07/06/2026: We’ve dined here many times over recent years, and of course we keep returning. The menu just keeps getting better, an amazing offering of simplicity and sophistication. The wine choices are perfect, and good value. The staff, top class. The meals as good as you could ever have in any top rated establishment.

29/05/2026: The cuisine is amazing, the welcome is extraordinary, and the courtesy is exquisite. A restaurant worth trying if you're in the area... the mandrilli al pesto is superb. The capon magro is top-notch. The cod and trio of appetizers are excellent. Why didn't we discover you sooner?!?! Thanks to all the staff in the dining room and kitchen.

10/05/2026: A very characteristic place, clean and tidy, the staff are kind and helpful, the owner is the star of the place, the raw materials are good and the wine selection is good, the prices are reasonable.

29/03/2026: We returned to this restaurant after celebrating our daughter's wedding there a few years ago. The food was excellent, the location enchanting, and the service attentive. After lunch, we spent the afternoon in the restaurant garden with the children soaking up the sun while enjoying a splendid view.

01/03/2026: A scenic setting on the Arenzano hill with a breathtaking view. Convenient parking. Traditional Ligurian menu that adapts to the seasons with a few small variations. The staff is friendly and attentive. The spacious restaurant is stylishly furnished and well-organized. It's a regular stop every time I pass by.

23/05/2026: This restaurant is a real gem in this region. A very warm welcome and impeccable service. The homemade cuisine, typical of the region, was excellent. The wine list ranges from €15 to €90. We had a Chianti for €20, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Quality, price, service, welcome, location: everything was perfect. We recommend it without hesitation.

20/05/2026: It's so nice to eat in a cave. The food is good and hasn't changed for 40 years (but it's been there much longer). The set menu includes various appetizers, two first courses, two second courses, dessert, water, wine, and coffee. €40.

06/04/2026: It could have been better… Of all the culinary experiences I've had in my life, I think this one ranks near the bottom of my list. To begin with, the first impression was ruined by the awful smell of fried food as soon as we walked in the door: to be clear, "fried" doesn't mean the smell of fish in a restaurant, but rather the stench of used oil, as if the dining room had been set up directly inside the kitchen! When we politely asked, "Good morning, is there room for three people?", the staff slumped and said, "I don't know...", as if we weren't welcome at all and the restaurant was full. In reality, only a couple's table was occupied, and to top it all, our greeting wasn't returned. Fortunately (or should I say unfortunately), despite countless minutes of silence, they managed to assign us a table, but when we saw the glasses, our eyes widened. Not only had they been poorly dried and therefore full of limescale, they were also completely dirty, almost as if they hadn't been washed. My friends and I even worried about being rude by asking for a change, but the situation was quite unhygienic: so, after asking for a change, they brought us new glasses, which weren't even much better than the others in terms of cleanliness, and what's more, they were wine glasses (when we only had still water to drink). We also had other basic requests, such as at least some cutlery or a pasta dish without pieces of foil inside... but we let it go; it wouldn't have been worth it, especially since the staff from the start was neither welcoming nor particularly helpful. On the other hand, there's nothing negative to say about the food: even if the quality wasn't the best, we managed to eat well. Another plus point of this restaurant is definitely the portions, which are directly proportionate to their price (which may initially seem a bit excessive). We struggled to finish two plates of pasta between three people. To be honest, I wouldn't go back...I just hope they can improve on these "little things" that would really make a difference!

17/05/2026: We recently had dinner at La Cantina Clandestina and overall it was a really memorable experience. The atmosphere was one of the highlights of the evening — warm, lively, and cozy without feeling crowded. It has that authentic Genovese charm that makes you want to stay for hours enjoying good food and wine with friends. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the meal, always happy to offer recommendations and make sure everything was going well without being intrusive. The food was excellent from start to finish, especially the seafood dishes, which tasted incredibly fresh and well prepared. The wine selection also deserves special mention, with plenty of great options that paired perfectly with the meal. The only downside during the evening was the noticeable number of fruit flies around the table, which became a bit distracting at times while eating. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it was definitely something we noticed throughout dinner. Hopefully it’s an issue the restaurant can improve, because aside from that small inconvenience, everything else was fantastic. Overall, I’d still happily recommend La Cantina Clandestina to anyone looking for excellent seafood, and a welcoming atmosphere in Genova.

Fast, professional service, a warm welcome, courtesy, and unparalleled customer service. An impeccable wine selection, with hundreds of gems, and meticulous attention to detail, allows for an easy selection of unforgettable wines. Convenient, free parking is available just a few meters from the restaurant. It easily makes it into the top ten restaurants to visit frequently.

19/12/2025: We tried some truly unique gelato flavors, all excellent. You can really taste the love she puts into making them, all with quality ingredients. The very kind owner sells her products well by letting you sample them. A notable bonus is that she speaks several languages. We returned the next day to try more unusual flavors.

11/06/2026: Granted, I visit several starred restaurants a year, but I never write reviews. However, I think it's right to do so for this restaurant because I had a divine meal tonight. Originality, identity, refinement, balance... I don't think one star is enough, and I'm convinced that Genoa will soon finally have its own two-starred restaurant.

10/06/2026: Truly fantastic dinner! I had high expectations, and I must say they were exceeded. Every dish was meticulously crafted, with original yet balanced flavors. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the hard work that goes into each course. The chef is young and full of delicious ideas. The portions are adequate, and you leave the dinner feeling full and satisfied. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, putting us at ease from the very first moment. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, without the excessive formality sometimes found in Michelin-starred restaurants. We chose the 7-course tasting menu—"trust me!"—and anyone who says you leave Michelin-starred restaurants still hungry has probably been to one. In fact, we left with satisfied appetites and the desire to return to discover new dishes. Kudos to the entire staff!

18/05/2026: 🍝 Locanda degli Adorno ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Don't be fooled by the appearance of the alley: here you can eat AMAZING at the best price in Genoa! The classic example of a "hidden gem." It's located near the university area, tucked away in a narrow alley that might seem a bit uninspiring at first glance and leave you a little wary. But trust me, keep going: once you cross the threshold, you enter a whole new world! The atmosphere changes completely, the welcome is warm, and the aromas are spectacular. By far the best place I've eaten in Genoa for value. The quality of the dishes is truly astronomical at super-fair prices. 🍲 What to try: The typical Genoese cuisine and seafood dishes are fantastic, cooked with love and the freshest ingredients. Authentic and genuine flavors that will stay in your heart. 💰 Value for money: Unbeatable. Generous portions, divinely cooked fish, and a bill that will leave you speechless (in a positive way!). 💡 My Local Guide tip: Since it's a small, hidden place, but beloved by locals and students, it's definitely worth making a reservation, especially for dinner. Highly recommended. If you want authentic Genoese cuisine without frills but with incredible quality, you have to come here!
