We went for dinner using an app recommended by the apartment owners and ended up at Mafone. Very average. Food 6/10:/ The squid was stretched and rubbery, tough, the risotto was probably the best but a bit too salty, the shrimp pasta was okay. The food was saved by the chef himself, who came out anxiously to ask if everything was okay (he was very friendly).
The service was sulky. The guy was a bit lifeless. Not to mention his minimal English. There was no music, which made it awkward. The decor didn't quite work for me. :/ On the one hand, the tablecloths looked pretty good, but on the other, the service was typical of a typical bar.

A pleasant discovery.
The restaurant is frequented mostly by locals.
It's family-run, but no less professional: the food, courtesy, and service are top-notch.
Definitely recommended.

At Mafone's table
that evening
among simple dishes
that tasted of the sea and of home.
The bruschetta shone
like little islands of warm bread
crostini with baby clams and sea urchins,
the salty flavor
that spoke of the shore and the fishermen's dawn. A friend shouted poetry, poetry,
then the steaming pasta,
embraced with cuttlefish, octopus, and calamari,
an intertwining of the sea and expert hands
that transformed a Saturday evening
into a small celebration.
The glasses mingled softly,
with the sparkling wine
that tingled the tongue
like a sudden laugh.
And around
the warmth of friends,
that doesn't need great words
just a toast,
a knowing look,
the breaking of bread together.
Thus the evening passed slowly,
among the scents of the sea and the cuisine,
and the tavern became a port,
to return to
with the hunger of the heart

We had fettuccine, mixed salad, a variety of fish dishes, and the dessert shown in the photo. They also offered us sardine meatballs with tomato as an appetizer.
Everything was very fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and prompt.
Quiet location close to the cathedral. Highly recommended.
