06/06/2025: Every year during our Italian vacation, we go to Siena specifically to eat here. Why? The menu is fantastic, unlike the run-of-the-mill selection of restaurants around the square. The food is top-quality and the service is very friendly. The ambiance is also beautiful.

05/06/2025: Both for lunch and dinner we were able to taste very very good dishes, simple and genuine products! Compliments to the chef and all the staff!! I highly recommend and if we ever return to Siena we will remember you!!

18/05/2025: In posizione defilata, lungo la strada che da Castel porta a San Gimignano, la Locanda del Borgo è un ambiente tranquillo dove si mangia toscano e bene. Ottimi i pici al ragú bianco di cinta senese così come le caramelle ripiene con la pera e il formaggio versato a cascata. Gustosissimo il tagliere con affettati toscani (coppa, finocchiona e salame) accompagnato da crostoni e salsine, il tagliere di formaggi e…senz’altro la famosa fiorentina che qui è certo di casa. Prezzi non economici, ma ormai nello standard. Cena consigliata a chi si trova da queste parti.

18/03/2025: The waiter is a very kind person, who to add an aroma to your dish, if touched the iron during the preparation of the delight. The service is very fast, in fact it gives you just enough time to finish the last of us. The food is fucking perfectly extremely efficiently inadvertently exceptionally perfecttimo. The venue resembles a fairy castle of exceptional beauty and comfort. The prices are perfection, creating a cheap but elusively exceptional atmosphere.

30/06/2025: Inedible food service not prepared many mistakes in bringing the dishes. Nice classic location but too dirty in some places. I did not feel comfortable!

29/06/2025: My husband and I came here 4 nights in a row. The food is exceptional, the host and owners are incredibly nice… we felt at home. This is where the locals eat and you cannot beat the price, I promise you. 10/10. Not a tourist trap!

09/02/2025: The pub you don't expect: excellent cuisine, good quality ingredients and an extensive menu! Pici alla carbonara really interesting and the fried chicken breast served with vegetables was delicious (it's not the usual industrial cutlet!) well done guys! Perhaps the desserts could only be improved a little... but we must remember that we are still in a pub! We will be very happy to return! Keep it up!

14/04/2025: locale molto carino siamo andati per i pici e li abbiamo trovati ottimi sia all'aglione che alle briciole, ottime le tagliatele al cinghiale e i fegatelli. Squisito il personale come del resto tutti in toscana. prezzi nella media

19/05/2025: Nous avons vécu une expérience culinaire exceptionnelle dans ce bijou niché au cœur de la magnifique Toscane. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis avec une chaleur sincère et une grande attention. Le service est irréprochable et la vrai magie s’est poursuivie dans l’assiette. Antonio, le propriétaire, nous a bien conseillé avec des plats raffinés, préparés par son épouse, la chef du restaurant. Un vrai délice! Vivement recommander 👌

11/05/2025: Excelentes vistas, pero nada más que hablar. Los 45 minutos que les tomó tomar el pedido y servir el pan no fueron apreciados. Cuando llegó el primer plato, 45 minutos después, la pasta estaba fría y poco apetitosa. Finalmente, cuando se sirvieron las mejillas de ternera, encontramos que este plato principal también era tibio y excesivamente graso. ¿Qué pasó con este restaurante? Solía ser genial, pero comimos mucho mejor en todos los demás restaurantes que visitamos en nuestra estancia en Montalcino. Es demasiado alborotado, el servicio carente de cuidado y la cocina en precisión y los propietarios en cualquier otro orgullo no dejarían que las cosas se deterioraran tanto como lo habían hecho. Otro ejemplo de la falta de cuidado fue que mientras que nuestro camarero claramente escuchó a mi esposa hablando conmigo sobre cómo estábamos celebrando nuestro cumpleaños, no hubo ningún gesto para reconocer esto por parte de ningún miembro del personal / propietario / cocina. No regresaremos.

04/05/2025: Ci siamo fermati a pranzo. Preso un antipasto, un piatto di fettuccine, un abbacchio scottadito, spinaci e acqua della casa. Nella carne trovo un grande pelo nero... Io sono bionda... Faccio notare con delicatezza. La cameriera propone di fare rifare il piatto. Io a malincuore accetto. Peggio del pelo nella carne c'è il fatto che nessuno sia venuto a scusarsi e che il piatto portato in sostituzione fosse costituito da due pezzetti di ossa bruciate mentre nel piatto avevo lasciato un bel pezzo di carne. Volevamo prendere il dolce ma siamo andati via. Ovviamente messo tutto sul conto e pagato. 43 euro! BOCCIATO!

17/06/2025: Beautiful property and friendly staff. We stayed here for 6 nights with our 3 month old. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was great but the same options for 6 days got a little boring after some time. Also for food after hours you have to drive to town. One suggestion I would make is to add a coffee or tea maker in the room. It was advertised as the rooms have one but they don’t. A lot of early mornings I would have loved to enjoy some coffee/espresso on my balcony but did not have the option. And the Restaurant doesn’t open till 8am. Overall still great stay.

16/06/2025: It was a memorable stay! The resort is quiet, clean, cozy and royal and historical. It was a monastery 500 years ago. The view from the gardens is stunning! The staff is very nice, friendly and professional! I would definitely go back in the future!
