We went here for lunch. This place, right next to the supermarket caught our eye. Filled with locals, we decided to try it out. My God were we happy we did.. 15/10 for food. 10/10 for service. 10/10 for atmosphere. 100% recommended

07/07/2026: We dined at this traditional trattoria two nights in a row. The location is rustic and quaint. Giacomo, the owner, was super welcoming and helpful. The food was excellent! Must try!
02/07/2026: A delightful summer dinner al fresco. Excellent cheese and cured meat platters, delicious grilled meats. The homemade desserts and truffle ice creams are also not to be missed. A tasting of fine local wines. Highly recommended!

13/06/2026: We dined at Il Pirata at the recommendation of a dear cured meat supplier. We were looking for a quality restaurant to enjoy a well-made Cacciucco. At Il Pirata, we found excellence in every way. From the beautiful venue, both indoors and outdoors, to the very kind staff, the excellent food, the carefully sourced raw materials, all our dishes were consistently above our expectations. The Cacciucco is made exactly like our grandmothers used to make. If you pass through Follonica, definitely dine at this restaurant. You'll take home a memory you'll definitely want to share. Thanks to Stefano, his adorable son, and all the staff.
