26/12/2025: We stopped here on our way to Rome, and it was a wonderful discovery. The staff were friendly and helpful, the wood-fired pizza was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. We'll definitely be back!

04/03/2026: I dined at Lo Scarrozzo during a business trip and was truly satisfied. I started with an appetizer of Tuscan cured meats and cheeses, truly remarkable for the quality, freshness, and variety of ingredients. For my second course, I chose an excellent veal round with baked potatoes, perfectly cooked and very flavorful. Everything was carefully prepared and of high quality, and the price was absolutely in line with the offerings. The service was friendly and the atmosphere pleasant.

09/11/2025: Angelo is a sure thing! The wine cellar is exceptionally well-stocked, and the aperitifs are superb. In summer, the terrace overlooking the sea is beautiful. The staff is incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional. The perfect place to make a good impression with friends and for business meetings.

22/08/2025: A simple croissant and a cappuccino €4.20. The cappuccino was undrinkable, boiling hot, and the coffee was burnt. I think they re-frothed the milk 60 times because it actually made cream on the cup. By the way, the price displayed for the pastries was €1.50, but on the receipt it says €2. My friends had a juice and a sandwich for €7.50. The same goes for the sandwich, the price displayed was €3, but on the receipt it says €4. Bad!

26/10/2025: This morning I had an undrinkable coffee at this bar, over-extracted and therefore burnt. In the evening, I had an aperitif, which was also quite disappointing. The pastries were very inviting, although they must be good, but I can't comment. Overall, it's in a good location, spacious, and the bathroom was fairly clean.

30/09/2025: On Saturday, September 27, 2025, I visited the "Canapone" restaurant for the first time, dining practically in the heart of Grosseto's historic center. The service was truly remarkable, with a generously sized table for two and very comfortable chairs. I took the order in perfect time, and tried the "selection of cured meats" and the "paccheri alla pescatora," as well as the tagliatelle with rabbit ragù (I hadn't had hand-chopped ragù in ages, at least not because of the texture and cut of the meat). The welcome reception with homemade appetizers, simple yet delicious, was much appreciated. The price was not bad, considering I only ordered wine by the glass, not the bottle, and no main course or dessert. I will definitely be back to try the other dishes.

24/08/2025: A very pleasant restaurant in the center of Talamone. I had a 10-euro raw seafood appetizer. Then I had tagliolini with lobster, and that was also good, although it could have been richer in seafood. The service was good, although we waited quite a while for the main course. We chose two bottles of wine but were told they were out of stock, so we ordered a sparkling Ansonica, which was also good. Overall, recommended.

14/10/2025: A great stopover. The restaurant is located on the street and has an outdoor seating area overlooking the square, as well as an indoor dining area. In addition to sandwiches, it offers an excellent and refined menu featuring quality local products: we chose the tortello with Seggiano olive oil and pecorino cheese, the gnocchi with ragù, and the artisanal spaghetti with sausage and porcini mushrooms in white sauce. For a side, we chose fried porcini mushrooms, which were delicious. Service was a bit slow, but we weren't in a rush. The staff was friendly and helpful.

05/10/2025: A small restaurant with delicious food at a reasonable price. Mostly Italians dined there, with few tourists. The lady who took the order must have been having a bad day because she seemed unwelcome to tourists, but the pizza was delicious.

21/09/2025: At Carmen Bay, I'd had a lunchtime snack of fried seafood and a glass of white wine after swimming. I decided to come in the evening for dinner by the sea. The setting is more atmospheric during the day, although at night it's lovely to hear the sound of the sea while dining. The seafood is good; I had the marinated anchovies and spaghetti with clams, paired with a nice white wine. The fried foods are generally good, although sometimes you can tell the oil could use a change. The service is friendly but a bit rushed. It's worth it for the setting and the sea view, which is also reflected in the bill: €20 for a plate of spaghetti with clams.

12/01/2026: A hotel perched on the hill of one of the oldest villages in the Maremma, Vetulonia. An ancient Etruscan city. The rooms, dining room, and relaxation room overlook a breathtaking panorama. Its beautiful swimming pool invites you not only to dive into the water, but also to immerse yourself in the midst of unspoiled nature, where on the horizon you can admire the entire sea from Castiglione della Pescaia to the island of Giglio. The restaurant is highly regarded for its excellent cuisine, both fish and meat.

15/10/2025: We spent eight days in a stylishly located hotel, set atop a mountain in a charming historic town. The view from the hotel and the well-kept garden with pool is impressive and inviting. The restaurant also offers a wonderful panoramic view. The staff was consistently friendly and accommodating – we received a warm welcome. Our room was quiet and had a balcony. However, at approximately 12 square meters, it was quite small, as was the bathroom. For guests who need more space, we recommend booking a larger room. The parking lot is about 300 meters from the hotel. We booked half board. Dinner consisted of a set menu with two choices per course (starter, main course, dessert). Unfortunately, the dishes were repetitive during our stay, which was disappointing given the diversity of Italian cuisine. For future stays, we would forgo half board and instead take advantage of the culinary offerings in the surrounding towns. Unfortunately, the breakfast did not meet our expectations and differed significantly from the images on booking platforms. The buffet was very simple: mostly baguettes from the day before, fresh croissants, one type of sausage, and one type of cheese – with no variation throughout the week. This somewhat tarnished the otherwise positive overall impression. Overall, the hotel offers a fantastic location and a pleasant ambiance, but there is room for improvement in the dining area.

12/10/2025: Lovely hotel right on the sea with private beach areas. Good value evening meal and wine. Rooms very clean and very comfortable bed, but no balcony. Very small shower cubicle !Definitely will return.

30/09/2025: We spent one night at this hotel. Everything was perfect: the location, rooms, beds, sheets, sea view, and peace. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was plentiful. We'll definitely be back! The only downside, perhaps, was the beach. It's on a rock and not suitable for non-swimmers or children.

22/09/2025: We actually had a very good initial impression. However, after our main course, our plates took a very long time to clear. We then had to ask if it was possible to order dessert. Somehow, we had the feeling the staff wanted to close the kitchen as quickly as possible. What a pity! The restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of our accommodation, "Casa Vacanze Bicchi" in Scarlino, who also pointed out that the restaurant offers a 10% discount for guests staying at her accommodation. The restaurant didn't want to hear about this.
