A wonderful little trattoria with fantastic views, warm and welcoming staff, and great music. We stopped here for a non-alcoholic aperitivo, and I (because of my pregnancy) received a custom-made antipasto platter with excellent bruschetta, cheese, and olives—all of very high quality. Right after the cathedral, this was our highlight in Monreale. Thank you so much!

The place is a hidden gem and therefore you have to take the stairs directly to the restaurants terras. The cook is also an artist which gives the place that extra atmosphere. The food is simple and therefore delicious. I saved the place and wil definitely come back!

This is a gem in Monreale! We enjoyed the best view from Monreale while, Claudia, the owner served us and shared with us her passion for good food, great music and Sicily. Enjoy!

A dream lunch on a terrace overlooking the sea. The owner was incredibly friendly, the music was great, and the eggplant was amazing. ❤️

A very charming place with attention to detail. The menu features local dishes; good food and reasonable prices. They have an extensive wine cellar with local wines. The staff is courteous and friendly. I highly recommend it for a stop in Monreale.

I went for lunch and I must say that, in addition to the spectacular view of Palermo, I also enjoyed traditional dishes cooked to perfection. The place was welcoming and the staff were very friendly. I'll definitely be back!

09/06/2026: I'd like to share my experience at Il Normanno. I had dinner with my family on the last day of my stay in Cefalù. I regretted not having discovered this place sooner; I would have come every day. The Mazara Red Shrimp Tartare was excellent; you could tell it was fresh. As was everything else. To finish, Carlo, the owner, recommended a delicious Sicilian amaro.
08/06/2026: Really lovely food, stunning views and the staff are so nice, our waiter James especially was full of great recommendations about food and italy.

10/06/2026: A hidden gem ✨...close to the Cathedral of Palermo is an authentic sicilian restaurant with a pleasant ambiance and cosy atmosphere. It is a must to eat here. The food is excellent and the service is friendly and helpfull. One of the best places i have eaten so far in Sicily.
10/06/2026: Had pasta which was really good and perfectly al dente. The food was generally tasty and well-made, but the price level is on the more expensive side. We paid €52 for two people: a glass of wine, a cola, a main course each and a cappuccino. Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 – friendly service and good pace Atmosphere: 4/5 – cozy and welcoming Good, well-made and central – but expect it to cost a little more than the average trattoria in Palermo.
