31/08/2025: We made a reservation for this restaurant as we weren't sure how busy it would be the day before the Mangialonga. We were greeted warmly and given the choice of eating indoors or outdoors. We chose the outdoor terrace. By the end of the evening, every table was taken! The food menu is limited, but still has a lot of choice. We went for both tajarin dishes for primi and the Fassona steak for the secondi. Everything was excellent and we enjoyed matching these with some of the wines by the glass. Special thanks to our server Ina (apologies if this is misspelled). She was very friendly and helpful in explaining the dishes and the wine menu. She also helped my partner practice his beginner's Italian. I would recommend making reservations, especially if you'd like an outdoor table. Saying that, a couple of walk-ins did get lucky with tables on the terrace. We enjoyed the ambiance of the square with the buzz of other diners round us. Thanks for a great evening!

23/08/2025: A very pretty and pleasant refuge. The owners are very kind, and the rooms are very clean! Dinner is a pleasant experience with a surprise menu every evening. Cons: A very, very big negative about breakfast: (photo) 4 thin slices of bread, 2 extra-thin pieces of cake, and industrial tea. While they sell beautiful homemade cakes and herbal teas made with local herbs up above, it's a shame compared to other refuges in the area... it's possible to have a more substantial breakfast for €10 with two cold hard-boiled eggs and a few slices of cheese. For lunch, €7 is a thin foccacia sandwich with almost no cheese 😅 A small warning: our room was next to the rest room, and even though we were lucky enough to have a large room for two, it was very noisy whenever someone took a shower. An annoyance was that they no longer had Wi-Fi due to the village festival earlier in the season, and there was no mobile signal inside the refuge. A very pleasant experience, in a beautiful little village, but the value for money was not up to par as it was too expensive.

20/08/2025: We had lunch here while passing through, and since it was August, we had lunch outside. The location is informal, cute, and pleasant. The staff were very kind, the food was good, with just a few items, but all authentic, made directly by them. I recommend it!

12/09/2025: We waited almost an hour for pizzas after the recent merger with Gusto Divino (a terrible choice). After 53 minutes, they brought us two small plates to share, one of which was dirty. The pizzas were okay, although the menu is particularly limited, and even though all three of us ordered different pizzas, they all had the same ingredients, with a few small variations. There are many great places in Saluzzo, but this isn't one of the lucky ones.

17/08/2025: Wonderful restaurant with original dishes and a multiple vegetarian and vegan dishes! It was a delight to eat here and we really enjoyed every spoon. Especially the spumo di buffala con pomodore was delicious. Service was also friendly and on point. Highly recommend !

21/05/2025: This place is fantastic from every point of view! I often go to this hut both in winter and summer. The place is taken care of in the smallest details, the waits are very short because the staff is very prepared both in the kitchen and in the dining room and the food is really good and plentiful. Excellent food and wide variety! In my opinion it is the best hut in Prato Nevoso.

31/08/2025: The best meat I've ever eaten. I had to eat it with my eyes closed to experience the full symphony of flavors and not miss a single one. My dad and I both had the Canadian Picanha. We both thought it was the best we'd ever had. Huge compliments to the chef and staff. We were also kindly offered a bottle of prosecco, a promise kept even though it was made three years ago. We hope to return soon!

11/07/2025: This is now my third time here: a must for meat lovers. The cooking process can be described as scientific (with an internal temperature gauge, admired in action) for optimal results. On this last occasion, I tried the Australian wagyu: I've never tasted anything like it. A sweet meat (in fact, the coarse salt was a must, as the owners know well) that melts in the mouth like few others. From the platter, a special mention goes to the paleta de cebo de campo, which I appreciated even more than the other already excellent cuts. The whole thing is crowned by a truly remarkable landscape, in the cool of approximately 960 meters above sea level.

03/03/2025: We went to this pizzeria that recommended the farmhouse where we were staying in the area! The proposal is really varied because there are more doughs to choose from and many ingredients to combine! We took their dough but the others also inspired us! It's thicker with a great texture and served on a wooden cutting board! The pizzas were fabulous and also the people who work in this place, all very kind♥️ but opening a branch in Turin too?!?!
