It might look a bit odd from the outside, but inside the atmosphere is very pleasant and the food is excellent, a mix of Mediterranean and Italian. Highly recommended. And the owner is incredibly cheerful and provides excellent service. Definitely worth repeating.

02/07/2026: A good place for a Ligurian lunch in the historic center of Genoa. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. In the summer heat, there was virtually no temperature difference between the two options, so we opted for the outdoor seating. This restaurant has a very unusual ordering system: you order the food menu yourself at a separate window and then pick it up, while the waiter takes your drink and dessert orders and then brings them. Some items on both menus overlap, which naturally leads to errors when calculating the final bill. It seems like a clear overcomplication of the concept. The menu is extensive, with a wide selection of dishes and a wide variety of drinks. We had minestrone and potatoes with octopus. The minestrone wasn't like the kind you're used to in the rest of Italy. Here, it's more like porridge in consistency. But it was still delicious. The octopus was beyond praise. The establishment is good, the main thing is not to get confused by the ordering system.

The crust is high and airy (what experts call "a dinghy"), but with a crispy edge that avoids the "bubblegum" effect. Finishing the pizza doesn't leave you with that heavy feeling that forces you to drink two liters of water overnight.

05/07/2026: On Friday, July 3rd, I stopped at this focacceria with a friend before going to a concert in the harbor area (a few hundred meters away, so a great location). What can I say? Besides the divine food, we also enjoyed a half-hour chat with the owner. A wonderful person who made us feel "Genoese" from every pore. A must-see if you're passing through the city—it's truly worth it!

Two characteristics that, until last Saturday, hadn't enticed me, as a true Genoese, to go there. Big mistake. Because it's an excellent restaurant. The menu is very rich with unique dishes and truly unique pairings. My partner and I were very satisfied, to say the least. What I found truly exceptional was the service. A team of truly talented, impeccable young men and women. It was a wonderful evening. Thanks to the dishes, but also to them.

Raw ingredients are prepared with great simplicity and research, and the menu features traditional dishes revisited with great sensitivity. 31/07/2026: One of the best meals ever. The pasta tasted like they cooked each piece to perfection. The minestrone soup made me cry as it brought me back to my childhood. Never tasted anything like it. The steaks we had tasted better than beef. I imagine if God made unicorns and fed them acorns and massaged them all day, the meat would taste like this. The dessert (crème catalana) was so good that I am surprised Jesus didn’t resurrect himself already to have it. Our waitress Valentina was awesome! Seriously if this is not 5 stars then nothing is. Better than Michelin restaurants we’ve eaten at.

16/07/2026: Tried it for a business lunch. Everyone at the end of the meal was happy with their choice. What I appreciated was the impeccable service. We spent a pleasant hour. Excellent wine selection. As for the fried food, I found the quantity of fries excessive, although they tasted good. Compliments, really. Lately, the low noise level has made it possible to converse well.
