didn't want to comply with this rule. We ourselves did order a second course, but it felt very strange to be forced to do so. In my opinion, such a practice is neither hospitable nor economically sensible. Either you allow guests to order according to their hunger and appetite and still make money, or you force them to order two courses and ultimately lose customers. I've never experienced anything like this in Italy, and frankly, I find it extremely rude.

26/06/2025: La Romita es un pintoresco restaurante dirigido por la familia que sirve comida tradicional toscana casera. Éramos 4 adultos que compartimos dos aperitivos que eran increíbles y disfrutamos de primer y segundo plato y luego compartimos un postre. Aunque no son baratos los precios eran comparables a otros restaurantes de calidad en los que hemos estado y la calidad de los platos era excepcional. Los propietarios hablan un poco de inglés, pero logramos entender lo que se ofrecía con la ayuda de un menú en inglés que explicaba algunos de los platos que se ofrecen. Una experiencia auténtica que disfrutaríamos felizmente de nuevo.

01/05/2025: Abbiamo preferito l'ottima cucina senese, a base di carne e pasta fatta in casa a mano, al menu di pesce, e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti: i piatti, molto curati ed appetitosi, di grande qualità, serviti con attenzione, sono stati tutti molto piacevoli. Il locale, di lunga tradizione, è molto piacevole.

30/04/2025: Era la prima volta che ci andavamo, anche se in pieno centro della nostra città. Sapevamo già che non sarebbe stata una cena da poca spesa, però l'importante è che siamo stati benissimo. 22/04/2025: Cibi pessimo, birra allungata, servizio ancora peggio, cameriera molto maleducata. Abbiamo chiesto il cambio del primo piatto perché faceva un cattivo odore (pici con la nana) la cameriera ha inventato delle scuse improponibili per non farlo. Credo proprio che non ci ritorno

02/03/2025: Tuffo nel passato con sapori autentici e genuini come le persone che ci lavorano. Ottimi sia i pici al ragù bianco che le scaloppine ai porcini e la tagliata al rosmarino. Prezzi onesti , sicuramente da fermarsi se si è in zona .

14/10/2025: Rude and unfriendly service. We waited patiently to speak to one of the waitresses, but were consistently ignored. When one waitress finally showed us to a table that still needed to be cleaned, the other angrily dismissed us. We left and didn't eat there. Perhaps it was just a misunderstanding, but we found the treatment disrespectful. Update: Unfortunately, the response to my review is factually incorrect. You're twisting the facts. That's a shame.

10/10/2025: The occasion for a dinner with colleagues... we ate an excellent appetizer with crouton with porcini mushrooms and burrata... then a tartar with truffle... everything delicious with very attentive service...

26/04/2025: Questo posto è il più buon ristorante di sushi che abbiamo mai provato. Il posto è bellissimo e pulito, il menù è vario ed è tutto molto buono. Le porzioni sono abbondanti ma il cibo è leggero🍣🍙 I dolci sono buonissimi e non stuccano🍡 Il personale gentile e il servizio è abbastanza veloce. Abbiamo deciso che se dobbiamo mangiare sushi andremo solo li. Consigliamo tantissimo e torneremo di sicuro!!👏😽

12/08/2025: The owner is very friendly and helpful. We stopped here with our two large dogs by chance and were hungry before reaching the Abbey of San Galgano. The atmosphere is very nice and well-kept. The platters are very rich and delicious, as are the bread and house wine. It's a shame it's so far from home (PC), otherwise it would be one of our favorite places.

08/12/2025: We booked this restaurant, considering the crowds in Montepulciano over the Immaculate Conception weekend. We showed up 15 minutes late due to pedestrian traffic and unfamiliarity with the place, as it was our first time here. Once we arrived, we were told that the table had already been given to other people, much to the annoyance of the lady who said that other people hadn't shown up without saying anything (but we were there!) Another lady then told us that a table was becoming available and that we could sit. We were given a table in a very narrow space not suitable for five people. In any case, the service from the waiters was friendly and the food overall was good, with a special mention for the pici all'aglione. The wild boar we ordered as a main course arrived cold inside, and the service took considerably longer.

30/11/2025: This restaurant near the Fortress is open for lunch until 4 pm. The charcuterie board, pappardelle with duck ragù, and ribollita are all delicious, but the gnocchi are forgettable.

22/10/2025: On a rainy day with seniors and children, we arrived at this delicious place with a variety of dishes featuring perfectly cooked vegetables, cheeses, and spectacular charcuterie; my nephew ate two plates, haha. Everything was incredible; everyone loved it, and the prices are also very good. The staff are super diligent, caring, patient, kind, and gorgeous! Thank you, thank you!

10/10/2025: Great service, great food. Locally sourced ingredients. It's also a butcher so the meat, sausages etcpp is made by the owners. Its well worth the trip. Also incredibly good coffee. Would come again even if just for the coffee.

03/11/2025: I've been to Fattoria Il Pulcino twice in just a few days, the first with my company for an event with over 80 guests from various countries—Japan, Germany, the United States, Peru, and England—and the second on my own. During the company experience, we participated in a wonderful pasta-making workshop, led with care and kindness, followed by a pleasant, well-organized, and excellent dinner. When I returned privately, I was able to appreciate the quality of the cuisine even more: truly excellent meats, cured meats, and cheeses, accompanied by good wine. I also visited the shop, where I purchased two truly extraordinary pecorino cheeses (one with truffle and one with pears). You can sense the owners' great attention to hospitality, tradition, and connection to the local area. I also found it wonderful to see how local schools are involved in their small artisanal projects. An authentic, well-kept, and welcoming place, definitely worth a visit.
