31/03/2025: Locale normale, ne bello ne brutto, pizza normale, servizio cortese, prezzo normale. Nulla che te lo faccia ricordare, nel bene e nel male. Dovessi ritornare in zona non sarebbe la prima scelta ma potri anche tornarci in mancanza di alternative.

30/03/2025: Locale piacevole con ampio parcheggio . Tutto buono . La pizza di impasto Napoli è da tirare ancora un po’. I taglieri direi bene ma non benissimo. Rivedere la selezione salumi e formaggi. Buon servizio, ma il consiglio è: evitiamo su un tavolo media grandezza di portare tutto insieme

27/02/2025: Piedmont, motorsport, art and slow food - an exceptional restaurant The Montecarlo restaurant, inconspicuous from the street, is located on a country road outside Tortona. The family business has been run by the third generation since 1915. The traditional recipes and use of local products are passed down from generation to generation. Because of the zero-kilometer kitchen philosophy and product quality, Montecarlo is recommended by Slow Food Italia year after year. No matter how inconspicuous the restaurant appears from the street, the more the guest is surprised when they enter it. The ambience is a colorful museum-like mix of the modern history of the Colli Tortonesi. Racing motorcycles, engine parts, trophies and helmets pay homage to the local heroes alongside many photos - but also a current autograph of the winner of this year's 24-hour Le Mans race, Alessandro Pier Guidi (Ferrari), from Tortona, clearly adorns a wall of the colorful restaurant. Another hero is the most famous Italian racing cyclist Fausto Coppi, who chose the hills around Tortona as his training area. The well-known painter Aldo Gentilini designed some of the walls with his cubist paintings. Another eye-catcher is a huge mural depicting an iconic photo of Fausto Coppi and his opponent Gino Bartali during the 1952 Tour de France - a historic photo of the Italian cycling legend who is still revered in Piedmont today. It's no wonder that with so many visual impressions, the Monte Carlo's kitchen fades into the background - but that's not justified. Because here is another place where straightforward Piedmontese regional cuisine is traditionally and freshly prepared. We had baked porcini mushrooms and fettuccine with beans and pecorino as primi. Plus a Sfera red wine from the Vigneti Repetto winery, our hosts at the time, who produce a very nice Barbera. Our secondi were wonderful low-temperature cooked veal cheeks in a fantastically rich red wine sauce and creamy mashed potatoes and grilled octopus with mashed potatoes and peas. The dessert was also a perfectly prepared regional classic: Volpedo peaches in muscat aspic - aromatic, fruity and wonderfully refreshing when well chilled. In the end, it's really hard for us to describe what we liked best about the Montecarlo.

Typical Piedmontese proposals, with some exceptions from Lombard cuisine. Really interesting quality/price ratio. Friendly owner and good service. Highly recommended.

23/02/2025: Un sabato sera con amici che verrà ricordato a lungo La cordialità di Donatella ci ha accolti nel suo.locale caldo ed elegante Il menù ha rispecchiato totalmente le nostre attese sia come qualità che come quantità Baccalà e guanciotte erano emozionanti, cavatelli di zucca superlativi...fritto di calamari croccante e morbido come dev'essere una nota particolare la meritano i dolci...un fine pasto che ti fa dire: ritorneremo! Grazie ancora per le emozioni che ci hai regalato...buona vita Donatella!!

08/04/2025: Typical Piedmontese trattoria, traditional fixed menu with an excellent assortment of appetizers, 2 first courses and 1 second course and dessert. Ideal for Sunday lunch with nice tables or in company. Every time we have been to this place we have always left satisfied, both for quantity and quality. Friendly staff and more than honest bill of about €40 (obviously it could vary depending on the wine chosen) Recommended!!

06/04/2025: Splendid inn on the hills of Pecetto di Valena. On nice days you can eat outside with a splendid view of the adjacent hills. The fixed menu is varied and changes every week, with some excellences such as raw meat with a mustard sauce and onions... delicious! The staff is very kind and very helpful. The rustic environment is refined at the same time. You will wake up with a full belly. Great selection of wines. The environment is also suitable for parties and events with many people. Reservation required as it is very crowded. Advised

24/02/2025: We went on Saturday evening. Friendly staff, excellent food. Usually pan pizza doesn't drive me crazy but I really liked this one. The mixed starters are also excellent. The tiramisu was delicious!! We will definitely be back.👌

02/03/2025: Non ci siamo per niente, purtroppo. Mi aspettavo, date anche le recensioni, molto di più e bisgna dare al cliente molto di più e non basta la simpatia della cameriera. Ma come si fanno a spacciare normali spaghetti per tagliolini al sugo di lepre o, peggio, per vitello tonnato fettine di carne aggiustate, in maniera discutibile, con maionese.... Migliorare e di corsa, ci vuole poco ma serve un atto di coscienza professionale. Un giorno ringrazierete questo consiglio (la critica sarebbe improduttiva).
