13/09/2025: Excellent food, unique flavors, moderate prices. Welcoming staff, excellent service. Quick service, relaxed atmosphere. The house wine was very good, and the first course with wild boar ragù was delicious. The wild boar was homemade. And all this with a beautiful view of the square. Highly recommended.

26/05/2025: For the type of service provided (or not provided), the environment, and the location, this establishment seems to me to be among the most disproportionately expensive in Florence. The quality is not high enough to justify the prices.

14/08/2025: I booked through the app, they gave me availability, they also sent me an email the day of the reservation to remind me that I had a table reserved for that evening and then they were closed for holidays... CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Ps: last but not least they also asked me for my opinion and thanked me for staying with them (???) and hoped, jokes, that the experience was unforgettable. Yes, it was... Unforgettable...

13/10/2025: I used to come here occasionally for coffee and breakfast. The last time I was there, I ordered a Double Espresso. They charged me €2.60 for two espressos. Having lived in Italy for over a decade, a double espresso is usually around €1.80 for one espresso plus a few cents. They really thought I was a tourist from China. What's the point of ripping me off like that? I gave it a 5-star review, but it was a waste.

02/10/2025: The food is what it is for obvious reasons, but the special features of this place are the 30-minute wait and the fact that you're forced to eat standing up because there are too few tables. The staff is minimal and incapable of managing even 20 people inside at once.

16/08/2025: I ask for Lemonsoda and get an 18cl Schweppes...standing for €3.50. What can I say? I noticed, and the waitress responded without sympathy. The desserts are good, but the service could be improved.

12/03/2025: Cantinetta Allegri closed with COVID.. BUT YOU MUST GO TO THE NEW RESTAURANT THAT IS IN ITS PLACE! Trattoria Maga Mago. Excellent. Local. Not super touristic! Food that is in season. Excellent family owned -chef and service! Carciofi, tagliatelli, and caccio pepe today. We'll go back again this week. The portions were plenty big (in response to old review of the previous business)

17/07/2025: The pizza by the slice is very good, well-filled and flavorful. The ham and cheese filling is superb, with a crispy crust. There's a few tables outside under a small veranda, or a couple of high-top stools inside. Prices are fairly reasonable, and the size of the pieces isn't standard, but you can customize it.

22/09/2025: Paid for an espresso but was told I couldn’t sit down with it… had to stand to drink my espresso when all but one table was taken. Bizarre!

16/09/2025: Terrible!! They forbade us from playing a game of UNO while we were drinking our coffees.

As a tourist, I felt truly humiliated in this bar. The female owner kicked us out. I thought I was just tired after a long day of traveling, so on a friend's recommendation, we came here to have a coffee and rest for a while. I didn't expect to fall asleep on the chair, but then the owner came and told us we couldn't sleep in front of the shop. Was it because we embarrassed her? Did she feel ashamed? I never expected such an unpleasant attitude from a bar owner. We were customers, we paid for our drinks—so what if we accidentally fell asleep? What a ridiculous owner. As a tourist, I felt truly humiliated in this bar. The female owner kicked us out. 03/09/2025: Small but very pleasant Ocal. A good breakfast at a very reasonable price. Very good service, and especially the cappuccino and croissant were delicious. Highly recommended.

06/08/2025: Never on time and no mention of minutes........ They have to call back several times then maybe it arrives........ CRAZY.

19/07/2025: Leaving aside the pizza, which isn't the worst I've ever eaten, but it's close, I ordered at 7:55 PM and the two pizzas arrived at 9:15 PM (I live really close by). But it didn't end there: the delivery man, after delivering the pizzas, complained that he'd have to ring the doorbell again so I could reopen the gate for him on his way out, exclaiming, "What a shitty place!" and walking away annoyed. I was shocked.

08/06/2025: To forget! We ordered two roasts, a salad, and a bottle of water for €38, paid by debit card. The receipt was €20. The price list for a roast was €12. We pointed out that the bill wasn't right, but the owner insisted, saying it was correct. Shame on you.

16/07/2025: Good pizza, a variety of choices, and friendly staff in the heart of Empoli. Reasonable prices. I recommend it.

25/05/2025: Very accommodating for large groups! We were a group of 11 & they sat us with no problems. The drinks are solid & the food is good & it’s located in a lively square.

25/05/2025: New owners since ca 2 years. Not like the old Cabiria. No house wine, the cheapest wine was a red that cost 30€ We wanted to sit outside, but the rain was so violent that we had to move inside. The stench from, I guess the sewage system, was horrid. But at the end of the day, the staff was very nice and the food was great, a bit on the exspensive side.
