04/09/2025: I had dinner at Trattoria Il Saraceno and had a great time. The place is welcoming, the staff friendly, and the service fast. The homemade tortelli were excellent, as was the tender braised beef in Barolo. Good value (about €40 per person). I'd love to return.

02/09/2025: Found this restaurant while wandering around Arezzo. Wonderful food, service excellent. Only one downside the menu was in a very old font and was difficult to read. We nearly moved on. When inside we did use the QR code which was easier to read.

20/06/2025: Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. We arrived shortly after opening with no reservation. The restaurant is huge and decorated very nicely giving it a cosy feel. The service was kind, friendly and super attentive. Ordering was fun and fast on the table iPads, with English translation. The food was incredible! We tried a wide variety of dishes and all were super tasty, packed full of flavor - delicious! Highly recommend!

12/08/2025: Found one of the few open after a visit to Mondo Convenienza... nice place, good waiter... I tried the steak menu for 30 euros... I thought I was going to get ripped off... instead: appetizer of cured meats and cheeses, excellent side salad, a nice dish... Florentine steak, 1.2 kg, very tender, it melted... I still can't believe it... if I pass by here I'll definitely come back

14/08/2025: A nice place to stay cool and eat well. We had the schiacciata con ham (a type of flatbread) which was really good, along with the delicious desserts. The price was more than reasonable. I recommend arriving early; we arrived around 1:00 PM. There wasn't much schiacciata left, but there was still plenty of food, as well as the pizza, which looked really good.

13/08/2025: What a shame! After an hour and a half's walk from Vallombrosa, we arrived at 12:15 PM and the salty food was already sold out. I recommend it for a hearty breakfast, but I wouldn't recommend stopping for lunch.

02/09/2025: Pizza is available by the slice, with the option of ordering mixed trays. The pizza is easy to digest and truly tasty.

27/06/2025: There was a huge selection, they were constantly refilling the various flavors, and the trays were selling like hotcakes... great taste, great price... The hot dog is amazing (the photo only shows our selection!!!!!!)

12/09/2025: Something wonderful! We stopped in the town center looking for these sweets, and the cream inside was a mistake. We arrived at Pasticceria Macchioni and found this wonder, made on site. The cream is like a milky cloud, with a natural cream aroma, not the chemicals found in some places. I highly recommend it, and the coffee is delicious too! Don't miss this place!

31/08/2025: Top pastry shop, very nice lady at the cash register, and then...."the blond who drives the world crazy", the added value, it seems to have come out of a Tarantino film, it seems serious, but don't stop at the first impression 😉

25/08/2025: I had lunch yesterday at the restaurant of this somewhat "old-fashioned" hotel with my husband. I had fond memories of a tasty, very local, and very authentic dinner there, which we'd stumbled upon almost by chance a few years ago. Yesterday's lunch confirmed everything: homemade stuffed pasta—they present it as tortelloni, though they're actually large spinach and ricotta ravioli—full-bodied yet delicate, topped with butter and thyme; fettuccine with porcini mushrooms, perhaps a little thin but delicious and, above all, with fresh porcini mushrooms (for days, elsewhere, always in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, we'd been served dishes made with frozen mushrooms...), a fact confirmed by the excellent porcini mushrooms I had for my second course. If there's any criticism to be made here, it's Mother Nature, who recently has been frequently producing boletus edulis in miniature sizes compared to the ones we were used to a few years ago, not to mention the cost of larger "creatures," which would force the restaurateur to charge significantly for a dish featuring them as a primary ingredient. Returning to our lunch experience yesterday, the wild boar my husband chose was also excellent, accompanied by small tiles of fried polenta. We finished with a portion of delicate tiramisu, also made by the kitchen. The food was delicious, but also healthy—and how we realized this a few hours later, having digested it all without any difficulty!—the fair bill and the owner's gracious courtesy made a brighter day on a rainy and stormy day. One final comment: the restrooms, located one floor below the restaurant, were impeccably clean, as were the dining room, table linens, and crockery. Bravo!

30/07/2025: Certainly, considering it's the only hotel in the area, it's clean, has everything you need, is centrally located, accessible by car and public transport, and includes breakfast. It could offer more if it had more competition, but the owner certainly knows how to deal with customers and always tries to find a solution.

15/08/2025: Place 3 was nice, the quality of the ingredients was obviously good, and the wine prices were fair. Except they served me a well-done steak... And honestly, I was pissed. You can't ruin meat like that. But we didn't feel like making a mess; we were with a group of friends, and the atmosphere was very lively after a long time without seeing each other. That's how it went, no problem. However, it must be said that the service isn't very friendly either; in fact, they try to be friendly, even too much in my opinion. Even less would be fine.

15/08/2025: We've been going there for over 10 years when I return from Milan to my native Maremma. We've always had excellent lunches and dinners there at reasonable prices. This August 2025, however, we've been there three times in a row, and on all three occasions, we've eaten beyond the pale and at ridiculous prices. We'll return if it was just the owner's August madness...

05/08/2025: We were a party of 5 adults and 2 children. No reservation, but we got a table. Thin crust pizza (which i don't particularly enjoy). Topping was good, but not "classical" Italian.
