Pasticceria Porta Sant'Agata is a true gem in Palermo. Everything I've tasted has been incredibly fresh and delicious. You can sense the passion and attention to detail. The cannoli deserve a special mention: simply exceptional, probably among the best in the city. I highly recommend this pastry shop to anyone who wants to try authentic Sicilian desserts.

We stumbled upon this place almost by accident. We had breakfast with an iris, a braided pastry, and a swirl: incredibly delicious, with a freshness rarely found these days. Unfortunately, we weren't able to try the deli or other sweets, but the selection in the window was vast and inviting. The place is small, authentic, and always busy, but the staff were incredibly kind and courteous, despite the chaos of January 6th. Beyond the quality, what amazed us were the prices: incredibly fair, I'd say unmatched elsewhere for such a high standard. We couldn't resist taking two Genovesi home with us; the lady was very attentive, asking if we needed to travel so she could choose the most suitable packaging and protect the sweets during transit. Such exceptional customer service. If I were to return to Palermo, this would be my very first stop, to be sure of authentic flavors. A little gem run with kindness. Highly recommended!
