13/08/2025: AVOID THIS PLACE, FORGOTTEN BY GOD AND HONESTY, THEY WILL DISAPPOINT YOU BIG TIME...!!! We stopped in Palermo for a memorable evening in this place known many years ago, where you would queue for hours to get in, where we met the parents and even the grandparents of the current manager...... And where the dishes were exquisite...!! Our disappointment, regret and displeasure was enormous.. The empty place, the tables without tablecloths, at the table only the children and grandchildren of the manager... We asked for a glass of wine and he showed up with a bottle of "Intrigato", he "recommended" some indefinable cod and octopus appetizers, served in two mini bowls and spaghetti with squid ink obviously diluted with water who knows how many times... We didn't have the heart to tell him that the food served was truly pitiful, in fact worse..but only for the memory of his poor ancestors.. When it was time to pay the manager however asked us with shameless arrogance 90 euros!!!! Ninety euros!!!! For 2 mini appetizers and 2 plates of spaghetti!!! The bottle of Intrigato 26 euros!!!! His ancestors, grandparents, parents will be turning in their graves for this blatant affront to common sense, an offense to all honest restaurateurs of Palermo, but above all an offense to the exceptional renowned Sicilian culinary art that tonight has suffered a bad blow from this improvised and dishonest menage of self-styled "restaurateurs".. We are sorry dear "owner" ... but you really asked for it with your disrespectful behavior for your ancestors ... and for us!! Anna and Antonino

18/08/2025: The food was truly amazing. I think he could charge a lot more for the quantity and quality of the food. The service was very, very good, courteous, and attentive. If this hadn't been my last evening here, I would definitely have come back. Highly recommended!

18/08/2025: A nice place with a lovely atmosphere and a beautiful view. The only drawback is that you can't get there by car; you have to climb a few steps, which isn't easy for older people. Tasty food.

21/08/2025: I have to say, this ice cream shop was a real discovery! You can choose from so many flavors (even for those with lactose intolerance!), and when you're served, the brioche is filled with ice cream. The prices are also really great, which is great.

21/07/2025: We stumbled upon this little café by chance, and we were honestly amazed. The service was incredibly kind, the pastries were absolutely delicious, and the prices — almost unbelievable (two people, and the bill was only €10!). We stayed in Palermo for just three days, but I’m so glad we spent two of them coming back to this lovely place. A heartfelt recommendation to everyone — don’t miss it!

26/07/2025: A beautiful place located in the Palermo side streets. The beer was excellent, and the sandwiches were even better. The staff was incredibly friendly. My boyfriend and I went early on a Friday night, so we had plenty of seating to choose from.

16/07/2025: This place was our saving grace! We have been traveling all over Italy for a month and have eaten at some really delicious places, but we’re craving some good meat, since we’ve mostly been eating pasta and fish everywhere. Minas Tirith - Irish Pub has very fresh and tasty food and was affordable. I ordered an Easy Burger with bacon and it was cooked to perfection. I also enjoyed the onion rings and mozzarella sticks. The hubby got a dish with sausage, chicken wings, steak, and grilled chicken. He thoroughly enjoyed it. The waitress was extremely sweet and attentive and we loved the atmosphere. Highly recommend!!!

29/08/2025: The waiter and his service were correct, although he always tried to tailor the order to his liking, not ours. We ordered a mixed fried food, which only had three items: squid, baby squid, some calamari similar to squid, and two prawns (just in case we overindulged), and they weren't hot like they were freshly fried. We also ordered swordfish, which was acceptable, and a caponatta, which is more like an eggplant salad with tomato sauce and other ingredients. It was the tastiest thing we had. The price was reasonable, but I've eaten in much better places for the same thing.

07/07/2025: Our private dinner with Andrea in Palermo was truly one of the best experiences of our trip. His space was bright, artfully decorated, and full of charm. Andrea was a warm and gracious host who prepared one of the most delicious meals we’ve had in all of Sicily. An unforgettable evening filled with great food, atmosphere, and hospitality.

04/09/2025: The location is undoubtedly evocative, behind the church of San Domenico and next to some jewels of Baroque architecture (Santa Maria in Valverde). The menu features traditional Palermitan cuisine; the dishes are good and plentiful, but not particularly exciting. The service is questionable, with waiters trying to take our plates away before we'd even finished... what a shame.
