15/06/2025: Buena ubicación. servicio razonable. muy ruidoso. comida mediocre. tenía costillas de cerdo que eran posiblemente las peores que he comido. embutidos italianos estaban bien, pero nada más allá de lo que uno compraría en un supermercado. la t - hueso / fiorentina también era apenas mediocre y yo diría que es un insulto al nombre del plato
Mejor prueba algo menos turístico
12/06/2025: La vista era la mejor que había tenido en un restaurante!
Solicite una mesa junto a la ventana al hacer su reserva o llegue temprano, espere afuera junto a la puerta principal y luego corra y tome una mesa junto a la ventana.
La comida era buena pero no excepcional.
Lo que no me gustó fue que no pudimos elegir el tamaño de nuestra bistecca toscana. Nos enseñaron un trozo de carne y cuando le dije a la camarera que era demasiado grande para nosotros, ella dijo que era eso. Así que, por supuesto, era demasiado grande para nosotros y terminamos dejando un montón de carne muy cara en nuestros platos.

05/04/2026: Menchetti's classic pizza, always good, but terrible service. The two girls not only served us in a way that made it clear they didn't want to be there, but they also started arguing in front of everyone until they finally told each other to leave, which one of them was about to do as we left. Happy Easter!

10/11/2025: A place to be and indulge in simple, honest Tuscany cuisine - what a pleasure to had the chance to get a sweat spot on a Saturday for lunch.
We come back!
05/10/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant in the historic center of Sarteano, and what can I say? It was a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was homey, and the owner offered us delicious Cinta Senese ham as an appetizer. We ordered: a platter of cured meats and cheeses, pici all'aglione, ravioli with butter and sage, baked potatoes, biscotti and vin santo, red wine and coffee. Everything was delicious and carefully prepared. The portions were generous, and the prices were more than fair. We'll definitely be back!

30/04/2026: Absolutely delicious!! A very short walk away from the Piazza, this hidden gem really surprised us. From the front it looks small and unassuming but we chose to eat inside as it was a chilly evening and we found it lovely. It is not the most flashy or elaborate of decor but the service and food were what really made it for me! Highly recommend the 1ltr of house white wine with the pork!

18/05/2026: We were there last night for my wife's birthday.
A beautiful historic restaurant with panoramic terraces, located in one of the most beautiful squares in the world.
Chef Giovanni delighted us with a welcome aperitif and a truly delicious mixed antipasti platter.
Followed by top-notch gourmet pizzas...I think the best I've ever tasted...top-notch ingredients and expert craftsmanship. The "Giovanni" pizza is a must-try...delicious.
5 stars are not enough...highly recommended!!!
09/05/2026: No idea how your food tastes since no one was able to come and take our order for about 20 minutes - and yes, we were signaling our presence twice.

30/05/2026: Very nice place! We visited this restaurant for dinner after our trip to San Gimignano. They have many private parking spots in the forest and offer a cozy dining atmosphere outside in the shadow.
We ordered Pinsa, Chickenburger and a vegetarian burger with vegan "pulled pork" and fries included which was super tasty!
We can recommend this place to everyone looking for an alternative to all the places flooded by tourists.
21/05/2026: Very cute space in nature! There are no real toilets (chemical ones are available). The staff is super nice and the atmosphere was very relaxing!

10/04/2026: This was surprisingly forgettable. Not awful or bad, just not memorable at all.
Our waiter was probably 14 years old. Really. It was cute because it's a family run place. When I asked him for a Brunello recommendation, he had an answer with confidence, but that wine turned out to be pretty whimsy (no body) especially for a Brunello. He spilled it when he poured, and had the social skills of an eighth grader, naturally.
Carpaccio was pretty good and quite generous. Bruschete was kind of bland. Margherita pizza was fair (by Italian standards). Pana Cotta was quite good.
We appreciated very much that they had about a dozen wines sold by the glass. Prices were reasonable.

04/05/2026: Il Grappolo Blu is a Montalcino inn with a remarkable wine list (fitting a wedding album!!). Even though they'd already given away the table we'd reserved because we were late (parking in Montalcino during the holidays isn't exactly easy, we discovered), they managed to seat us fairly quickly. The bruschetta with cavolo nero and cannellini beans was excellent, and the rabbit in Brunello sauce and pici pasta were delightful. The wines are reasonably priced. The service wasn't the most attentive, and there could be room for improvement in terms of customer service.

04/05/2026: Hotel located in the center of Colle Val d'Elsa. As its name suggests, it was once home to the local paper mill, whose products could be transported to the port of Pisa because the Elsa River was navigable at the time, allowing access to all the then-known markets. The rooms are welcoming and kept very clean. The food is plentiful and good. Parking near the hotel is a bit difficult. Parking is available about 400 meters away.

06/06/2026: We had a delicious meal here. I don't think the restaurant is called Fontabecci anymore. Perhaps there's been a change of ownership?
We had pizza Margherita and pasta with tomato sauce. Unfortunately, they didn't have tuna pizza. The waiter was very helpful and friendly.
03/06/2026: We'd been there before for dinner and the experience hadn't been positive. We wanted to give it a second chance, but unfortunately, we can confirm that it's not a place where you can eat well. I ordered a sea bass fillet, which arrived completely raw: it tasted like a frozen, poorly defrosted meal! I ordered a pizza instead, but it wasn't the best!
