Recommended by a local lady and close to our B&B, we went to dinner at this restaurant run by a local family...very friendly and elegant interior...everything was delicious...from the pasta with fish to the eggplant meatballs...highly recommended...

The food was exquisite, nothing to complain about: perfect. Service was poor: rude, surprisingly, in informing us that some dishes weren't included in the discount; no welcome; no receipt; ordered two pasta dishes when the restaurant was empty, and they arrived within five minutes of each other. The water and cover charge were extremely high for the restaurant. Too bad... It wouldn't take much to be top-notch.

I'd like to keep this little gem a secret so people can eat there whenever they want without a reservation and without the crowds. Octopus salad, pistachio fettuccine, and seafood scoglio.

One of the few authentic seafood trattorias left in Palermo. Far from the tourist traps. We've been going there for years, and it's always a guarantee of quality and professionalism.

Quiet local eatery. Food was very good (mussels, marinated red shrimp with mixed greens, real carbonara, rich meaty bolgonese, perfectly al dante pasta). Decent house white wine. Very friendly and helpful service. Best part is that it is located away from the tourist streets.

We went for dinner using an app recommended by the apartment owners and ended up at Mafone. Very average. Food 6/10:/ The squid was stretched and rubbery, tough, the risotto was probably the best but a bit too salty, the shrimp pasta was okay. The food was saved by the chef himself, who came out anxiously to ask if everything was okay (he was very friendly).
The service was sulky. The guy was a bit lifeless. Not to mention his minimal English. There was no music, which made it awkward. The decor didn't quite work for me. :/ On the one hand, the tablecloths looked pretty good, but on the other, the service was typical of a typical bar.

A pleasant discovery.
The restaurant is frequented mostly by locals.
It's family-run, but no less professional: the food, courtesy, and service are top-notch.
Definitely recommended.
