29/04/2026: What an enjoyable last dinner in Florence before we head back home. From start to finish the service was attentive, exceptional, and they put you at ease. We enjoyed the amuse bouche and our ravioli and filet of sole mains and had to leave room for dessert. The food was beautifully presented and as appealing to the eye as it was to the taste buds. Thank you Osteria da Fiore for making our last meal in Venice so memorable!
19/04/2026: The food was great but the service needs improvement. Everything was going ok but the staff, except for the women, were condescending. We felt like we were imposing on them. We got our third close at all different time. Two in our party got it an hour after the others were completely finished. After waiting an hour we had to ask 3 times if our last course was coming! And again the staff made no apology for the delay and made us feel we were imposing. It was disappointing.

11/04/2026: We had lunch here and the setting is definitely a highlight—the view is beautiful and makes for a really pleasant atmosphere. The food was decent, nothing particularly memorable but perfectly fine for a casual meal.
What really surprised us, though, was the pricing of the wine. There were no prices listed for wine by the glass on the menu, only for full bottles. We ordered house white, assuming it would be reasonably priced, but it turned out to be €15 per glass. By the time we had three glasses, we had essentially paid the price of an entire bottle.
Overall, it’s a nice spot for the view and a relaxed lunch, but the lack of transparency on drink pricing was disappointing and something to be aware of.
07/04/2026: Service and atmosphere were good. The food on the other hand was mediocre. Got the veal schnitzel and part of it was still raw. Showed it to the waiter and he took it and they fried it more. I'm not sure if that's how it should be done in such restaurants.
Prices are definitely touristic and you don't get what you pay for. If I'm paying premium prices, I expect premium dishes. Not empty dishes or small portions. Take more but give me value in return.

The staff are exceptionally kind and genuinely understand hospitality, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. As for the food—it is simply outstanding, full of rich flavors and perfectly executed. And the desserts are absolutely breathtaking, the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal.
A must-visit spot for anyone who appreciates real Italian cuisine and heartfelt hospitality.

14/06/2025: Amazing dining experience! Went for lunch multiple days and stayed at the Eight hotel so were often patrons of the beach club as well. Bilal made our experience truly amazing though. He was attentive, friendly, respectful, funny, entertaining and truly the best server we have ever had, even at our home in the United States! We will always cherish the restaurant and beach club at 8 Paraggi because of Bilal. Best server and service ever. Our whole family loves him!

The food is amazing, it’s really one of tue best restaurants we went to during our stay in the ligure Rivera.
I recommend the thin pesto pasta !

09/04/2026: After staying several nights, we found this place, and so glad we did. We ordered the spaghetti with clams, pesto lasagne, pesto gnocchi and four seasons pizza (Quattro stagioni) - these were all delicious and reasonably priced for Portofino. Service was friendly, prompt and they went out of their way to accommodate us to make a table of four. Highly recommend.
28/03/2026: What we got was quite expensive. €18 for a tiny portion of tasteless gnocchi.
And then they automatically added a €12 tip.
Absolutely outrageous, not recommended at all!!

17/04/2026: I visited Dolce Cabana in Portofino with very high expectations, considering the setting and location. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing in several respects.
The terrace, which should be the highlight, is not particularly well-maintained and doesn't convey the special atmosphere one would expect in a place like Portofino. Overall, it feels rather bland and under-appreciated.
The service also leaves much to be desired: the staff is present, but they give the impression of being there just to do their job, with no attention or involvement with the customer. It completely lacks that welcoming touch that would make all the difference.
Finally, a major negative note concerns the bathroom, which was truly disappointing and not up to par with the setting. In a place like this, certain details should be given much more attention.
Overall, an experience that didn't meet the expectations associated with a destination like Portofino.

A bowl of water was brought for our dog without us even asking, which was very kind.
As for the food, the pesto pasta was decent. The scampi were good, but served without even a small salad or sauce to accompany the dish. It gave an unpleasant feeling of being in a tourist trap, barely welcoming, yet with prices typical of Portofino.
Last year we also spent a week here and were never disappointed with lunch or dinner. It's fine to pay a bill that reflects the location, but for a quality meal. This felt more like having eaten in a small snack bar.
We didn't feel like having dessert here; we'll have it elsewhere.
Perhaps other options on the menu would have been more appropriate, but our neighbors had mussels without fries or salad. So...

08/05/2026: We had a very good meal, the staff were particularly friendly. Beautiful view of the harbor. A very good place to eat.
06/05/2026: We had lunch there and ordered two types of pasta: penne and Alfredo spaghetti. The spaghetti was incredibly rich. We also ordered a fried chicken strip, which was delicious.
The only downside is that it's charged 5 euros per person, plus there's a tax on every order. They could have just offered one of the two. And I thank Ms. Nisreen for her excellent service.
