28/06/2025: Clean and quiet environment, familiar, as they say "alla buona", but the food is excellent. Traditional Tuscan menu with excellent steak, tender and cooked to perfection. Very good, of course, also the classic Mugello potato tortelli. More than adequate prices. I always gladly return. 2025. I am updating the review since in the meantime the restaurant-pizzeria has been completely renovated. The environments are very beautiful and well-kept, with a touch of refinement more than in the past. Always excellent service, as is the cuisine. I would like to point out, in addition to what has already been mentioned, the pizzas, truly exceptional both in terms of dough and filling, above all the digestibility is excellent. Congratulations to everyone, also for the friendliness. Well done!

13/05/2025: We are regular customers, it is a guarantee with a remarkable cost-quality ratio... we had pizza night for Mother's Day, pizzas as always tasty and super desserts... I recommend the pears and ricotta and the 7 chocolate dessert... to finish with the Marengo guarantee... highly recommended.

25/07/2025: Disgusting! Shameful and expensive for nothing

25/07/2025: If I can give you one piece of advice, don't make the same mistake I did and trust the Adelaide travel blog, which recommended it as one of the best restaurants in Florence. I went there on the first night of my stay. All I can tell you is that we ordered tagliatelle with zucchini and shrimp: a dish that was too salty with four shrimp dueling. I ordered spaghetti with cheese, nothing more basic, the pasta wasn't al dente, but raw. I sent the dish back to the kitchen, asked for an extra truffle as a gesture of goodwill, which I was charged for (the dish went from 19 euros to 33 euros). The worst part is that they brought us two appetizers before the meal, which we were charged 3.50 euros for, even though we hadn't asked for anything! Let's not even mention the stale bread and 7-euro Coke. I didn't know we were on the Champs-Élysées! Avoid this, it's the last restaurant I recommend in Florence!

20/04/2025: Pasé a almorzar y fue sorprendido por la selección de vinos y los increíbles quesos. Pedí el plato de queso y dejémoslos recoger los quesos. (¡Conocen el queso!) Es un lugar agradable y casual que toma la comida en serio. Volveré.

10/04/2025: Vinimos aquí por recomendación y nos quedamos tan impresionados! Antonio hizo un trabajo increíble de cuidar de nosotros, explicando todo en detalle para hacer nuestra visita especial. Todo lo que probamos fue increíble! ¡Los quesos! Wow! Honestamente fue difícil elegir un favorito. También tuvimos el foie gras y algunos otros artículos junto con vino fabuloso! Pintoresco entorno lejos de multitudes. ¡Recomiendo encarecidamente una visita! No nos fuimos hambrientos, estaba delicioso.

31/08/2025: This place has the look of a typical old-fashioned bar, the kind that has sadly given way to lounges and the like. We stopped for a coffee ☕ before heading to Firenzuola, sitting outside at one of the tables along the main road (the former Strada statale 610 Selice or Montanara Imolese, to be precise). The stretch of road where this establishment is located is very picturesque; a few meters ahead, in fact, a bridge over the Santerno River marks the border between the municipalities of Firenzuola and Castel del Rio (and therefore also between two different provinces and regions), all in the splendid landscape of the Santerno valley. If I'm not mistaken, there should also be rooms 🛏 for overnight stays on site. In any case, the coffee is good 😋 ☕ (also on the menu for only 1 euro 💶) and the owner is kind 👩🏻. Across the street, a small parking lot 🅿️ offers a few parking spaces 🚘. RECOMMENDED 👍. 24/08/2025: Those old-fashioned places. We arrived at 3 and the gentleman made us two delicious sandwiches. One was even vegetarian. After a long service on a Sunday after August 15th, he was still quick and friendly (in his own way) and kept us entertained. People were playing cards outside. Great!

24/06/2025: There is an important distinction to be made: the terrace above the restaurant for eating on the spot and the butcher's shop below... In order the Terrace. Rating 5 stars!!! Really nice; few seats in a very intimate atmosphere with which even without wanting to you find yourself talking to the people next to you. You order and are served via a freight elevator, there is no staff between the tables. You take your wine, your drinks, set yourself up and eat in this truly typical Tuscan place. Excellent platters and fantastic tartare, refined flavors and a little different for those who want to dare, otherwise the classic recipes. The prices are from the center of Florence so high but at least you feel good and it is money well spent. Great idea and excellent management. Butcher's shop rating ZERO. I have been an occasional customer for a long time and they ripped me off. 2 kg of steak (not even Chianina at that) at the frightening price of 90 euros (raw at the counter just cut I mean, not cooked and served to eat). I paid for it there and then except to realize later what I had actually been asked for. In hindsight I should have left it there, smiled and left. Unfortunately I was distracted at the time and... I don't know if 45 euros per kg is a "fair" price for tourists, it remains a value completely out of the market. In principle as a butcher's shop it's not bad, I don't go there often because it's not a good quality-price ratio, the times I went there they never thrilled me but in any case nothing negative to report. As for the story of the steak, however, I was so disappointed that I stopped going for lunch too... very bad guys, too bad...

26/06/2025: I didn't find it very good. I didn't find anything exceptional. But that's my opinion. Prices a bit too high compared to the dishes. Service not very convincing in explaining the dishes. If you sell special sake (24€ 50cl), the menu must be very clear, not with numbers that are barely legible. But above all, special sakes need to be talked about. In conclusion, the place lacks communication with customers.

18/07/2025: We had a very pleasant lunch on the terrace. Excellent service and even better food. We ordered pizza and calzone, and tiramisu for dessert. Everything was delicious.

Excellent cured meats, including mortadella with truffle and venison ham, as well as the bread and the fragrant and light schiacciata, excellent selection of wines. I really appreciate the variety of dough options, including regular and gluten-free, with the option of lactose-free mozzarella, demonstrating great customer service. 26/07/2025: Found it by chance, and I must say it was a coincidence... I stopped for lunch with my daughter. We had a pacchero, a tagliata, a dessert, water, wine, and coffee for €48. The location is truly beautiful, in a castle in the Florentine countryside. As for the food, nothing to complain about. The pacchero with ragù was good, as was the meat. The cheesecake could be better. If I really had to find a flaw, it's the menu that's unclear, and there's no way to see the prices. Anyway, it was beautiful and delicious. I'd gladly return.
