14/04/2025: locale molto carino siamo andati per i pici e li abbiamo trovati ottimi sia all'aglione che alle briciole, ottime le tagliatele al cinghiale e i fegatelli. Squisito il personale come del resto tutti in toscana. prezzi nella media

04/04/2025: Si può parlare con gli amici in un ambiente che non ha il frastuono di fondo di altri ristoranti. Ottima pizza. Prezzo conveniente. Camerieri gentilissimi.

02/08/2025: For the quality of the sliced meat, I would give it 6 stars going to the checkout, but I can't understand how a green salad can cost 9 euros when a sliced meat costs 18. I repeat, the sliced meat deserved 23 euros too... so it would be more correct to then apply €4 for the salad.

07/08/2025: The waitress is extremely unpleasant. Not a smile. She clearly has a problem with tourists, and it feels like a nuisance. The interior dining room was filthy, with crumbs all over the table and chairs, and smudges on the glass. Yet, there was no one there. The pizza is barely decent, very greasy. The cakes are not good: the shortcrust pastry is so thick it's impossible to bite into. In short, avoid this place. There are probably a thousand times better options in Asciano.

23/08/2025: If you've always dreamed of a vacation... in a hospital ward, the perfect hotel exists: this one. The room truly felt like a ward, small and bare, with no closet and no comforts whatsoever. The bed? A camp cot: if you're taller than 1.70 meters, your feet check out first. Upon arrival, the welcome was sensational: towels and sheets already stained. Immediate change (thanks to the reception, the only positive note), but otherwise a sight worthy of a treasure hunt: dust and broken glass under the bed, a minibar full of archaeological finds months out of date, and rusty lamps as if they came from a sunken ship. The bathroom is a mystical experience: a bidet stuck in the shower (worth trying if you like circus acrobatics) and a sink that emits a rotten smell at all hours. Breakfast? A dream for those who love monotony: the same tarts and donuts from the day before, recycled and piled on a single plate. More than a buffet, it was an experiment in food preservation. And that's not all: we had the honor of a roommate in our room: a gecko! The only welcome guest, because at least he did us the favor of eating mosquitoes. We had booked a standard room, expecting something basic but decent. Instead, we found ourselves in room 108, which in the photos on the website has probably been replaced with a rendering from another planet. Bottom line: dirty, uncomfortable, depressing, and even deceptive. If you like paying for a hotel to feel like you're in a hospital... with recycled breakfast and a gecko included, this is the perfect place.

23/08/2025: The hotel restaurant is very nice, but the portions are small and the prices are high. The rooms are poor, there's mold on the walls, and ants in the bathroom. There's no kettle, no way to boil water for coffee, and the restaurant only opens six days a week from 7:30 PM. You won't be able to drink coffee or tea all day.

13/08/2025: We visited this restaurant hoping for a pleasant meal, but unfortunately experienced a very disappointing situation. Upon arrival, we politely waited at the designated spot, as requested, for staff to seat us. For about 15 minutes, no one approached us, greeted us, or informed us of any waiting time, even though the staff clearly saw us and there were free tables outside. When we finally asked a waitress if we could sit down, we received a rude and inappropriate response: “We’re full.” Such an attitude towards guests is very unprofessional and leaves a negative impression, regardless of the quality of the food.

08/08/2025: We are here organised by our hotel as there was a family connection. The atmosphere was incredibly tense on arrival. We ordered an expensive bottle of wine with our meal as this was a special occasion (my birthday treat). The cork disintegrated when the waitress attempted to open. The wine was clearly corked and the condition of the cork impacting the wine. They attempted to serve me the same wine with cork fragments still in it, I gave the benefit of doubt and tasted the wine. When I explained to the waitress that it was corked and tasted musty and flat she left and was followed out by the owner. Who was one of the rudest people I have ever met. He told myself and my partner that we clearly didn’t have the pallet for old wine, and we should instead order something younger. I asked if we could be served the same bottle of wine we chose but a new bottle due to the degradation of the cork. He refused and blamed our pallet. We decided this restaurant was not for us and went elsewhere. Avoid if you can. Rude, disrespectful owner and staff.

