23/11/2025: Today Giorgio really put me on edge...CANNOLI OR SFINCIA...?!?!? Today my wife and I returned to Piana with the intention of enjoying Giorgio Clesceri's wonderful cannoli... As soon as we entered the simple and welcoming shop, after greeting Giorgio and his wife, I immediately and decisively asked Giorgio to fill a cannoli shell for me and... Just seeing, through the small window overlooking the shop's workshop, how much ricotta he was adding and how much was a real pleasure. In the meantime, my wife had been drawn to some SFINCIE and... realizing she was about to... betray... the cannoli to get the SFINCIA... I was shocked because once there, it's unacceptable for me not to enjoy the best cannoli I've ever eaten... we reached a compromise... We had it put on the menu and enjoyed it later. Well... after lunch, we opened the precious wrapping and cut that... ricotta hill in two... A SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!! The filling was soft and devoid of any fried aftertaste, and the ricotta, while superb as in the cannoli, was in industrial quantities inside and out... WHAT A TRAGEDY!!!!!!! NEXT TIME HOW WILL WE CHOOSE BETWEEN... SFINCIA AND CANNOLI???!!!!

25/10/2025: Small bakery in a tiny town but with great flavors and outstanding friendliness. Despite us not speaking Italian and the baker not speaking any English we communicated with friendly handgestures and smiles. Can highly recommend eating here. The drive through nature to town is worth it and so are the pastries

27/09/2025: Typical and welcoming place. Quick and friendly staff and service. Disappointing food. Sardine meatballs with a coarse and poorly mixed mixture, the sardines were not boned. Fried food was greasy and salty. Too bad.

06/12/2025: Wonderful evening. The family-run restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and, although not very large, is very welcoming. The food is excellent, with generous portions and top-quality ingredients carefully crafted. The service is attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The result: a very satisfying dinner. Fairly priced. Highly recommended!

14/11/2025: A great experience, a welcoming place unlike any other, with friendly staff and a family atmosphere. Fresh pasta and top-quality ingredients make it a must-try whenever I'm in the area. The creamy burrata, pistachio, and speck sauce, and the pasta with sardines are excellent. I'll definitely be back to try the rest.

31/10/2025: Great wine, chilled red (rossato), a the female staff was really warm and welcoming and helped me with my wine choice so I came back the next day - some staff are more tolerant of English speakers than others.

19/10/2025: My husband and I stumbled upon this bar by chance, and it ended up being our favorite spot of the whole trip! The vibe was incredible — there was an after-work crowd across the street, every table was full, cars could barely get through — it was chaotic in the best way. We each had a Negroni and then a lager, both great. The atmosphere was so lively and local, and there were even families with kids, so it felt really welcoming. Highly recommend for the amazing ambiance and energy — you won’t regret it!

11/11/2025: One of the three best pizzas I've ever had!!! The best in Simirione, and this one is probably on par with the pizza in Naples. It tastes amazing, has delicious buffalo cheese, and that basil! And the dough! It's amazing! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Palermo. Plus, the service is fast and the owner is friendly 😊

11/10/2025: I ended up at Gustoriana in Mondello "just for a drink"... and of course I didn't want to leave. The Long Island was so well made I started to think I was in Miami (spoiler: I was still in Mondello, but happy anyway). The owner is a rare kindness—the kind who makes you laugh while serving you, and in the end you find yourself toasting with him as if you'd been friends forever. Perfect place for those looking for good cocktails, good company, and a healthy dose of Sicilian irony.

06/10/2025: One of the best, if not the best, ice cream I've ever had. A huge selection of flavors, several toppings to choose from, the option to top it with white or dark chocolate, or whipped cream, cones with sprinkles or chocolate—it's simply an ice cream extravaganza 😀. A very large portion for 3 euros, and you can mix two flavors. There's also a version in a brochette—ice cream in a roll. Very friendly service. It's just a shame they don't ship to Poland 😉 I recommend it!!

05/12/2025: I ordered a capricciosa pizza, and it's nothing like Italian pizza! Lots of low-quality ingredients. The place was practically empty, we had to wait until the lady came to clean at least one table—they were all dirty 😳. And then there's the coperto—really, even in a bar like this 😞, €8 for a pie and €1.50 for a coperto—I don't recommend it! Avoid it! You don't understand! It's not expensive for an €8 pizza—it's actually cheap! But this isn't Italian pizza. Check out my reviews. I had a pizza in Catania the day before, and the pizza was delicious. Coperto—everywhere in the world, they serve napkins, cutlery, and a tablecloth 😂—you don't have to pay 20% for service that left much to be desired. A tip worldwide is a guest's choice for good service. After entering, we waited a long time with menus, and no one cleared the tables, and all the tables were dirty. We were about to leave, terrified by the indifference of the staff. My wife gave up eating. I ordered one to try, and it was very good. The pizza was ordinary, not Italian or Sicilian flavors. Smell the olive oil they serve—it stinks 🥹. Poor pizza 🍕!

02/12/2025: Very kind staff, excellent pastries, I took two Panettone ( Italian dessert for Christmas time ) I had a taste ( there is an outside space to do it ) of pandoro with pistacchio cream and a very good coffee. Absolutely delicious
