09/05/2026: A historic restaurant. Its elegant and varied decor is very distinctive. It's also full of photos of people who have visited the restaurant over the years.
Impeccable service. The waiter was precise, extremely attentive, and not only served the guests but also entertained them with moderation. The dishes were excellent. The focaccia was exquisite, as was the fish soup. The same can be said for the "pesto lasagna" (which is actually a giant pappardelle). The desserts were also very impressive, especially—I don't remember the name—a sort of chocolate and rum cream puff.
Really good. Worth a try.

09/05/2026: I ate here because of the reviews, but my experience was not good at all. At one point i even doublechecked if i was at the right restaurant.
The servers were nice but incredibly slow (not because it was busy - they saw me and literally counted 5 missisippi between every step they took to get to me ) and the food was not delicious at all.
I dont think its worth the price.

I ordered the grilled octopus with turmeric puree and the squid ink tagliolini with pistachio pesto.
The octopus was crispy on the outside, while the inside was tender yet pleasantly firm—really fresh.
The squid ink pasta was also delicious, with generous portions, and the dishes arrived quickly.
The staff is very kind and welcoming.
The restaurant is quite busy: there were already many customers at 7:30 PM.
Highly recommended!

10/04/2026: The atmosphere is that of an intimate, small, and comfortable tavern. The perfect spot for a quaint alleyway. The service is quick and attentive, thanks to its authenticity. The host and host explain the dishes, which are excellent in their simplicity. Compliments to the chef, who is skilled at preparing and displaying the dishes simply. It was a great evening. Everyone was happy (2 adults, 2 teenagers, and 1 child). The experience was excellent, and the price was very fair.
06/04/2026: Despite being a regular stop in Genoa, on this last visit I didn't find the same quality of the dishes that distinguishes the usual standards. Has the management changed? While it remains a good experience, I hope for a return...to the past in the future.

We loved everything, from the coffee to every pastry we ordered. This was in the summer of 2023; however, we happened to find the receipt and decided to write this review.

The ice cream selection is varied and delicious.
The coffee and aperitifs are equally excellent.
A special mention to Nicola for his helpfulness, courtesy, and, above all, professionalism.

02/05/2026: After an hour of waiting, we gave up on our order and left at 2:00 PM. We set out to find a place to have lunch, but all the places were packed and there were long lines. Perhaps it would have been better to leave this historic establishment as a renowned ICE CREAM PARLOR only, because they're not organized with the kitchen. It's a shame to have to give it a negative review, but based on today's experience, I can't help but...maybe there's a better opportunity next time.
