15/09/2025: I celebrated my eighteenth birthday at this place. The place is nice and the food is good—my mom comes here often and loves it. That said, my personal experience wasn't positive. The quality-price ratio isn't commensurate with what's offered. The owner was kind, but unfortunately, the girl serving at the "bar" was very rude to me: she often looked at me disrespectfully and was cold and annoyed, especially toward me, the birthday girl. Furthermore, when we asked to exchange a bottle (still unopened) for a Coke, she agreed, but brought us a smaller one, which I found unfair. Another aspect that disappointed me was the organization. The owner had told me she would install "disco lights," but they didn't. Only later did I discover that the lights had been installed in the other room. If she had let me know, I could have brought something myself to create the right atmosphere. Managing the entrances was also complicated: every time someone arrived, I had to go personally to open the door because no one bothered to welcome them or tell them where to ring. None of the staff was available to help me, even though it was my party. Finally, we had just finished cutting the cake when I asked if they could put it in the refrigerator so anyone who wanted could eat more later. The answer was that they had to "do 8,000 laps," so they would just leave it there. I also found this unprofessional.

25/08/2025: Excellent Chinese restaurant. The portions are generous, and the dumplings were truly stuffed with shrimp, not half-empty as is often the case. Since it was a Saturday night, the place was packed, but the staff was very efficient in keeping people from waiting too long. I recommend it.

24/08/2025: I've been to this restaurant several times; it's not great, but it's good enough. Lately, it's gradually gotten worse. First of all, with the heat last Friday, the air conditioning was off. As for the food, aside from the spring rolls, which were good, the Cantonese rice was overcooked and tasteless—definitely not freshly made, but reheated. The almond chicken was mediocre, with only 3 almonds (I counted them). The shrimp curry (once with 13 shrimp, now with the price almost doubled, reduced to 9), the plate filled with onions and bamboo shoots. Furthermore, the rolls and chicken were served all at once (no comment), while the shrimp took almost half an hour, when the desire to eat had already faded (there were very few people: 4/5 tables). Finally, since the Coke cans were warm, I asked for ice and, to my annoyance, they brought 3 tiny cubes the size of half a stock cube. 03/09/2025: Whenever I can, I go to this café for breakfast because they have delicious, filling, and unique croissants. They also serve a very generous aperitif dinner. I recommend it because it's delicious and inexpensive.

04/05/2025: Beppe Gallina è ormai da anni una certezza per torinesi e turisti. In entrambi i locali situati a Porta Palazzo e a San Salvario si mangia pesce fresco con un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. I piatti sono casalinghi, le porzioni abbondanti e il servizio semplice ma curato. La formula all inclusive (un piatto a scelta, un bicchiere di vino, acqua e focaccia) a 17 euro è geniale. Consigliatissimo.

25/04/2025: Sono stato per una cena con la famiglia in visita a Torino. Locale molto accogliente, cucina ottima preparata in maniera espressa proprio davanti a te. Sapori sopraffini, raffinati, sembrava di avere il mare in bocca. Complimenti per la gentilezza, la cortesia e la squisitezza dei piatti serviti. Consiglierò assolutamente e tornerò senza dubbio

12/10/2025: A guarantee for a good, traditional lunch in the city center. I booked a Sunday lunch through The Fork (they often offer discounts), and as soon as we entered, we were immediately seated at our table. The restaurant is mainly located in the basement, but also has a small dining room on the ground floor and an outdoor terrace. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The menu is extensive, with dishes for all tastes. The emphasis is on quality and seasonality. A good wine selection, for which you can ask the staff for recommendations. The prices are moderately high, but justified by the quality. I recommend it to anyone in the area looking for good, traditional food.

07/11/2025: The pan pizza and farinata were decent. Unfortunately, the rest of the place leaves a lot to be desired: the wait staff was unprofessional, a bit rude, and loud. The bathroom seriously needs a complete overhaul: dirty, peeling, and the bathroom door (as pictured) is terrifying to touch...filthy, with large stains of hand grease and other unidentifiable stains. The sink and floor, too...truly disgusting. The dining room was no exception: the radiators were peeling, with pieces falling off, and extremely dirty. Furthermore, they had completely turned the heating off, with the knobs on ZERO and a window open (it was 10°C outside). We complained, ate with coats on, and turned the knobs all the way up, but by then our lunch was ruined. A very dated and sad place...

30/09/2025: Found this place by chance while wandering around Turin. A real surprise. The unique interior almost feels like a vintage American diner. A wide selection of unique pizzas, including a choice of dough (regular, dark, gluten-free, or whole wheat). Friendly staff. (They even leave pizza cutters for cutlery, which I've never encountered before.)

14/09/2025: The quality of the food is superb, and it's no coincidence that I used a capital "Q." The service is excellent. Attention and care for the customer is a detail that is never overlooked at Medina, and you feel pampered. The dishes are a delight for the palate but also for the eye, which has always played its part in the restaurant industry. My heartfelt compliments to the entire staff, who, in addition to being highly knowledgeable about food and wine, are ready to satisfy every request from diners. A more than deserved five stars... Well done guys... 👏👏👏👏👏

29/08/2025: The pizza is super delicious and crispy, typical Italian pizza at a fair price. The pizza base is nice and thin and not super thick, so the topping-to-dough ratio is perfect. The owner was super friendly; our Italian is so-so, but we were able to speak to him in English. The ambiance is rather cold and doesn't feel particularly inviting. The color scheme is gray/white, and the lighting is cool white; I prefer warmer tones. The tables, placed side by side, are more reminiscent of a cafeteria. ...but the pizza and service were amazing. ;). I can definitely recommend this place.

14/10/2025: We had a great time. The small apartment was divided between an entrance hall with a small kitchenette, a small table with two chairs, and a single bed, and a cozy double bedroom with a bathroom. Everything was clean. Coffee or tea were available, and we could bring a small snack. The bathroom, while well-appointed, was small; the hot water for a shower was enough for two people. The location is good, about a 10-minute walk from the Porta Nuova train station and 10 from the historic center. The owners welcomed us warmly, offering us tips on what to see and where to eat.

04/07/2025: Il gelato di per sé è buono, a parer mio uno dei migliori di Torino anche per quanto riguarda gli ingredienti.. però questo non basta.. il gelato a “palline” NO vi prego, il gelato si mette con la spatola.. due misere palline: la coppetta era mezza vuota, 3,5€.. mamma che tristezza, mi hanno intristito davvero

29/06/2025: Dopo aver fatto la fila e assaggiato il gelato ci è sembrato di vivere in un altro mondo. Il gelato non ha nulla di particolare sia per cremosità che per gusto. Probabilmente la Mara dei boschi che miete consensi e premi si trova altrove.
