Authentic dishes and local ingredients are the perfect combination for an excellent lunch. The restaurant is also part of a wonderful initiative to promote the local area, sponsored by the San Giovanni delle Contee Community Cooperative.

As a true Maremma native, I know tortelli well, but here they are truly superior! Everything is top-notch, including Laura, who pampers you and makes you feel at home. We'll definitely be back.

The cuisine is simply exceptional, with authentic flavors and generous portions. Each course showcases tradition, but with a pleasantly surprising twist. Everything was perfect, accompanied by excellent wines expertly recommended. It's one of those places you'll want to return to and recommend without hesitation to friends and family. 21/02/2026: If you're passing through Manciano, definitely stop at Trattoria Il Rifugio! The atmosphere is welcoming and familiar, and you'll immediately feel at home. The risotto is simply amazing, and the pappardelle with wild boar are spectacular, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The cod is delicious. The welcome was top-notch, Ilaria was incredibly kind and attentive. The dessert.....exquisite! A place to definitely return to! 🍷✨

The service was five-star, friendly and attentive, and the food itself was equally high quality and flavorful, as everyone at the table confirmed. The atmosphere was well-maintained, clean, and spacious. The price was reasonable for the quality of the dishes and the overall service.

As soon as we arrived from outside, they elegantly led us to our table; the food was truly high-quality and they brought it very quickly, with very polite and professional staff. I would return 1,000 times over! Dishes ordered: Saffron tortello and gnocco, two grilled Chianina beef fillets with roast potatoes, a honey and pine nut cheesecake, and a tiramisu (with a small appetizer served by them at the beginning and a pre-dessert).

16/11/2025: The rustic restaurant is perhaps a little dark, but overall, the decor is perfect. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. The waitress is always kind and ready to accommodate your every need. But the highlight of the restaurant is the food. One word: SUPERLATIVE... Everything was perfect...
