30/04/2026: This restaurant was definitely off the road but well worth the visit. It's pretty popular so if you get there during the lunch hour be prepared to wait. The food is definitely worth waiting for in the view is absolutely beautiful.
02/04/2026: The trattoria has been run by the Malatesta family for two centuries.
Mother and elderly aunt in the kitchen, daughters Mara and her sister in the dining room.
The truly excellent local cuisine, the atmosphere, and the family feel, along with excellent value, are unparalleled, so much so that it's worth traveling with my wife from Camogli two or three times a week.
A trattoria that's always busy, open only on weekdays and Sunday lunchtime, and not on Saturdays, because the goal isn't to maximize profits, but to support the family.
You can feel the beauty of the past, and I hope a place like this continues to exist.

I was passing through Cicagna and, looking for a place to eat, I stumbled upon this diner. I was a little confused at first, because at the entrance I saw a counter selling fresh pasta. But once I found the right entrance, I discovered the true heart of the place.
I tried the ravioli with meat sauce and I must say the quality was truly excellent. The ravioli were incredibly fresh, the meat sauce flavorful, and the portions were generous. My only small complaint, which doesn't affect my overall rating, concerns the oil, which, in my opinion, wasn't up to par with the deliciousness of the ravioli.
The service was very quick, and my dish was served piping hot in no time. The staff was very kind and welcoming. The only thing that could be improved is the table layout, which is a bit too close together.
Overall, my rating is absolutely positive. The experience was excellent and I intend to return, perhaps with more time, to try the full menu that intrigued me.

09/06/2025: Ieri abbiamo festeggiato in questo posto meraviglioso la comunione di nostra figlia, loro sono stati splenditi! Cristian e tutto il personale sono stati gentili e disponibili, il mangiare è stato sopra alle aspettative, tutto ottimo dall’antipasto al secondo, abbiamo ricevuto un sacco di complimenti! Ci tengo a dire che oltre a noi c’era un’altra comunione e un battesimo ma loro hanno lavorato alla perfezione senza sbagliare un colpo nel sevizio e nella qualità del cibo e non è da tutti!!! Non posso far altro che consigliarli a tutti! Felicissimi di avervi scelto, alla prossima!

16/10/2023: Abbiamo provato varie volte il menú operai che non ci ha mai deluso. La cuoca è molto brava, buonissimi i primi, pasta con cottura perfetta, eccellente la pasta all'arrabbiata, senza uguali. Ottimi i secondi come anche i dolci. Oggi sorpresa da un tiramisú fatto in casa veramente buono. Personale gentile e disponibile, veloce il servizio, sia per il pranzo che per la colazione. Un "consigliato" lo meritano a pieni voti.
