26/07/2026: A perfect place to stop without going out of your way. The food was delicious, and the service was quick and very friendly. Ideal for refueling and continuing your journey. We'll definitely be back.

13/07/2026: It wasn't our first time at this restaurant. Originally a Neapolitan pizzeria, it has evolved over time and now offers a wide selection of seafood and meat dishes. They also make various "pinsa," but I can't comment on them. The wine list isn't extensive, but it's still good. We saw excellent platters being passed around the tables, and they were truly generous. We opted for a meat option, and the first courses we tried (pici with Cinta Senese sausage and Tuscan pecorino cheese, and tagliatelle with Chianti ragù) were completely satisfying in terms of flavor and quantity. Free, spacious parking. The location is close to the walls of Buonconvento. The only small drawback: the service, despite being friendly, was objectively a bit slow.

14/08/2026: Superb restaurant, not at all touristy, very good value for money, special mention for the cacio e peppe. Very friendly staff and perfect music, I highly recommend it.

01/08/2026: Food was great, service was top notch, portions were very generous. Service was extremely fast, and our waiter spoke 6 different languages which made my daughter bewildered... A little off the piazza so you dont pay the tpurist trap tax is a bonus. The boar stew was great, and their tagliatele al toscan were a hit. Only downside was the restaurant was hot inside, AC seemed either insufficient or defective, but italy is having a heatwave so not going to ding them for it.

07/12/2025: A historic bar on the main street of Poggibonsi. It's had several owners. I like this latest one. The girls are always smiling and kind. Fast service. I'm happy to stop by.

17/05/2026: Bo 11/5/2026 The image that came to mind when I entered Osteria di Mugnanese, in Castiglione del Lago (PG), including the owners, could easily be placed in the early Middle Ages, even given its location. This signifies a genuine rustic atmosphere, honesty, and (alas) a lost time. A nearly fixed menu with fresh products, respect for tradition, and family-style service. Absolutely worth a try, including the scenic impact. My only criticism: a restaurant of that caliber deserves a more suitable wine. Excellent and friendly, regardless. Alfredo from Bologna

15/03/2026: We need to promote authentic places! One of the few osterias in the area that still offers a traditional menu without any reinterpretations, all at truly fair prices and generous portions. Excellent!

25/12/2025: A very nice place, well-managed. It's a shame the drinks are a bit pricey, but especially the girl who makes them serves very small quantities. I hope it's not the place's policy, because it would be scandalous. I can pay whatever it's worth for a gin, but I expect the same amount as other places. Merry Christmas!

26/07/2026: For some time now I’ve intended coming here since they moved from their former charming location in Oltrarno..& last night was the occasion! Graciously accepting our special discount vouchers that usually aren’t valid on Saturdays, we were especially pleased to return to experience what they were doing now in their kitchen-& it’s an exciting menu with modern takes on classic cuisines, both international and in particular > Tuscan. We liked the delightful environment as well as the gracious hospitality offered .. but alas the food was considerably disappointing in detail- with one notable exception: the outstandingly achieved Rabbit Paccheri-quite simply superb! I’m thinking now it’s perhaps their best work just may be when they don’t get playful with the classics? My absurd mishmash gnocchetti cum supposed soufflé starter à perfect example! I chose the tempting Cinta as my main, & while the meat itself was slightly undercooked ( good!) it lacked the dimension I’d expected billed as having been cooked in à lard & speck wrap - any trace of which was utterly indiscernible…? But the clever sautéed radiccio & raspberry accompaniment was far too sharp to be acceptable.. even though in itself it was terrific, way off balance it was nonetheless with the delicate pork fillet in its fine sauce. My husband’s beef fillet was beautiful, but had been robbed of it’s potential taste & texture by we believe having been subjected to a sous vide preparation ( possibly my meat had similarly been done this way ?) and not even the well made sauce could save it from being a final disappointment overall. The undistinguished spinach side too seemed likely a precook, & was dull enough to be …boring. Thankfully the wines by the glass were notably well balanced and certainly fine offerings -& we appreciated they being brought to table for tasting before decisions were made as to individual likes & preferences! Bravo ! Alas we are only able to recommend this lovely destination with significant reservations about some their respected chef’s cooking techniques…certainly not the quality of the food! And I’d return tomorrow to have another plate of that delicious Rabbit Paccheri !

17/07/2026: Some of the best food we’ve ever had in Florence over the years. Just great Italian food and service. Top notch and we will definitely come back here. The wine was amazing and the dishes were all creative yet classics.

04/08/2026: Please away from this place. Unfriendly owners cheated me, obviously gave no bill. They were fighting in front of us because they only want people for eating, not for just a drink. This is the kind of experience you definitely do not want. Never again.

08/02/2026: Not a great pastry shop! Lots of pastries, some not made daily, a gloomy atmosphere, no friendliness or greetings, and prices not displayed. Too much is too much. No savory items. Better to have fewer, but good ones. Prices are quite high.

24/06/2026: We're riding our Vespa to Rome and stopped overnight in Poggibonsi. They recommended eating here. The charcuterie board was very good, including the pecorino with honey. The salads were plentiful, and the pizzas were adequate but well-seasoned. The place is simple, but the prices are reasonable.

10/06/2026: I had lunch at this bar-trattoria and tried the tagliatelle with wild boar ragù: truly delicious. The portion was generous, the pasta excellent, and the ragù rich in flavor, well-prepared, and very tasty. The place was also clean and well-kept, and the service was top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff. A very positive experience.

10/04/2026: This was surprisingly forgettable. Not awful or bad, just not memorable at all. Our waiter was probably 14 years old. Really. It was cute because it's a family run place. When I asked him for a Brunello recommendation, he had an answer with confidence, but that wine turned out to be pretty whimsy (no body) especially for a Brunello. He spilled it when he poured, and had the social skills of an eighth grader, naturally. Carpaccio was pretty good and quite generous. Bruschete was kind of bland. Margherita pizza was fair (by Italian standards). Pana Cotta was quite good. We appreciated very much that they had about a dozen wines sold by the glass. Prices were reasonable.

10/03/2026: We basically had "our bed in the kitchen." That took some getting used to. There are certainly alternatives in that lovely little town.
