24/10/2025: They are number 1!! I've been to several Brazilian restaurants around Italy but so far none at the level of Rio Grande in Florence. I've been there about twenty times and every time I've had a great time. For about 35 euros you can eat all you want. Very rich buffet!!! Of everything and more!! Fejoada, fried bananas, fried plantains, rice with raisins, the fantastic caramelized pumpkin, Russian salad, cheese sandwiches and many other things. Then the flag is raised and they start bringing out many cuts of meat with the famous picanha. Top drinks. Their capirinhas are exceptional. Also strong so be careful not to overdo it😅. The whole show is completed with dancers and a show with bolas. In short, a spectacle.
28/09/2025: Owners Alberto and Mingo have brought Brazil to Florence! The quality of the meat is EXCELLENT and the staff is very friendly and professional!

09/10/2025: The bread is a few days old. I ordered a bresaola carpaccio with grana. Carpaccio as I understand it, nothing at all. Very little marinated and it was just ham and cheese, with a tiny drop of oil.
Today, after a few days in Italy, I ordered a toasted grappa. It tastes like cork, I guess they had it open for a long time.
But like everything, the first impression in a restaurant can be wrong. When I go back to Florence, I will repeat. I don't like to give bad reviews, you always have to try again!

13/08/2025: We're still waiting for the pizzas, an endless wait, considering we were among the first ones there. Once we've finished our beer, we go look for a place to eat. I don't think we'll be able to eat here 🤷🏼♀️. But no, just before we left, the pizzas arrived. What a bummer!!! It would have been better to leave. Not recommended.

06/12/2025: We ate here on a Saturday for lunch because it was one of the few places without huge lines at the entrance, and we were so surprised!
Maybe it's not very well-known yet, which is why it wasn't crowded, but I highly recommend it.
We had a centerpiece appetizer and various first courses (ravioli with butter and sage, tagliatelle with ragù, gnocchi with provola and speck, and spaghetti with truffle and sausage sauce), all very, very good!
The service was also super attentive and courteous.
We paid an average of €25 per person, so I'd say it's super fair.
I recommend it!! 👌🏻
28/11/2025: We ate at this lovely place just steps from the center. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. The experience of assembling the platter, cutting the meat and seasoning it with oil, salt, and pepper right at the table, in front of the guests, was truly enjoyable. Highly recommended.

27/10/2025: I order four pastries and they give me one price, then a few days later they give me another. Another time, I ask for three pastries to go and they give me two without me noticing. The staff is completely uncoordinated, the pastries are expensive and barely edible! I won't go back even if they gave them to me for free!
