Absolutely stunning collection for a free museum. Of course, I am American and my mind is blown by anything older than the 1700's . Still, Absolutely worth the time to visit if you're in the area.

The Palazzo Rosso, part of the Strada Nuova Museums, is one of Genoa's most elegant museums. Its rooms are richly decorated, with frescoes and original furnishings that recount the aristocratic life of the past.
The collection includes works by great artists such as Anthony van Dyck and Guido Reni, harmoniously displayed.
In addition to the quality of the works, the intimate and well-curated atmosphere is striking, allowing you to enjoy the visit calmly and unhurriedly.
The rooms are clearly organized and enhance every detail, making the experience enjoyable even for non-art experts.
The panoramic terrace offers a splendid view of the city, perfect for concluding the tour.
An engaging and refined visit, ideal for those who love art and history.

A remarkable collection, particularly notable are the two rooms dedicated to Van Dyck, the frescoed vaults, and other works by masters such as Dürer and Palma Vecchio. It's a shame that the information is rather inadequate.

The Red Palace is clearly more luxurious and opulent than the White House. The red bed and the room with mirrors make you think it was for a special purpose. A quick search confirms that it is indeed the "Red Palace bridal chamber." Mirrors must have been a luxury item in ancient times. The use of many oversized mirrors here shows that the owner of the Red Palace was very wealthy.

It's very large. It's a large and interesting collection. Unfortunately, the light isn't good everywhere. Bring binoculars. But the staff is kind and friendly.
