16/04/2025: Excellent food, attentive and welcoming staff…guys, between us…we eat and drink like a god!!!!

07/04/2025: Typical tavern near the cathedral, I passed by in the morning and stopped in front to observe the place, encouraged by the scent, but I walked away for fear that it was some kind of tourist trap. In the evening of the same day I went there for dinner, on the advice of a boy originally from Siena, and I was satisfied with everything. The place is very nice, full of old photographs, very rustic but kept quite well. The owners and waiters are very kind and the dishes really tasty. As a faithful lover of Tuscan cuisine, I took: - as an appetizer the simple baked pecorino with radicchio, piping hot, perfect on silly bread; - as a first course my beloved ribollita, an enveloping warm cuddle on a very cold day, I would have brought more fresh onions on the side (or spring onion) but it was still really good; - as for the second course, the Sienese snails with sauce, I had never tried them but I knew they were typical and difficult to find: I think I would have eaten 3 plates of them. The sauce is really rich, based on sautéed pork and anchovies, the flavor is enveloping and strong, the snails seasoned in this way can easily become a pure "taste vice", so much so that any greasy slipper and hand are obligatory and justified. Try them and you will definitely be satisfied. The bill was a little high but it was truly worth every penny. Congratulations to the managers, who accepted my requests for half portions and really always approached me with courtesy, giving me their time to explain the recipes to me. You are fantastic

22/03/2025: Non so se 5 stelle sono abbastanza. Poco all’aglione DIVINI. Tagliatelle al cinghiale che non ti dico. Poi tortino di pecorino fuso al tartufo una squisitezza e lo spezzatino, squisito e veramente abbondante (tranquillamente per due persone). Patate arrosto più buone di sempre e il tiramisù, che dire abbiamo fatto il bis. Poi il personale carinissimo e gentile. Attento ad ogni dettaglio. Voto 10+ ci torneremo presto!

07/03/2025: DA EVITARE!!! Carne apparentemente precotta, fredda e insipida, tant’è che non l’abbiamo potuta mangiare. Ci siamo appena saziati con …pane olio e sale! Personale e gestione del tutto indifferenti alle reiterate lamentele. Hanno tuttavia avuto la minima decenza di non farci pagare la pessima carne, che abbiamo lasciato. Veramente incredibile tanta incuria,cibo pessimo e servizio pubblico indifferente. Nessuno si è scusato o servito un piatto alternativo. Posto peggiore provato in tutta la vita ! Evitare questi posti acchiappa turisti, così come ne abbiamo a Roma nei pressi dei luoghi più frequentati. A mai più.

23/02/2025: Posto speciale. La cura e l’attenzione sono di un livello raro. La ricerca delle materie prime e la curiosità, abbinati alla passione, hanno portato la nostra cena a un livello superiore. Complimenti, torneremo!

02/01/2025: Abbiamo trascorso una bellissima serata di fine anno. Il menù di San Silvestro era perfetto per i nostri gusti, con un ottimo bilanciamento fra tradizione e innovazione gourmet. Ci ha colpito in particolare la professionalità e la gentilezza dello chef Simone.

26/04/2025: In the small square in the middle of Asciano's main street, shared with another bar, it has indoor and outdoor tables. The coffee is very good, and the pizza too.

27/04/2025: Food very subpar and expensive, portions are small. The view is amazing, highly recommend going before sunset! We had eggplant, risotto, ravioli and lobster. They brought quite a few different breads to start, which were all very good. However, the courses themselves were pretty average at best with a massive price tag. If you can sit right against the window, the view is unobstructed and gorgeous. The service was good until the end - for some reason after declining dessert, it took the wait stuff 20-30 minutes to bring us the bill. Overall, not worth the price and tons of great place locally with better food, portions and price tag! Only benefit here is the view.

08/04/2025: I have never had a restaurant where the prices have nothing to do with the dishes served. A starter for €25 without any taste or flavor, a main course for €35 with raw black potatoes. Abused!!!!! I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant!!!!

13/08/2024: Este lugar prometía mucho, pero fue tan decepcionante. Reserve una mesa para 7 , apareció solo para que me dijeran que me habían enviado un correo electrónico diciendo que no estarían abiertos hasta las 7 . 30 . No enviaron un correo electrónico. Todo tipo de gaseosas americanas en los menús, pero cada vez que pedimos una no estaba en stock. Los platos principales estaban bien, nada en particular que quejarse allí. Pero los batidos... Por encima de 5 euros y podría haber hecho mejor en casa, no hay helado incluido, a pesar de decir que estaba en el menú. El personal hizo todo lo posible, pero era lamentablemente escaso de personal Con todo, muy decepcionante

02/11/2024: Absolute disappointment regarding the food that was served to us: banal pici with tomato sauce, too salty yet tasteless, with parmesan if desired (and this in itself... a serious chef doesn't ask, he knows how to serve his dish!) But the cheese was, to put it mildly, grana padano without seasoning; greasy cod fritters, which only smelled of refried seed oil, they tasted like potatoes but the cod ... didn't arrive! Accompanying mayonnaise purchased at the discount store. Pancakes served on cutting board from salami and cheese. Why? The staff was very kind and knowledgeable, the place was wonderful, relaxing and sweetly welcoming. But the chef? Good heavens, but which star? My pancakes without firmament would have been better!
