30/08/2024: "Il bandierino" si trova in piazza Il Campo, ma ha un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Si va da insalate, aperitivi, a pizze, Piccola con l'aglione , filetto di maiale alla riduzione di passito, hamburger e tartare. Ma anche il risotto con gli scampi merita una citazione. Il servizio è veloce, simpatico ed accogliente. Ottima sosta a Siena

25/08/2024: Onze lievelingsbar aan piazza del Campo. Het was zalig zitten onder de vernevelaars. Steeds vriendelijk bediend geweest met meestal een lekker hapje bij de drankjes.

30/08/2024: This was an awesome dining experience for my wife and I. The view sitting on the terrace overlooking the hot spring and stone buildings was amazing. We ordered the tasting menu with wine pairing. We thought it was only 4 courses, but there was 7! Definitely worth the €99 each. Highly recommend!

03/09/2024: Don’t bother! We arrived, was shown to a table by the owners. The gentleman didn’t seem the friendliest of individuals but we gave him the benefit of the doubt. He was insistent that we could not move our table even slightly even though we couldn’t get into the table. Our server throughout the meal was lovely though. The meal arrived - a boar ragu and lasagne. It’s one of my favourite meals, particularly here in Italy so I was REALLY disappointed when a small portion of dry virtually meatless lasagne, smothered in béchamel sauce arrived. There was very little flavour, which was disappointing. Throughout our meal, the male owner was highly unprofessional, having a full blown argument with a family walking past. He then was insistently defending himself to the other customers. Lastly, when our bill arrived, they charged us €4 for what was clearly tap water. I have no problem with paying for bottled water, but that’s what I expect.

06/08/2024: Arriving by chance, we had a table on the terrace where the presence of a fan gave us a nice air! A special mention for the pasta, all of which we ordered, the spaghetti, deliciously spicy, the perfect truffle gnocchi, and the very, very good lasagna! To do without hesitation

16/08/2024: The restaurant scores with a good location and stylish ambience. But unfortunately that’s it for the positive aspects. Despite the empty terrace, we were assigned a seat in the stuffy indoor area, even though we were there early enough. The drinks came very late, and after waiting over an hour for the starter, we had to ask when it was coming. (the tables that arrived clearly after us had already received their food) The food was disappointing: bland, unimaginative and without sophistication. The main course, stuffed chicken, was cold and with a pepperoni that was obviously taken from the fridge. The only warm thing was the tasteless mashed potatoes. Despite a small price reduction, the evening was a complete disappointment, especially considering the Michelin recommendation.

29/08/2024: Wir hatten hausgemachte Bandnudeln mit Trüffeln und Butter. Köstlich. Dazu ein Glas Wein. Auch die Location war schön. Atmosphäre auf der Straße typisch toskanisch. Der Service angenehm und aufdringlich. Vielen Dank

20/08/2024: The food is good if you have time to wait for it to arrive. I'm sorry to report this criticism but with eight tables in a row, the waiting times I found myself facing were unacceptable, not only me but also the rest of the diners at the other tables. Over the course of an hour we were only served simple Tuscan crostini and crostini with lard and pecorino. After an hour and the constant thought of leaving, we were served pasta (fresh pasta that cooks for 5 minutes) and we informed the waiter that we were giving up the second courses. A real shame given the good quality of the ingredients but we really aren't there with the service, asking several times for orders to be taken or seeing two waitresses urgently cleaning the same table without it being occupied seems crazy to me, while I'm at it the people at the tables waiting.

11/07/2024: In realtà non abbiamo proprio mangiato.!!! Per 10 minuti di ritardo ci hanno chiamato e ci hanno annullato la prenotazione!! Inammissibile!!!! Ma che ristorante siete???? Pessimi!

06/07/2024: This restaurant came highly recommended so it might have been that our expectations were too high. We were warned that Albo the owner is a “character” and that is definitely true. Hard to say how much of the grumpiness is for show versus reality. Definitely did not appreciate our arriving without a reservation despite an empty restaurant that only grew to half full. The house special pici pasta in the pecorino wheel was very good. I wasn’t able to eat the filet of beef as it was too undercooked…despite my asking for it medium -well for which Albo gave me a hard time. Their house limoncello was a blend of fruity flavors that were delicious. I didnt love the hard sell of logod napkins departure. I would visit again if I was in the area but wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

12/07/2024: We stopped by chance and thank God we did!!! Truly excellent dishes, both the first courses and the desserts... friendliness and professionalism of the service... congratulations!!

27/07/2024: We often go to eat there, most of the time the food is good but at least 3 times we were disappointed. The pizzas are now very good but for today the tasteless sautéed mussels are full of oil, arriving 20 minutes after the pizzas. Service a little botched. They forgot to bring us a beer. I understand that it's Saturday but so the desire to go back goes away.

18/08/2024: I'm replying to the latest review on Tripadvisor to refute certain falsehoods written by a true keyboard lion: when the waiter (who I don't know if it's her) came to ask if everything was ok we said that the gnocchi were full of oil and the his answer was "yeah because I'm a bit..." no one knows what. Does she know? Let me know because I still don't understand. A person who works in a restaurant would have been happy to prove us wrong by saying for example that it is normal for a plate of gnocchi to be in a lake of oil, or that this is how they should be, but no, coincidentally there is no logical reason to this thing. After that, since there is the possibility of leaving reviews, I have every right to leave it and write what I want. First of all, I didn't insult anyone, so it seems to me that you have a long tail that is a few kilometers long and this makes you think a lot. I simply explained the reasons why I would never go back to a restaurant considering the food and the prices. I don't know if you know but a restaurant is evaluated precisely by these things. So no, dear Mr. Luca, writing a negative review does not mean being a keyboard lion. Have a good life

18/08/2024: In my opinion overrated. They had little variety of food, having only two pasta dishes, a simple pici and a Tagliatella al ragù that was not the best. The tiramisu for dessert has been one of the worst ever tried and it is worth charging for cutlery as in most places in Florence and surrounding areas but €3/person..... The service and atmosphere were good. Finally, it costs €37 for two pasta dishes, a water, the tiramisu and €6 for the cutlery...

10/08/2024: White Dog was our open bar caterer in our wedding, 4-5 months prior to our wedding we made our cocktails visiting their bar, made the list of spritz we want, they welcomed us so well, gave their reccomendations and we made our signature cocktails as bride and groom in their bar. Everything was delivered as promised on the day of the event, they were on time, with the bar stand, alcohol and cocktails we agreed on, fast service with great staff. Thank you so much for making our big day even more unforgettable or forgettable for some of our guests with your delicious cocktails :))