03/07/2025: ¡Muy bien! Gracias. Hemos comido bien en la Toscana durante todo nuestro viaje, pero Idyllium fue nuestro favorito en cuanto a comida y ambiente en general. Resulta que realmente guardamos lo mejor para la última noche y hemos visitado algunos lugares increíbles. Música en vivo de buen gusto, la comida era excelente, el vino y los cócteles a juego y bueno… ¡las vistas hablan por sí solas! Una puesta de sol impresionante. Gracias, nos vemos la próxima vez.

22/12/2024: Uno de los grandes restaurantes de la provincia (Siena). Original y deliciosa comida toscana, muy local y de temporada. Voy allí con frecuencia aunque vivo a una hora de distancia. Estilo Slow Foods.

06/07/2025: Locale sopravvalutato per ciò che è realmente. La nuova location è carina, peccato sia l’unica cosa che si salvi. Personale impreparato (abbiamo chiesto cosa ci fosse nell’antipasto “crostini misti” e non hanno saputo risponderci) e troppo informale. Trovo inconcepibile proporre nel menù un antipasto toscano senza neanche l’ombra di un crostino nero e con tanto di mortadella di Bologna annessa. Altrettanto inconcepibile servire un filetto con speck e provola, la bontà sta nella semplicità e coprire il sapore della carne con altri sapori non da niente in più al piatto. Qualità della carne pessima, ho riscontrato problemi nella masticazione: troppo stoppacciosa. Ci è stato servito un vino rosso “caldo come il piscio” a detta della cameriera. L’unica cosa che si salva insieme alla location sono i dolci che si presentano molto bene e riscontrano pienamente i gusti del sottoscritto. Ad addolcire il tutto ci è stato presentato un conto a dir poco salato per la qualità della proposta!

05/07/2025: Nous sommes tombés par hasard sur ce restaurant situé en pleine campagne sur la route entre Arezzo et Sienne. Le restaurant semble avoir complètement été refait et ne ressemble en aucun cas aux anciennes photos. Tout s’est super bien passé, on nous a aidé à placer la voiture sur le parking extérieur. On nous a vite trouvé une table disponible et le service est très efficace. Les prix sont hyper corrects. 5€ une pizza margarita et les pizzas sont toutes environ à 8€. Nous avons prix un Aperol spritz qui était bien rempli et très bon, deux salades mixtes en entrée assez copieuses et je recommande en pâtes les picis au bacon et artichauts et les raviolis au pecorino et poires. En dessert, nous avons une charlotte aux fruits rouges. Nous avons passé un excellent repas en toute simplicité. L’Italie comme on l’aime. Je vous recommande à 💯 %

19/07/2025: Prachtig uitzicht met in de verte San Gimangiano. Hier gegeten met zonsondergang en dit was echt prachtig. Lokale gerechten op de kaart en bieden een breed scala aan wijnen voor een prima prijs. Ik zou het dan ook zeker aanraden.

23/06/2025: Spent 103 euros for a water....2 starters...2 second courses...2 desserts....too much if I consider the food quality to be average but the starter plate was dirty (grey dust stains that could be wiped off with your fingers)...and the bread was served in a basket wrapped in a cloth napkin stained with wine..(used..?)...I don't recommend it!

11/08/2025: What we ate was good, both the tacos and the pizza, but the prices seemed a bit high. Perhaps tourists passing through San Gimignano are willing to pay these prices? Looking at the menu, I was "impressed" by the gourmet sandwiches for €16... I'm missing something. The service was quick but a bit confusing.

08/08/2025: We've been there twice, and both times we had a terrible experience. The cocktails were undrinkable; even a simple gin and lemon was too sour and undrinkable. Not to mention the slow service, and the waitresses were always rude. It's a shame because the place is nice, but the rest isn't.
