03/10/2025: What can I say? You might just happen to find a family-run trattoria in the truest sense of the word. I don't know where to begin with my praise. Let's start with the welcome we received, both to us and to our little Golden Retriever, Windofsand, who yells. Then we move on to the simple yet carefully prepared and, above all, excellent dishes. We had tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and truffle and lard. Amazing. As a chef, I compliment the chef at Stambata. Then we moved on to fried porcini mushrooms and local prosciutto with excellent burrata. And finally, the house tiramisu was truly amazing. The owners and staff were truly friendly. As for the price...you have to go and eat to see how much you're spending. Truly fair; the quality, quantity, and price ratio is the winning formula. We'll definitely be back. Oh, and if you haven't figured out, besides the good food, they're animal lovers...this isn't a biased review, but a sincere one. Thanks again, also for the lovely chat after dinner. 24/09/2025: Trassilico is a small village nestled in the mountains of Garfagnana, in the Serchio Valley, a hamlet of the Municipality of Gallicano. You don't pass through Trassilico on your way from one place to another. You go through Trassilico. There's one road that leads to the village and the same one that takes you back down to the valley. Just 20 families live there year-round. It's a place for those who love the mountains, with their fogs and the sound of the wind that winds through the gorges and slopes. The area is rich in privately owned chestnut groves, black oak, larch, and mountain fir. The road to get there is winding and narrow; a moderate pace and careful driving are recommended, and it's helpful to "make yourself heard" before the bends. Crossing with other vehicles can be problematic. In some places, the road is narrowed due to construction work and landslide containment structures. From Gallicano to Trassilico, it takes a good 40-50 minutes by car. But it's worth it. The locals are hospitable and welcoming to those who show respect and politeness. Noise of any kind is welcome.

Each bite has an authentic and well-balanced flavor, and the dough is soft yet light. They have a wide selection of unique flavors and combinations, all worth trying. The place is well-kept and the staff are friendly, a true guarantee for those who love pizza made properly!

25/09/2025: This bar is in an excellent location with a large outdoor area, where it's pleasant to stop and chat in peace. We can't comment on the food because we only had coffee, but the welcome was warm and very helpful. Finally, the restrooms were very clean, which is always a nice touch. Well done!

13/10/2025: It's not my first time here, but I remember they used to only have pizza, but now they have appetizers, first courses, and second courses. Thick pizza, excellent dough, and good. Prices are okay. The only disappointment was the roast beef, which was actually just roast beef. Otherwise, we had a great time.

13/10/2025: This location is highly recommended. Yes, it's not a 5-star hotel, but from this location, all of Tuscany and more are within easy reach. Everything you need for a stay is provided and more than adequate. The hospitality, however, is 5+ stars. The staff is extremely helpful, and the food is truly fantastic. Driving up the mountain takes some getting used to if you're not used to Italian cuisine ;) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return on our next visit to Italy.

18/09/2025: Beautiful place, wonderful atmosphere, and excellent service. If you're looking to spend a nice day with family or friends, this is the perfect place. There are two lakes, a small restaurant with a bar, both indoor and outdoor space, and excellent, very tasty food. We had a starter of coccoli (fabulous), and a first course of ravioli with ragù and tagliata, all excellent and reasonably priced. You can rent a fishing rod and spend time fishing in peace. We caught two fish, and the kids were very excited. At the bottom of the lake, there's a barbecue area with ready-made settings and tables. We'll definitely be back to try the barbecue area. The suspension bridge is also worth a visit, with its excellent view and fantastic experience. I highly recommend this place.

05/11/2025: This everything you want in romantic out of the way italian cafe for lunch. The food and wine were good, but the setting, classical music playing, italian courtyard decorated with sculptures and the paintings on the ceiling of the portico, just lovely. Relaxing and gentile.

13/09/2025: Only 2 stars because we based our choice of a place for a week's stay on these reviews and were very, very disappointed with the breakfast. 300 euros per night and the same every day, plus an additional 6 euros for an omelet or soft-boiled egg. The lunch selection was also very average. We only ate once. Dinner was also decent, but that was about it. It's better to go to the nearby towns.

10/08/2025: A perfect dinner. The view is spectacular, the food delicious, and the service attentive, friendly but not intrusive. Everything was excellent; I highly recommend it if you're in the area. My favorite dishes were the Pappardelle with venison and porcini mushrooms and the peach and thyme tarte tatin with vanilla ice cream.

05/11/2025: An excellent experience! The venue is charming and meticulously maintained, ideal for a special evening. The cuisine is top-notch: the rib-eye steak was simply delicious, and the pasta dish was also exquisite. The service was impeccable and professional, without a single flaw. Highly recommended! We'll be back soon to try the rest of the menu.
