A pleasant discovery in the Ligurian restaurant scene, which is often a tourist trap with high prices and sub-par quality. However, La voglia matta impresses right from the start with the professional staff and warm welcome from the owner. Then there's the very interesting seafood menu, expertly crafted by the chef. The ingredients are top-quality, such as the breaded anchovies, beautifully prepared and elegantly presented. To explain the style: when we were hesitant about the anchovy crumble dessert (!!!), the owner brought us a complimentary sample. In the end, with a shared appetizer, two fresh fish main courses, a shared dessert, a glass of wine, two glasses of passito, cover charge, and bread (an excellent mixed basket), it cost about €35 per person—definitely very reasonable, and therefore highly recommended.

A dinner in superb company. Starting with the traditional focaccia with the best Genoese pesto I've ever eaten, continuing with an exceptional shrimp carpaccio (thanks to the quality of the shrimp and the skillful use of flavors and grated lemon zest) and a pumpkin flan so good I wanted to order a second. All accompanied by two bottles of natural wine that paired perfectly with the dishes (thanks to the sommelier and the producers...). To finish, a white chocolate cream with fruit pieces, a taste sensation. Kudos to the entire team... An experience worth repeating, a dive into the authentic Genoa that I recommend to all travelers.

I went there for dinner tonight for the first time and immediately sensed the expertise and passion behind every dish, along with the attention to detail. Simplicity is a key added value. The place is very clean and welcoming, the dishes are delicious and balanced, the wine list is excellent, including natural wines, and the best coffee I've had in years. The prices are definitely fair. Overall, I had a great time here and can't recommend it highly enough!
