27/09/2025: A bar on the way through and like every bar on the way through from the main road you see a large sign that says "first courses". I stop wanting to eat a first course, well, almost incredulously it tells me "only sandwiches". Well, change the sign.

27/10/2025: Zeb operates on a first come first serve basis at lunch time, which is fortunate because I imagine they are often booked out far in advance for the dinner hours. Needless to say, whether you’re walking in or booking ahead, aim to be early. Our party of three was among the first to arrive, and we were promptly seated. One should note that there is no bad seating at Zeb. The counter style seating arrangement ensures that all diners have a similar experience — which begins with Chef Alberto taking your wine order and going through the day’s menu. At this point, I feel compelled to mention that we found Chef Alberto to be nothing short of welcoming and pleasant. I can’t imagine him being otherwise — unless, perhaps, one were to request a substitution, which would understandably be frustrating given how deliberately his menu is composed each day. Regretfully, I did not get any pictures of the meal for this review, but that’s because I was so absorbed by the Pici al Ragu di Manzo in front of me, and later the Trippa alla Fiorentina — both of which were perfect. To end, I’ll simply recommend that you trust the Michelin Guide, which has consistently included Zeb in its yearly Bib Gourmand list. And as for the food itself — trust Chef Alberto; he knows exactly what belongs on the plate.

26/10/2025: I planned my trip specifically so I could have lunch here. I even tried to make a reservation, but the lady who answered the phone assured me it wasn’t necessary for lunch. When a restaurant is mentioned in the Michelin Guide, people naturally go out of their way to experience it. We waited for an hour and a half by the entrance, only to discover the place never opened. The issue isn’t that you didn’t open — it’s that you didn’t care enough about customers to inform that something had come up and service would be unavailable ( checked Insta, Facebook and website)

27/07/2025: Sunday lunchtime is a nice place, the food is authentic, the staff are friendly, the prices are fair, and the portions are generous. As a top local restaurant, we'll be back.

14/09/2025: I've been a customer for years, but recently the quality of the products has changed significantly. Today I got a tray of takeout pastries, and they were terrible. The chocolate cream puffs had a filling that I thought was expired; it tasted sour, so sour I had to throw it away. The cream puffs with whipped cream, on the other hand, had a hard pastry, obviously having been there for a few days. I'm sorry, because you're close to my house, which is very convenient. I was even willing to buy despite your price increases, but after this episode, I won't buy again for fear of eating expired products.

13/11/2025: The waitress and owner were very welcoming. I recommend the Buffalo Camembert sprinkled with fresh truffles.

05/11/2025: This restaurant is famous for its truffle dishes, so we visited with high expectations. However, we were utterly disappointed. We ordered the white truffle pasta for €54, expecting freshly shaved truffles as advertised and shown in photos. Instead, the dish was topped with nothing but a few tiny truffle crumbs—hardly what we paid for. It felt like a complete rip-off. Don’t be fooled by the hype; save your money and go somewhere that values honesty and quality.

18/07/2025: This place is absolutely fabulous, with very few tourists in the area. We stayed in the local area and visited 3 times! Filippo is a legend, and helped us buy a few local Italian wines as well as some of his own wines, with such passion and enthusiasm. We decided to come back as a group and taste many of his handmade red wines, which were all fantastic and affordable! Would absolutely recommend stopping by if you're nearby!

29/11/2025: Great steaks and pasta. Service was a bit slow, albeit we were there during peak dinner hours.

28/11/2025: A restaurant with meticulous attention to detail and impeccable service. The waiters are attentive to every guest's needs and find the perfect way to please. The cured meats are top-quality, but the Florentine steak, in particular, is truly spectacular. I recommend it for an intimate lunch or dinner!

09/08/2025: Punctual and precise service, excellent selection of Menabrea on tap. The pizza is thin but flawless.
